The pair arrived at Nine Kings half an hour later.
A sea of people was already there. Many companies had their proposals in hand, waiting to participate in the bidding process.
“Sit here. I doubt our turn will come anytime soon. I’ll go get you a cup of water.” Adrian pulled Samantha toward a chair, and the latter nodded.
She still found it a little uncomfortable how caring Adrian was toward her.

“I may not have much, but I’m rather confident in my connections with the underworld.
