Even though James showed great strength, Wynton did not see him as a worthy opponent.
Wynton said, “I thought you’d be the one who’d end my winning streak. Unfortunately, I overestimated your capabilities.”
After speaking, his body flashed in front of James.
A powerful aura erupted from his body, causing space and time around him to freeze. Wynton unleashed his power, and formed a radiant long sword with it. The sword’s blade pierced James’ body in the blink of an eye.
Then, Wynton appeared behind James.
James was defenceless against Wynton’s attacks. He could not defend himself in time and simply watched as the long sword ran through his body.
His mind went blank as he floated in the sky.
After a while, he lowered his gaze and looked at his body.
His flesh was carved away, and his bones lay exposed. He could feel his life draining away, and he was slowly losing consciousness.
‘Did I really lose? Am I going to die?’
James was not willing to accept the outcome. He quickly urged his strength, contained his life force, and stopped his soul from weakening further.
Using his potent Chaos Power, he managed to temporarily postpone his death.
Although he survived, he was exhausted.
Wynton was a terrifying opponent and had devastating strength.
James was heavily weakened after being pierced by Wynton’s sword. He activated the Life Path, and vigorous life force flowed through his whole body, quickly repairing the wounds he sustained.
James turned around and looked at Wynton, who was holding the Moonlit Sword. He gritted his teeth and said solemnly, “The battle isn’t over until I’m dead.”
“Ha!” Wynton sneered and said, “You’re extremely persistent. I’m impressed you could withstand my attack. However, how much more can you endure?”
Wynton raised the Moonlit Sword and pointed it at James.
A Sword Energy formed from it and shot toward James.
James quickly raised the Death-Celestial Sword to parry the attack. His strength was slightly inferior to Wynton’s. Now that he was injured, he could no longer use his full strength.
James failed to deflect Wynton’s Sword Energy and was forced backwards. After being pushed away a certain distance, James suddenly disappeared. He reappeared behind Wynton and slashed him with the Death-Celestial Sword.
Unfortunately, Wynton could easily predict James’ every move. He swung his sword behind him and blocked James’ strike.

The Death-Celestial Sword and Moonlit Sword scraped against each other.
Frightening Sword Intent emerged from the Moonlit Sword and attacked James. James was blasted away and spat out another mouthful of blood.
Wynton did not want to waste any more time on this meaningless battle. He thrust the Moonlit Sword forward, aiming it at James.
James was still being pushed back by the force when the Moonlit Sword rushed toward him. He squinted his eyes and urged all his strength to block the incoming attack.
However, the sword was unbound by time and space.
Creating a seal in the surrounding space or freezing time could do nothing to stop it.
James had nowhere to escape and could not prevent the Moonlit Sword from impaling him.
