Chapter 179: Another Proposal

The siblings had nothing to say after their introductions. They stared silently at each other.

Feng Wu was willing to call him big brother, so he wanted the conversation to keep going. Maybe he should think of something to talk about? But after some thought, he couldn’t come up with a topic. His sisters had always been the ones to find him if they wanted to talk. He never had to initiate a conversation before. This was his first time and he was dumbfounded.

“Xiao Wu, chat with your big brother. Since you haven’t seen each other in so long, you should have lots to say.” Tian Yue said from the side, a determined expression on her face.

He really deserved to be her big brother. Both of them had the same deadpan expression and neither of them spoke much.

“Talk about what?” Feng Wu turned to Tian Yue with big round eyes.

Tian Yue sighed silently. She felt a headache coming on. “You can talk to your big brother about the things that happened at school and if you have any questions you want to ask him, just ask him now.”

Feng Wu understood. She nodded and turned back to the figure in the communication crystal. In a serious voice she said, “I want to help Xiao Ye find a father. But why won’t he accept? Little Bun is adorable and fun.”

There was a tinge of grievance in her voice. She didn’t understand why Ming Xi refused her proposal. She had asked him again before they returned to school, but he wouldn’t agree.

The scene was thus:

A young girl quietly stood beside a bustling street. A beautiful girl, a beautiful boy, in a fantastic gorgeous scene. Beside these two beauties were several other beauties all dressed in various styles. Combined, their beauty meter was off the charts, so they attracted a lot of attention from passersby. Jier waved bye to the rest of the Masters team [notes], Ming Xi and the others.

Feng Wu was staring intently at Ming Xi the entire time.

After ten minutes of this Ming Xi couldn’t take it anymore. He coughed and said. “Xiao Wu, was there something you wanted to say me?”

“Did you catch a cold?”

Everyone stilled with anticipation the moment she asked her question. They looked on with interest. How would he react?

“No, it’s just that my throat is a little dry. I just need to drink some water,” Ming Xi explained.

“I have water.” She pulled out a bottle of water from her space ring. Her eyes were bright as she handed it to him. The expectant expression on her face was like a cute puppy waiting for praise from her owner.

Was it his imagination? He couldn’t tell that bright, expectant face that he didn’t actually want any water, so he accepted, intending to take a small sip.

She stared at him attentively. It was obvious she wanted him to drink more.

Refusing made him feel like a criminal. Under such an earnest stare he had no choice but to chug down the entire bottle. He was about to say thank you for the water, when another bottle appeared. His mouth twitched. If he hadn’t known how honest she was after all the time they’d spent together, he would have thought she was purposefully being mean.

This was the same Ming Xi who always maintained a benign smile. That he would show such an expression to a girl, it was great! Elena and the others looked gleefully at the scene.

Girl, that you can make this happen, you are not ordinary! We have to keep an eye on you!

Feng Wu’s face glowed with expectation. Those big bright eyes, too cute, too cute to deny!

Will she cry if I reject it? Ming Xi wondered.

Ming Xi took the bottle and drank it down. He was full to bursting with water now. When Feng Wu took out another bottle. Ming Xi risked her crying and refused death by water.

The others wondered if she was planning on going to the desert. Why did she have so much water?

“Xiao Wu, was there something you wanted to say to me?” Ming Xi didn’t want to talk about water anymore so he changed the subject.

Feng Wu put the bottles away, but it wasn’t because she picked up on his cue, it was just that she was being obedient. She stared at him for a full minute before saying, “Please marry me.”

He had not expected that. It wasn’t just Ming Xi, Elena and the others hadn’t expected it either. They thought Feng Wu had forgotten about the proposal. To think, she still refused to give up. josei

Everyone there had a heart. They could tell her eyes, when looking at Ming Xi, weren’t the eyes of someone looking at a lover. Her eyes had no love in them. They were pure and innocent.

It was hard to understand. They could see she didn’t love Ming Xi.
