Right then, Ian reached out to catch her before he staggered backward, and the two of them fell toward the couch.
At this moment, Cindy pushed Ian onto the couch before she sat on him and choked him. “Why do you go around biting people like that? Are you a dog?”

Although Ian’s face turned red, he showed no signs of backing off as he raised his head a little so that Cindy could continue choking him.
“Well, you do have to kill me before you get to go after other men.”

Although she was still constraining Ian by sitting on him, she stopped putting force on her hand. “Is it bad that I go after someone else? You’re still able to return to Yulia if that happens.”
Cindy remarked after that, “If you get together with Yulia, you’ll enjoy a nice life as she will be able to
give you a lot of resources and help you build your career. Besides, she can also put you in shoots to be on the cover of high-end magazines to increase your popularity.”
Knowing that Cindy was still bothered by Yulia, he chuckled. “Why would I want her? Do I even need her?”
Ian’s tone wasn’t nice when he mentioned Yulia. “I can still work toward my goal without her. You can only see the good of being together with her, but you can’t see how much of a hassle it’s going to be if I get together with her.”
Refusing to back off as well, Cindy harrumphed. “That’s what you say, but who knows what you’re thinking?”
Upon hearing that, Ian pushed himself against her. “Don’t you know what I’m thinking about?”

Immediately, Ian laughed. “You did suck me dry.”
As the two of them went at it forcefully previously, Ian probably wouldn’t be able to handle it now, even if his body was made of steel.

The two stopped after bantering for a while. As it was already late, Cindy went to wash up while Ian stayed on the couch and scrolled his phone.
A while later, a call ringtone rang out. Right then, Ian realized that Cindy’s phone was ringing as the ringtone didn’t come from his phone, so he headed toward the bedroom and saw Cindy’s phone on the bed.
He took the phone over to notice that it was a call from Gary.
After hesitating for a while, Ian picked up the call and greeted, “Hello, Mr. Frye.”
At the same time, Gary was surprised because he didn’t expect Ian to pick up the call, so he paused for a few seconds before he greeted as well, “Hey, Mr. Morgan.”
Ian hummed in acknowledgment. “Do you need anything, Mr. Frye?”
Gary chuckled. “Well, it’s nothing important. I just wanted to ask Ms. Selby how her interview went.”
Ian answered casually, “She’s doing alright, so you don’t have to worry.”
Ian believed that Gary knew Cindy’s job search. When he accompanied Cindy to get interviewed, he could tell that the girl who interviewed Cindy wasn’t enthusiastic about hiring her at all.
However, Cindy told him the girl’s attitude took a drastic change the next day, and she offered to hire Cindy after a while.
Back then, Ian couldn’t comprehend what had happened. However, the only thing that he could recall was Gary mentioning that he knew the owner of Paramount Group during their meal together.
As Gary was really nice toward Cindy, Ian figured that it could be possible for him to help Cindy out secretly.
Despite that, it seemed like Gary didn’t want to take the credit for it, so Ian didn’t go into details about Cindy’s job, and the two of them exchanged pleasantries after that.
