I overheard a conversation between a Demon Race’s Protector and the man who appeared at the Ancient Clan with the black token. It appears that they’re trying to resurrect a guy named Lucifer Menachem. However, I have no idea why the Demon Race retreated all of a sudden.”
She narrated the chain of events. She also mentioned James.
“James!” The Divine Holy Emperor shouted.
James emerged from the crowd and looked at the Divine Holy Emperor before him. He already suspected him as the Divinity Sect was the one that chose the location of the Grand Tournament. Did they not
screen through the place before making their decision?
However, he remained silent.
He spoke, “Holy Emperor.”
The Divine Holy Emperor questioned, “What happened exactly?”
James answered, “I came across a group of cultivators who were being pursued and saved them. That’s when I learned that the Demon Race was capturing people everywhere. So, I began searching for the cultivators who were being imprisoned. By the time I found them, the Demon Race had already left. I don’t know what happened either.”
Hearing this, the Divine Holy Emperor furrowed his eyebrows.
Then, the Welkin Academy’s headmaster stepped forward and said, “Alright now, you’re dismissed.”
The participants of the Grand Tournament turned to leave.
