Chapter 343

Clara genuinely believed that she was the only one entitled to criticize others and that no one had the right to criticize her. She considered herself to be perfect from every possible angle.

When Samantha accused her of being ignorant, Clara became furious. She fixed her gaze on Samantha and retorted, “You’re still unaware of who the ignorant one between us is. You’re simply jealous that I have a villa in Jewel Road. What do you have that can possibly compare to mine?

“I have a much better life than you!” Clara boastfully declared.

Clara’s only aim was to demean Samantha and make her feel inferior. She could not tolerate the idea that Samantha was doing better than her. To her, Samantha would always be beneath her.

Samantha could not be bothered to argue with her and said, “You know yourself best. There’s no need to come here and flaunt your villa because you don’t deserve it.”

“What? I don’t deserve it? Clara sneered. “You’re clearly envious that I live in Jewel Road. So, why are you here again,

Samantha?

“I’m going home!” Samantha replied.

“Hahaha! You’re going home?” Clara laughed until she doubled over. “That’s hilarious. Where could you possibly go when you can’t even afford to rent a house?”

Clara’s relentless mocking fueled Samantha’s anger to the point where she was tempted to give Clara a hard smack across the face.

Joanna stepped in and held Samantha back, saying, “It’s okay, Sam. When a dog bites you, do you really need to bite back?”

Joanna had remained silent throughout the exchange, but Clara’s attention was drawn to her as soon as she spoke.

“Joanna? What are you doing here? When did you get back?” Clara asked, surprised to see the woman.

Although Clara leew Joanna, she had been too preoccupled with mocking Samantha to notice her presence.

Joanna had co-founded Bailar with Samantha but suddenly left the country at one point. It was an incident that Clara was familiar with.

Clara never expected Joanna to return.

“When did I get back? Do I have to report to you?” Joanna said as she gritted her teeth. “Clara, I’ve heard everything that happened with Bailar. The Cowells really are generous!”

Clara’s response was equally cynical. “Of course,” she said, “I already told you that Samantha was incompetent. Look at what she’s done to your company in just two years-bankrupted it to the ground.

“Why do you continue to associate with someone like her?” Clara asked, her tone dripping with disdain.

Clara was unaware of the sarcastic tone in joanna’s words and mistakenly believed that Joanna was on hver side.

Joanna was quick to dismiss Clara as she let out a scoff.” Please do us a favor and accumulate some good karma. I don’t have time for this. Sam, let’s go.”

With that, Joanna took Samantha’s hand and the two strode toward the villa. Adrian, who was carrying Juno in his armas, trailed behind them. They headed straight into their luxurious abole.

As Adrian and Samantha stepped into One Jewel Road, Clara was struck with shock, her entire body trembling with disbelief.

“What…whal..”

Clara’s jaw dropped in disbelief as she watched the group walk into the villa. She rubbed her eyes, struggling to believe what she was seeing Samantha had really moved into One Jewel Road.

“What’s going on?” Clara muttered, feeling extremely taken aback.

Although her best friends had told her about Samantha moving into One Jewel Road, Clara had dismissed it as a lie and thought they had mistaken someone else for Samantha. She never expected Samantha to actually own the best villa in all of Jewel Road.
