Chapter 3799

“Understood.”

Lishai bid farewell to the Omnipotent Lord before turning to leave.

Wearing a grim expression, the Omnipotent Lord murmured, “I never thought that there would be a mysterious powerful figure in the twelve universes. Can one truly surpass the limitations of Heaven and Earth and break through the Nine-Power Macrocosm Ancestral God Rank?”

At that moment, Yermolai returned.

“Master.”

The Omnipotent Lord’s thoughts were interrupted by Yermolai. He collected himself and looked at Yermolai. Seeing that he was injured, he asked, “I thought that your injuries have just recuperated. Why are you injured again?”

Yermolai was aggrieved. His face darkened as he said, “Master, you have to help me out here.”

“What happened?” The Omnipotent Lord asked.

Yermolai said, “I went looking for Quanesha Samara in the Mount Snow Sect. There, I sensed a powerful Formation. Just as I was about to break the Formation, I was stopped by Quanesha. However, the more she protested, the more curious I was. I thought the Mount Snow Sect was hiding some sort of secret. I tried to break the Formation by force but to no avail. At that moment, someone appeared. He was Forty-nine of the Twelfth Universe. He was the one who injured me. He’s too haughty, Master. First, he injured me. Next, he killed Santino Hiram. Santino’s one of us, Master! You have to teach Forty-nine a lesson!”

Yermolai spat.

He wanted James dead. However, as he stood no chance against James, he could only convince his master to act.

However, upon hearing this, the Omnipotent Lord’s expression darkened, and he slapped Yermolai across the face. As the force was great, a few of Yermolai’s teeth flew out. He collapsed to the ground and rolled over a couple of times. He immediately got up and knelt, saying, “What have I done wrong, Master? Please enlighten me.”

“Why did you have to offend Forty-Nine?!” The Omnipotent Lord reprimanded him.

“...”

Yermolai was stunned. Why could he not offend Forty-nine?

“I want you to enter a closed-door meditation right now. You are not allowed to leave the Ancestral Holy Site. If you ever encounter Forty-nine again in the future, you better watch out not to offend him again.”

“Yes, of course.”

Yermolai nodded profusely. Even though he was a Macrocosm Ancestral God, he was nothing before the Omnipotent Lord. Even though he had no idea why his master was enraged, he did not inquire further.

“You are dismissed.”

The Omnipotent Lord waved his hand slightly.

Yermolai hurriedly turned to leave. As he left, he caressed his swollen face and wondered, ‘What happened? Forty-nine came from the Twelfth Universe and has no relationship with Master. So, why is Master shielding him and even warning me not to offend him?’

Yermolai had no idea what was going on.

Time passed. In the blink of an eye, only a few months remained till the Consolidation Conference.

In the restricted area of the Mount Snow Sect, Quanesha, who was dressed in an elegant dress, appeared and looked at James, who was sitting in a lotus position on the ground, saying, “It’s time to head to the Ancestral Holy Site.”

James opened his eyes and stopped cultivating. Standing up, he exercised his muscles and gazed into the distance. “At long last, the time has come. I wonder if anything unexpected will happen during the Consolidation Conference.”

“See you tomorrow.”
