Chapter 33 Let’s Talk
Jayvion didn’t expose Valerie’s lie.
He applied medicine to her gently.
Then he quickly brought breakfast to her.
After all, when he had brought dinner to her last night, she had been sleeping.
She must feel hungry now without food.
As expected, after Jayvion gave Valerie food, she began to gobble it down.

Somehow, Calvin couldn’t stop thinking about Valerie’s scary gaze.
“Grandpa, I just found a child. Her gaze was weird.”
Galen turned his head to show Calvin that he heard it, but Galen didn’t
answer.
“Her gaze told me she experienced death.”
Galen’s hand holding the report paused, and his eyes were filled with doubt.
“You are not kidding?”
“Grandpa, I wouldn’t joke about this.”
Even if Galen thought Calvin was still not a good man, Calvin was the best fighter in his team.
Calvin sounded convincing.
Galen thought for a moment before becoming calm again.
“So what if she has experienced death at such a young age? Maybe it is fate. She is still alive, which means she has pulled through. It doesn’t matter that we know she almost died.”
Galen gave Calvin an impatient look before reading the report again.
Calvin felt wronged, his arms akimbo.
Galen let him take some time off but still reprimanded him.
If his brother hadn’t gone on a business trip abroad, Calvin wouldn’t have been doing this in the hospital.

Valerie, who was taken away by Jayvion, got her blood drawn and slept in the car.
Last night’s nightmare made her gloomy and tired.
Jayvion didn’t say anything and just drove, taking her home.
When she arrived home, she was sleepy, and Bruce walked to her in the living room. It was rare for him to do that.
“Let’s talk.”
“What?”
Bruce saw the dark shadows under her eyes and softened his tone.
“You can eat lunch first. We will talk after that.”
With that, he put his hands into his pockets and walked to his room.
Valerie stood where she was.
