As Longinus took a seat, he glanced at the Unmatched Emperor. Realizing he could not see through him, he froze.

'What's going on? Why are there so many powerful figures emerging out of nowhere all of a sudden?'

Though puzzled, he smiled and asked, "Who is this, Forty-nine?"

James introduced the Unmatched Emperor with a smile, "This is the Unmatched Emperor. He's also a living being of the Twelfth Universe."

"The Twelfth Universe as well?"

Longinus was stunned.

His gaze was fixed on the Unmatched Emperor as he said with a sigh, "What's with the Twelfth Universe? Why are there suddenly so many powerful figures appearing out of nowhere?"

As an Eight-Power Macrocosm Ancestral God, individuals whom he could not see through must certainly be stronger than him. The Unmatched Emperor must have crossed into the Nine-Power Macrocosm Ancestral God Rank. Two Nine-Power Macrocosm Ancestral Gods appearing in such a short period of time was certainly shocking. This was simply too terrifying.

Longinus took a deep breath and clasped his fists as a sign of greeting toward the Unmatched Emperor. He knew that James must have come here for a reason. Perhaps he was here to court him. As he was already an arch-rival of the Omnipotent Lord, the Second Universe would be in dire straits if he offended the Twelfth Universe as well.

Though he was filled with consternation, he still wore a grim expression as he asked, "Forty-nine, don't tell me you came here all the way just to have a chat with me."

James asked smilingly, "What's your opinion on the consolidation of the twelve universes?"

Longinus laughed and said, "Consolidation is good for everyone. I have no opinion on the matter."

"What about the Lord of the new universe? Who do you think should hold the position?" James asked.

This placed great pressure on Longinus' shoulders. If he had not understood James' opinion, he would have proclaimed himself to be the most suitable candidate for the Lord of the new universe. However, he could not say such a thing.

He said smilingly, "I think the Lord should come from the First or Twelfth Universe. Strength would be the primary factor in this competition."

Then, he glanced at James.

"You should be at the Nine-Power Macrocosm Ancestral God Rank, the same rank as the Omnipotent Lord. Since both of your strengths are similar, the outcome will be determined by the number of Macrocosm Ancestral Gods on your side. If the numbers are about the same, you two may have to fight it out and see who's stronger."

"But…"

He looked at the Unmatched Emperor and said, "With the Unmatched Emperor, your victory is all but certain. The Lord of the new universe will surely come from the Twelfth Universe."

Before the Unmatched Emperor had even spoken, Longinus had already conceded that the Lord should come from the Twelfth Universe. After all, which universe could stand against two Nine-Power Macrocosm Ancestral Gods? Not even the First Universe, perhaps.

He asked, "Forty-nine, do you still remember your promise? Will you make me your deputy if I support you as the Lord of the new universe?"

That was because there were many living beings in the Twelfth Universe. If James became the Lord of the new universe, new rules that benefited the Twelfth Universe would be set.

Seeing that Longinus was already trying to get something out of his support, James smiled faintly. It meant that Longinus was now on his side.
