The Peak of Alchemy & Martial

Chapter 33

Chapter 33

C33 – Expel the Contract

“Father?” As Yun Haoyan entered the Yun residence, he was taken aback to see his father appear unexpectedly.

A wave of warmth surged through Yun Haoyan’s heart. His father’s presence here could only mean one thing: he was aware of the conflict with the Bian family.

He must have come, fearing his son would be at a disadvantage.

Yun Hai, catching sight of Yun Haoyan, was somewhat taken aback himself. He had just been informed by the clan that Yun Haoyan had clashed with the eldest son of the Bian family.

Concerned that Yun Haoyan might be outmatched, he had made haste to arrive. Yet, to his surprise, the skirmish had already concluded.

“Are you alright?” Yun Hai inquired, giving Yun Haoyan a once-over.

Yun Haoyan offered a bow and replied with deference:

“Father, I appreciate your concern. But rest assured, I was not harmed by them.”

“Have you advanced to level five Martial Warrior?”

Yun Hai, sensing the subtle aura emanating from Yun Haoyan, couldn’t hide his astonishment.

Yun Haoyan nodded, affirming:

“Yes, Father. And I owe it to the Spirit Stones you provided. Without them, my breakthrough wouldn’t have come so swiftly.”

“Excellent!” Yun Hai burst into hearty laughter.

Nothing delighted him more than witnessing his son’s progress.

He was well aware that the two hundred low-grade Spirit Stones were of little assistance to Yun Haoyan. It was undoubtedly Yun Haoyan’s innate talent and diligent cultivation that spurred such rapid advancement.

“Come, let’s retire to my study for a proper discussion,” Yun Hai said, still chuckling as he led the way to his study.

Yun Haoyan was increasingly becoming a source of pride for him. It was as though a light had been switched on, and he had undergone a profound transformation.

He had grown into someone confident and responsible, capable of facing any challenge with a level head.

Inside Yun Hai’s study.

“Yun Haoyan, you’ve run out of Spirit Stones, haven’t you? Take these for your cultivation.”

With that, Yun Hai extended a black bag, which appeared to contain another two hundred Spirit Stones.

“Father, I’m not in need of Spirit Stones at the moment!” Yun Haoyan assured him.

He was conscious of the family’s current hardships. The entire clan was struggling financially, and it couldn’t have been easy for his father to offer these Spirit Stones.

Moreover, he had no need for Spirit Stones whatsoever. He had annihilated the entire Qiu family, stripping them of all their Spirit Stones and resources. To him, these Spirit Stones were trivial.

If he could have explained the origin of his Spirit Stones, he would’ve gladly used them to support his household expenses.

Yun Hai furrowed his brow and said,

“Haoyan, you’re currently short on Spirit Stones. You could use these to purchase some pills, which would accelerate your cultivation.”

Yun Haoyan shook his head and replied,

“Father, there’s no need for me to buy Spirit Stones. My master is an Alchemist who can supply all the pills necessary for my cultivation.”

Yun Hai was overjoyed to hear this. He was about to add more when a clamor erupted from outside.

“Patriarch, we have a serious problem—the Bian family has dissolved our contract.”

A white-haired elder rushed in, his voice filled with urgency.

Yun Haoyan recognized the elder, a respected member of the Yun family and a Martial Master of the eighth level.

He was a cornerstone of the family, known for his unwavering dedication.

“What happened?” inquired Yun Hai.

The elder glanced at Yun Haoyan, then back at Yun Hai, clearly torn.

“Out with it!” Yun Haoyan urged, sensing that the dissolution of the contract with the Bian family was somehow his doing.

But he was unfazed. His actions were justifiable, and with a clear conscience, he had nothing to fear.
