Adrian smiled at her. “The problem doesn’t lie in buying the house but in me. I can’t sleep because every time things grow quiet, my mind fills with scenes of the battlefield and my comrades covered in blood.

Adrian had not expected Samantha to be so perceptive. She was capable of seeing to the core of the matter. He had no idea how to answer her.
Samantha was right. She had hit the nail right on the brad.

Adrian did not answer and simply hugged her tighter.
But suddenly, Samantha said, “Before you go though, please put a baby in me.”
