As the cost of studying design was relatively high, Hazel initially didn’t agree with Cindy’s decision at first.

After that, Hazel had never once blamed Cindy for choosing a major that she had personally deemed useless because Cindy responded confidently back then that she would definitely become an excellent designer.

She was determined not to let her money and energy go to waste, but reality had slapped her in the face in the end.

Now, she was working as an assistant, which practically rendered her major useless.

There were times when Cindy would find it difficult to fall asleep at night as she thought about the promises she made in the past. As a result, she would feel frustrated with herself.

On the other hand, Ian wasn’t surprised with her answer as he nodded. “You’ve studied that major for many years, so it’s true that you shouldn’t give up. However, at what point do you think you won’t need to worry about money?”

After she blinked, she suddenly laughed.

There seemed to be a hint of hope in her joyful smile. “At what point? I think that period would be after Mr. Frye helps me to earn a lot of money and manages to double my profit.” Upon saying that, she cradled her face and giggled like a maniac. “I feel that I’m close to reaching my goal.”

With a smirk on his face, Ian asked, “You really trust him that much?”

“Of course I do.” Cindy suddenly adopted a slightly serious tone. “If I stick with him, I may become rich

in the future. Didn’t you read the articles about him? Many people who invested with him ended up stinking rich. I didn’t have this kind of opportunity back then, so you don’t know how happy I was when I received this chance.”

Then, he casually asked, “Then, after that? Are you going to resign from your job after becoming rich?”

“I need to see how much I’m earning first,” she joked. “If it’s a lot, I’m definitely quitting my job. Judging by the looks of it, I don’t think it’ll be that much since I didn’t invest a lot of money. It looks like I still have to work for you for the time being.”

After listening to Cindy, Ian grunted. “It seems like I’m your contingency plan.”

She immediately laughed out loud because she felt that the words he used were too comical.

Meanwhile, Aurora and Naomi emerged from the beverage store with ice creams in their hands.

Aurora had two in her hands as she handed them to Ian and Cindy. “There are many girls inside. Looks like this is what young people like these days.”

Cindy looked at Aurora and asked, “You didn’t buy one for yourself?”

“I still prefer this.” Aurora shook the beverage in her hand.

However, Cindy didn’t accept the ice cream because her menstruation was around the corner. If she ate the ice cream, she would be uncomfortable for the next two days.

That was the reason why she addressed Aurora, “You can have it. I shouldn’t be having ice cream for the next two days.”

Aurora was surprised at first, but she quickly understood the implicit meaning. “Then, you should drink more warm water from now on. It’s really difficult for a woman during this period.”

Without much thought, Cindy replied, “I know, right? My stomach hurts every time.”

At the same time, Ian turned to take a bite of his ice cream. Why do they have to talk about this in front of me? Don’t they know that I’m a man? Or, do they not really care at all?

The three women seemed to have found a common topic as they began to talk about what to eat to relieve the pain during their menstruation.

When they finally felt bored, Cindy and Naomi boarded a cab back to their hotel.
