He took out a book with a clean and dark red cover. It was the Blood Mantra that Thea had given him. As he carefully flipped to the first page of the book, James could see lines of strange and mysterious inscriptions on that page. Just then, those inscriptions appeared to move and float in the air. Soon enough, words in a foreign script began to form before James’ eyes.
James was the only person who could see those words since he was holding the book. If someone were to walk in on James now, they would only see that James’ eyes were glowing with an eerie, blood-red light at that moment.
Even though it was his first time reading words in that unique script, James managed to understand it nonetheless.
Soon, James finished reading the Blood Mantra. After he had stored the book in a secure place, James took a deep breath. “Thea’s father, the Ancestral Blood Master, has definitely lived up to his reputation as one of the most prominent figures back in the Sky Burial Age. He’s managed to create such fascinating text.”
The scripture contained in the Blood Mantra detailed the cultivation methods that could allow one to train and improve their bloodline power. Cultivators might be able to achieve the ultimate, most
powerful form of blood energy by referring to the book.
However, the person would have to have vast knowledge and great insight to understand the contents of the Blood Mantra fully. Even James knew it would be difficult for him to completely master it. Moreover, he had that problematic seal on his body at the moment.
Nevertheless, James was glad since he had found a way to remove the seal from his body in the Blood Mantra.
Although it would be a rather time-consuming process.
According to the book, James had to consistently absorb the energies of heaven and earth into his body. Once he had accumulated enough bloodline power, James would be able to overcome the restrictions cast over him.

A brief moment later, James left his room to start looking for herbs in the nearby area. As he was visiting the different spiritual mountains in the area, James finally came across a herb garden. In the garden, James could see various rare and precious, high-quality herbs like Macrocosm Ancestral God herbs and even Acme herbs.
James could feel his heart racing upon seeing the sight before him.
“What are you doing?”
Just then, James heard a voice coming from behind him. He glanced over his shoulder and saw that Saachi had stopped next to him. He smiled broadly at her. “I was just taking a stroll, and I happened to find this herb garden.”
Saachi cast a glance in his direction. “Don’t even think about it. The herbs in this garden are the very last of their kind. Most of the areas in this universe are in ruins, and it’ll take a long time to return to its original state. Our enemies might find us and launch an attack at anytime. I need these herbs to make elixirs or pills in case of emergencies.”
James was not paying much attention to Saachi’s words. Instead, he was thinking about how he could get his hands on the herbs.
“Ms. Saachi, won’t you hear me out just once?” James grinned. “How about you give me just one Acme Herb?”
