‘This is impossible…” Wyot was staring at the coffin with an icy gaze.
He seethed silently ‘Not only does the thing inside that coffin know how to wield the Nine Voices of Chaos, but it can also use the Blithe Omniscience… Is it really James Caden in there?’.
“Carson, attack the coffin now!” Wyot called aloud.
“Huh… What?! Did he just call my name?” Carson was taken aback.
He wondered why his father would order him to attack the coffin. Wyot himself was unable to counter its attacks, so where would that leave Carson?
Despite the many questions he had, Carson dared not disobey his father’s orders. He focused his powers, lifted his sword, and rushed toward the copper coffin. Carson teleported in front of the coffin the next instant. Then, he swung his sword at the coffin with all his might.
James merely stayed still as he watched Carson close in on him. Although Carson’s mother was not from the Human Race, James still considered Carson his own flesh and blood.
There was a loud clang as Carson’s sword hit the lid. Unfortunately, he was not strong enough to cause any damage to the coffin.
‘I hoped that perhaps Carson could miraculously break this coffin and release me. Without this coffin stifling my powers, I’ll be able to unleash more of my powers as well.’ James thought.
Wyot grew more certain that James was the one inside the coffin when it remained dormant during Carson’s attack.
“You son of a bitch! You survived even after having sacrificed yourself that way?! In that case, I’ll end you myself for good today!”
Then, Wyot shouted angrily at Carson, “You! Get out of there now!”
Carson was extremely confused by the change in orders. Still, he hurriedly teleported back to the side of the battlefield where the Dooms were.
Wyot lifted his sword, and the weapon began to shine with a blinding, white light. Then, he blasted the Second and Third Tones of Chaos’ Nine Voices in the coffin’s direction consecutively.
A horrifyingly loud sound reverberated through the Chaotic Void around them as Wyot generated the two waves of Sonic Sword Energy. Even skilled cultivators from a great distance could detect the scale and magnitude of Wyot’s attacks. Most of them were both shocked and amazed by the wieldefs abilities.
In response, the shadow-like figure also unleashed the Second and Third Tones of Chaos’ Nine Voices one after the other. As the third attack from both sides crashed into each other, the immense aftershock struck the dark figure and dispelled it. James coughed up blood as soon as the figure was destroyed.
That immense energy also flung Wyot backward. By the time he had steadied himself, Wyot was pale- faced and in a disheveled state.
