Tobias fell into thought for a while. Then, he looked at Maxine and ordered, “Maxine, follow and protect him for a while.”

“Do you mean to raise him as the heir?”
Tobias said, “We’ll see how far he can go. Follow him, protect him, and update me on his whereabouts. Also, look out for any opportunities where you might get to discover some secrets about him.”
Maxine nodded. “Understood!”
“You’re dismissed.”
Maxine turned around and left.

James waited for a while.
Soon, Maxine came out and called for him, “James.”
James asked, “What did he tell you?”
