The Rewritten Love: A Second Beginning by Max Charming Chapter 1136

Blake whispered, “Whether you decide to leave or not, I just hope you’ll be well. Madelyn responded, “Thank you.”

Blake thought, ‘When that happens, I might really have to find Mya. It’s better than waiting for my death in the company!’

The bridesmaids blocked the door, and they received checks through the door gap. Zach did not prepare any white envelope with gift money inside. So, he wrote a few checks.

On such a big day, he was very generous. Each check was written with amounts nearly reaching six figures.

Although Blake loved money, for some reason, she could not even force a smile this time. Dalton hid in Madelyn’s wedding gown, occasionally peeking out. Madelyn lowered her head to look at him through her veil.

With a few baby teeth, he laughed happily, drooling. She wiped away the drool with a tissue. She found Dalton’s eyes resembled hers when she was a kid.

If it were not for the fact that she could not conceive or for Zach bringing Dalton back from outside of the orphanage, Madelyn might suspect that Dalton was indeed her child.

Zach walked in from the outside amid the cheering of the crowd. Madelyn stared at the black leather shoes in front of her. For some reason, she, who was always composed, became very nervous. Then, Zach slowly lifted the white veil, looking at the woman he had worked so hard for many years to marry. He was stunned by her appearance.

He found her extremely gorgeous. Her beauty stirred his heart. Zach lifted her chin and kissed her red lips. “Very beautiful,” he complimented.

Madelyn blushed and looked away without speaking.

It was Zach’s wedding, so everyone behaved well. Zach helped Madelyn put on her shoes. He then carried her in his arms from the bed. At that moment, Dalton suddenly stood up. He supported himself with Madelyn’s shoulder and kissed her on the face.

“Mama… P-Pretty.” His words were unclear. He then said ‘Ah’ before bursting into laughter. Normally, if Dalton did this, Zach would get jealous. But now, Zach just ignored him and eagerly carried Madelyn downstairs.

The driver opened the car door to the back passenger seat. Madelyn sat in the car and took one last look at Southern Haven Villas.

She had lived here for nearly twenty years. Hayson, Zach, and Jadie had all given her many memories.

Zach held Madelyn’s hand with his cold one, “We’ll come back again.

“After the wedding, rest in the room and wait for me to come back.”

Madelyn did not respond. The car drove for a long time, not heading toward the road to Supreme World but taking a route she had never been on before.

Suddenly, Madelyn said something out of the blue, “Zach, did you forget something?”

Zach replied, “What did I forget?”

Madelyn said, “You never proposed to me.”

Zach entwined his fingers with hers and kissed her hand, “I’ll do it in the future.”

Madelyn perceived his response as superficial, ‘We’re not getting married in the usual way; there’s no proposal. Some things, once missed, can’t be redone.

Zach asked, “Is this why you’ve been unhappy?”
