There were soft murmurs among the crowd as soon as James entered the main hall. A lady in a pink dress standing just a few steps away from Lothar silently directed her gaze at James as well.
“Sir Lothar, I’ve brought James Caden here.” Wael bowed to Lothar slightly.
“Thanks.” Lothar nodded. “Since everyone is already here, I’ll briefly explain the rules of the battle.”
James and the young lady in pink turned their attention toward Lothar.
“Contenders are allowed to use any signature skills, weapons, and tactics during the battle. Still, both parties must exercise respect and demonstrate good sportsmanship at all times.
“If any one of the contenders admits defeat during the match, the other person has to stop their attack immediately. Those who do not adhere to the rules will be severely punished.
“Alright. Let’s head to the arena now.”
When James and the group of cultivators had made it to the arena, they could see that many students had shown up at the venue as well.
