Chapter 2893 Punishment for Navey

Moving one of his hands, Minos indicated to Navey's figure, before bringing his aura down on the level 123 man, forcing him to kneel as the surrounding people moved away.

"Elder Navey, I heard about the things you did while you were in Oqia..." Minos began, speaking in a tone that evoked chills in those most worried about where this might end.

Navey had prepared himself for Minos' return, or even for the day when Minos'

relatives would be able to resolve the matter themselves, if they so wished. But in the face of Minos' power, he could do nothing but remain silent and put up with whatever punishment would be meted out.

He hadn't wanted any trouble with Minos when he had decided to act against the Stuart family earlier. He hadn't expected Minos to grow up so quickly and had believed that this would be his only chance of gaining some bargaining power with this fellow.

Now, however, he realized that he had been entirely wrong, and it had all been a big mistake for him.

But Minos took this matter in a slightly different direction than Navey had expected, "Acting against my family was a mistake and for that, you should serve a sentence of punishment for your arrogance. But what really makes me want to deal with this today is not that."

Clenching his fists and remembering how he had lived with the worry of having an Elder keeping an eye on him, Minos asked, "Speak up, Elder Navey, were you planning to act against me and steal my Absolute grade absorbable weapon?"

Minos spoke of this for the first time with several of these guild members, but even so, almost no one was surprised by his words.

Juma, in particular, closed his eyes and understood better why Minos had grown so fast and was so confident of entering the Upper Realm.

'He's actually achieved something like this... The First Elder thought to himself, aware that an Absolute grade absorbable weapon was the key to the Upper Realm, the first step anyone would have to take in search of immortality.

A Celestial would be just an ordinary 13th stage cultivator without one of these absorbable weapons. Those who had one or more of them, on the other hand, were True Celestials immediately when they reached the 13th stage, each with the right to challenge the path to the Higher Realm.

If Minos eventually finished Devdar's inheritance as the winner, he would be able to enter the Upper Realm immediately. That would be one of the prizes for inheriting something from a holder of one of the thrones in the Upper Realm. But for others who didn't participate in inheritances like that, the path first required one of the keys, an Absolute grade absorbable weapon, followed by the challenge of entering the Upper Realm.

Juma knew this and immediately took Minos' questioning in the appropriate direction. 'It seems Navey realized this before the rest of us... Juma considered, while the members of the group had mixed thoughts. Some couldn't help but wonder what Minos' words meant to Navey. Others could only look at Minos and think more positively about his and the group's future.

Having Absolute grade absorbable weapons with him, Minos could compete to enter the Upper Realm when he became a Celestial and in contention, they fully trusted that he would succeed!

Navey looked at Minos while ignoring the people and the marginal considerations of the Supreme Leader's words. He realized that Minos wanted to deal with this problem right there, which made him feel immediately at a loss as to how to escape.

"I was just..." He hesitated as he spoke, with Minos leaving him free enough to move his mouth and vocal cords.

"You were just waiting for the right moment to "harvest' what you wanted?" Minos asked with a sarcastic smile on his lips. "Were you waiting to nurture the weapon so that you could absorb it and immediately become a Celestial?"

Minos had learned in his experience that absorbable weapons could grow along with their users. This was especially true when one added other weapons to their existence, something that naturally strengthened all the components of the body. Because of this, letting one stay with a given absorbable weapon for a while made sense from the point of view of strengthening it.

Navey paled as he listened to Minos, feeling as if this boy could read his mind. These were, in fact, his plans at the time, something he had started shortly after Minos discovered the black liquid on The Obsidian Shore.

His plans were to wait until Minos became a Supreme, and then he would act. Unfortunately for him, Minos achieved this feat in Uzira and by the time Navey discovered such a thing, his target was already too strong to be defeated.

Minos remained silent as everyone looked at Navey accusingly, seeing that he could not deny what had been said.

Minos closed his eyes, letting silver flames cover one of his hands. He said to end the matter, "You really did plan to knock me down and kill me to get my absorbable weapons, but you didn't manage to do anything. Because you didn't do anything to harm me, I won't kill you. But for planning against me and daring to use my family, you will pay with your freedom!"

Silver flames covered Navey's body, not hurting him, but quickly penetrating his existence, reaching his soul.

Minos used a combination of his dragon flames and the Divine Seal, marking the alien's soul in such a way that, from now on, he would only be able to serve the orders of those with the Stuart family lineage.

Minos gave his command, "From now on, you must absolutely respect the hierarchy of the Stuart family. You may no longer do anything without first considering how it will affect the family and sacrificing yourself for the family if necessary."

The group watched as Navey lost his free will to Minos, with some of the Elders there, Navey's former supporters, breaking into a cold sweat as they thought they were next. Minos had no intention of doing a clean sweep, however. After dealing with Navey, he merely gave some difficult duties to those Elders who had stood against his family, but without going so far as to take away their freedom.

He then gave some orders about how his family members should divide themselves in the running of the guild and how the Elders should deal with matters involving his

people.

He didn't want his family members to have privileges in everything. But he did want some guarantees, some exclusive positions for his family members and individuals capable of intervening and mediating in situations involving his family members. Today these measures wouldn't be so necessary, but in a few generations, with his grandchildren's grandchildren, these measures might be necessary.

So he dealt with what he thought was essential for the continuity of his group, before turning his attention to the more current and less administrative matters of the guild at the moment.
