Chapter 1817 The Fight

Ian answered everything that Yulia asked in a serious manner but nothing more. As he answered the phone call in front of Cindy the entire time, Cindy didn't feel too uncomfortable with it. After Yulia had asked almost everything that could be asked, she then responded, “If you have the time, bring your mother here. We haven't finished talking about things last time and there are still some things I want to tell you later.”

The last time they talked was about business, so this meeting should be about business too. Hence, Ian agreed. Since Cindy knew that they were going to discuss resources, she naturally couldn't stop them. After waiting for him to hang up the call, she pursed her lips, her expression a little unhappy.

When he saw it, he raised his hand to pinch her cheeks. “Why do you have this expression? What's wrong?”

Cindy huffed. “She's still calling your number. It’s so annoying.”

Ian knew that Cindy was jealous and the two had bickered over Yulia before too. So, he smiled and took Cindy into his arms. “You heard everything I told her and you also heard what she told me too. There is no problem, right? We are just talking about resources and even if we are meeting up, I will also bring my mother there. Don't worry; my mother will be there with me. Are you still not at ease?”

Cindy was indeed at ease. Even without Aurora there, Cindy did not doubt Ian's character. However, she still felt uncomfortable that someone was interested in Ian. Thus, she thought for a while and answered, “Can I go with you too?”

Ian smiled but did not refuse. “Sure, after all, you’re one of us.”

This made her feel a lot better. She didn't insist on tagging along because she didn't really want to see Yulia.

Then, Ian and Cindy went out of the room, only to see Aurora seated on the couch and playing games again. She was treating her wound earlier, so her hair was tied up and she forgot to put it down. Hence, the wound was clearly exposed. As soon as he went out, he saw the Band-Aid behind Aurora's ear and suddenly frowned. The Band-Aid did not cover the wound completely, so both ends of the wound could still be seen.

Ian strode over and raised his hand to lift Aurora's hair. “What's the matter? Why are you injured?”

Aurora was focused on playing her game, so she was taken aback by Ian's action. “My God, stay away from me! I was almost killed by that monster.”

His expression was still quite serious. “What's going on here?”

After all, this location of the wound was not one where Aurora could unconsciously hurt herself. He bent down slightly and stared behind her ear, noticing that the exposed wound looked like a deep scratch.

Cindy didn't speak as she stood aside, not knowing what to say. She knew that this matter could not be hidden, but she didn't expect Ian to discover it so quickly. So, she sighed and went to sit next to him.

Then, Aurora quickly covered the wound and requested, “Don't talk to me first. Wait for me to finish this

game.”

As Ian was not in a hurry, he merely waited. Since she was an amateur player, she lost after a few minutes and he began to ask again, “Did someone do this to you?”

She laughed, but she didn't deny it and instead said, “You didn't see her condition. She was hurt more than me.”

Ian finally understood the situation. “Is it Leah?”

Hearing that, Aurora was a little surprised. “You guessed it so quickly.”

Next, he took a closer look at her wound. “She looked a little off today. I thought she must have been beaten up.”

Cindy was also quite surprised when she heard those words. Today, at the Morgan Residence, she thought that Ian hadn't even looked at Leah, so it was amazing that he was still able to remember the details about Leah.

He checked the wound behind Aurora's ear again afterward. The wound was not deep, but it was quite long, which made it a rather shocking sight.
