The Rewritten Love: A Second Beginning by Max Charming Chapter 1186

Blake had a rare peaceful slumber. She was curled up in the bed. When she stretched, she felt the spot

next to her on the bed was cold. Blake was suddenly reminded of something and immediately opened

her eyes. She saw that Kevin was missing and had swiftly woken up. She ran out to the living room

without putting on her slippers and saw Kevin in the kitchen.

Blake let out a sigh of relief. When she saw him in his pajamas pouring water from a jug, she quickly

walked over. She took over the jug and helped him pour a cup of water.

“Here you go,” Blake gestured.

Kevin took over the cup of water from Blake and saw her bare feet. He chided her, “Take care of your

appearance; go and put on some shoes,”

Blake had just woken up, and her hair was a mess. She scratched her head and muttered, “I was just

worried you had run away.”

After that, she followed Kevin out of the kitchen. She nagged him, “Your wounds are going to take a

few days to heal. There’s no more bandage and gauze at home so why don’t you come buy some with

me later? You can also get some sunlight since you shouldn’t keep staying indoors.”

Kevin had always been disciplined and never expected that he would be nagged by a naive young lady

one day.

Kevin said thoughtfully, “The wallet is on the bedrest. If you want to buy anything, you can buy it with

my money. I still need to handle some things.”

“No, you have to come with me. If you don’t, I’ll stop cooking and starve you,” Blake said.

Kevin stared at her with his eyebrows raised. He looked more relaxed than ever. In the end, Kevin had

no choice and was dragged out the door by Blake. Before they left, Blake took a scarf and put it around

Kevin. She said to him, ” Lower your head. You’re too tall.”

Kevin did not budge, so Blake had to tiptoe to wrap the scarf around him. In the end, she tied a dead

knot around his neck, which made Kevin shake. She threatened him, “If any weird news were to pop up novelbin

again, I’ll use a rope and strangle you to death.”

Kevin did not bother to remember what she said. He turned around and left, not before reminding

Blake, “Don’t forget to bring the wallet.”

Blake glanced at her bag and saw that she had forgotten to bring the wallet. She hurriedly rushed into

the bedroom to grab it. Then, she chased after Kevin. Blake held onto his arm as they walked together

to the supermarket near the residential area.

However, this scene was captured by a man hiding in the dark wearing a cap. Cecilia, who was far

away, received these pictures via fax machine.

She was seated in Zach’s seat. The CEO’s name on the table was also changed to Cecilia’s name.

Cecilia took out her phone and replied to a message: [Is there any progress with the matter I told you to

investigate?]

After a minute, a message was sent back: [Blake Dion’s background is somewhat unique. Her parents

are both researchers at a research institute. Their files are kept strictly confidential. It’ll be challenging

to get them, so we’ll need to wait for an opportunity.]

Cecilia furrowed her brows in frustration and proceeded to call the person. When the phone call

connected, she slammed the table and shouted, “I’m giving you two days. If you can’t find anything out

about Blake’s personal information, you’ll be fired.”

“But, Ms. Samford, I’ve already tried my best to use my connections. Please be patient and wait a little.

I’ll do my best to find that information for you,” the other person replied.

Cecilia replied, “What use are you to me if you can’t even do this simple task?”

The person at the other end of the call quickly softened their tone and pleaded, “The files of this

research institute aren’t something that can be easily accessed. Please give me some more time, Ms.

Samford.”
