“Sam has done a lot for Adrian, Reiss Any other woman would’ve remarried a long time ago after Adrian disappears. Instead, Sain walted for him for seven whole years. There aren’t many women as wonderful as her left in the world.”

Reiss replied, “They’ve both been arrested by War Legate Draco and thrown into prison. The De Forrest family is officially disbanded and I’m without a family now.
“Tell me, Chubbs. Should I hate him or thank him?”

Reiss then shook her head. “All right, that’s enough of that. Let’s clean up your house and go out for some drinks.”
