Chapter 251: Chu Feng’s Tears

Dawn. Mount Sanqing, enshrouded in white mist, was soon penetrated by the red rays of the morning sun. The scene was like that of an immortal realm.

A three-eyed man walked out of a certain temple and stood on its roof. He took a deep breath and said, "What a good place! As expected of a Taoist Heavenly Grotto!"

Several ancient pine trees could be seen on the verdant, moist with dew like a young coiling dragon. Raging waterfalls hung from the cliffs like descending silver dragons and the jade-like lake below appeared as if it was concealing a true dragon.

The morning rays showered down upon the misty mountain top and flooded the whole temple with a golden glow. It appeared seemingly divine.

Since his arrival at Mount Sanqing, he had occupied the Hollow Jade Peak after killing the two king-level entities there.

"Our target is Mount Longhu, but this place is acceptable for a temporary residence." The three-eyed man laughed. His body was straight and his hair was flowing behind him. His handsome countenance was full of confidence as he said his farewells, "Although you’ve recovered, it’s best to be careful these days. Some people might covet this heavenly grotto."

"I’ll beat up anyone who dares come here. Even ghosts and deities will have to run away crying!" Hei Teng replied and pointed towards the mountainous land below. "The moment I put down my Dragon Locking Pillar, I’ll kill anyone who comes, be it the Hollow Jade Temple Master or the Wudang Grandmaster!"

The three-eyed man shook his head. "The Dragon Locking Pillar is a dead item. What can you do if others don’t walk in? Furthermore, this is the continent and not the ocean. You’ll have to observe the ley line trajectories before placing it."

"It doesn’t matter. The four sea generals are working on it as we speak. Dry land is not that different from the ocean floor!" Hei Teng replied.

The three-eyed man smiled. "Hei Teng, you’re really too prideful. Contact us immediately if you run into trouble, don’t just lick your wounds in secret."

The three-eyed expert thus left the mountain.

Folded spaces appeared in several places after the great upheaval with large areas of mountains and forests appearing out of nowhere. This caused the distance between certain areas to increase by more than tenfold.

The distance between Hongdu and Mount Sanqing was now over three thousand kilometers, a great deal more distant than in the past.

But this meager distance was nothing for Chu Feng. His speed had already reached five and a half times the speed of sound.

After severing the heart shackle, his whole body was flooded with majestic energy and boiling blood. His stamina had increased by leaps and bounds, allowing him to maintain his top speed for almost half an hour.

This meant he was able to reach Mount Sanqing in less than an hour, covering a distance of over 3000 kilometers.

This was definitely a shocking speed. He was even much faster than a plane.

A man of flesh and blood was able to run 3000 kilometers in one hour, truly a terrifying pace.

Even the immortals and deities from the legends were barely faster than this.

To swim in the Eastern Sea at dawn and rest at Mount Kunlun by dusk, that was something the ancient powers were capable of. Chu Feng felt that it might be possible if he raised his speed just a tad more. He could run all the way across the continent.

"Chu Feng, you have to be careful!" Yellow Ox called him urgently and told him that the Manchurian Tiger heard from the marine race that the Southern Sea tribe had delivered a superior killing weapon to Hei Teng and that it was extremely terrifying.

This news was circulated within a small circle that dawn. The marine races arrogantly announced that any human peerless expert who failed to observe the situation would be killed without a doubt!

"What sort of situation is this? Is the marine race so confident in being able to suppress any peerless human expert?!"

"Oh, it’s been said that there are numerous inheritances on the ocean floor, even remnant dragon dens. If the marine race were to excavate such a legendary weapon, they would be able to suppress the human experts with six severed shackles."

"It might actually be true since they had even excavated a flying saucer before."

The spreading news caused quite a commotion. All parties were holding urgent meetings to think of countermeasures.

All the continental powers were sent into a panic just because of a few words from the marine race. This would greatly facilitate the marine race’s subsequent business.

Chu Feng fearlessly rushed on and arrived at Mount Sanqing. It wasn’t as if he had no magical weapon of his own. That violet lightning hammer was quite a good weapon in and of itself but he also had the diamond chakram as a killer weapon.

If he shot out a fully loaded diamond chakram with his current power, it was sure to cause some serious damage!

The rising sun resplendently rained down golden beams of light which swiftly dispersed the mist hanging upon the hills and provided a comfortable warmth to all those who were basking in its glow.

Chu Feng arrived at that moment and had taken little over half an hour to reach Mount Sanqing. This news, if spread, would surely cause quite a shock.

To be precise, Chu Feng was still tens of kilometers away from Mount Sanqing, but he slowed down his steps and walked through the mountainous woods, breathing in the fresh air and bathing in the morning radiance while circulating his breathing technique.

After running for such a long distance, his boiling hot body required some time to rest and adjust. He eventually relaxed his whole body.

It was also under such a condition that his divine instincts were exceptionally sharp. It encompassed the whole mountain and extended into the distance whereupon he sensed a king level fluctuation ten odd kilometers away.

There was a king in this area!

Chu Feng approached in large strides. He searched the area whilst circulating his breathing technique and regulating his body.

He stood on a certain peak and saw four people within the mountains. They were measuring an area of the mountain as if they were testing for something.

"Marine race?!" Chu Feng’s eyes glowed with spirit.

The decorations on these four people were quite special. They wore seashells and corals, accompanied by their characteristic oceanic fishy smell. Chu Feng’s sense of smell was truly too sharp; he could even make out their smell from such a distance.

He knew that Hei Teng was recuperating on Mount Sanqing and now after finding people from the marine race here, he didn’t need to question anyone to know for certain that they were associated with the black flood dragon.

The four of them were tall and sturdy with wide mouths and large fangs. They were the picture of fierceness and were apparently not people to be trifled with.

"What are these four marine race members up to?" Chu Feng had rushed over since daybreak and hadn’t had breakfast. He was wondering if he should stew some seafood.

Following which, the four people each carried over a bronze pillar which was taller than a person. There were numerous patterns drawn upon the surface and appeared rather mysterious. The four of them placed the pillars at four corners of the area which formed a perimeter around the hilly region.

"What are they trying to do?" Chu Feng looked on suspiciously.

"Alright, this should do for the time being. It’s too bad that this Chu Feng has likely already died. If he truly does come here, we’ll definitely kill him off and get revenge for the Black Dragon Crown Prince."

"The Black Dragon Crown Prince was truly unfortunate to meet such a human when he was severely wounded, resulting in both sides suffering. He would’ve killed this human with four severed shackles in a single slap were he at his peak."

They were discussing how unfair it was for Hei Teng.

Chu Feng stared at the hilly region. These four pillars appeared to be the so-called weapon to be used against the peerless human experts?

He had been observing for quite some time but hadn’t discovered anything out of the ordinary. There should be no problem as long as he didn’t step into the area.

Chu Feng stopped tarrying and decided to move ahead, passing through the mountainous woods and arriving near the four marine race experts.

He scanned them and were surprised to find that they were all experts with five severed shackles. This terrifying lineup could definitely suppress a whole region!

In truth, these four sea generals under Hei Teng’s second brother were all ferocious and violent warriors.

The four of them were discussing about Chu Feng and believed that the latter had most likely died from the grievous wounds since there had been no news of him in quite a while.

"Truly unfortunate. How I hope he still lives!" One of them sighed.

Chu Feng broke into a surprised smile—could it be that these marine race experts actually admired him so?

But the following words caused his face to turn dark.

"Indeed, I hope the heavens protect him so that he can appear here and allow me to kill him in a single slap!"

These people were hoping Chu Feng survived only so that they could deal with him. In fact, they wanted to beat up Chu Feng badly in public sight in order to intimidate the human race.

"Damn your grandpa!" Chu Feng cursed under his breath. He silently approached, moving through the forest like a specter while basking in the last strands of the glowing morning mist.

"Hey, how come there’s a person there?!" One of them discovered him and revealed an expression of surprise.

"How come he looks so familiar?" Another pointed at Chu Feng, "You... you’re Chu Feng! You’re still alive!"

Swoosh! Swoosh! Swoosh! Swoosh!

The four of them moved at the same time. Although they were arrogantly speaking of how they would slap Chu Feng to death, they all fled after Chu Feng’s unexpected appearance.

Chu Feng noticed that the four of them avoided the perimeter marked by the buried bronze pillars and were drawing him into it.

Although he was fearless against these enemies, he didn’t want to take unnecessary risks. As such, he didn’t take a single step into the area and instead ran around it in pursuit.

The expressions of the four sea generals changed. They had probably realized by now that Chu Feng might’ve discovered the buried bronze pillars.

"We can only fight it out with him! Let’s kill this Demon King Chu!" one of them roared. The remaining three nodded in unison and charged back at Chu Feng.

"You dare fight me with your meager abilities?" Chu Feng revealed a smile.

The four were evidently not Chu Feng’s match despite being experts with five severed shackles.

"What do you think you are?! To the marine race, all your continental life forms and experts can be easily suppressed!"

Boom!

The four arrived and delivered a simultaneous blow.

Chu Feng carefully measured his own strength and displayed the Xingyi Tiger Form, immediately taking on the momentum of a peerless divine tiger. He erupted with baleful energy and killing intent!

He leapt up and lunged towards one of them with an invincible momentum like a prehistoric tiger coming into being. With a thump, his Tiger Form attack connected.

Pfft!

Within a split second, the man’s arm burst into pieces and turned into a bloody mist amidst miserable cries.

Following that, Chu Feng switched to his bear form where brute strength was his forte. He viciously slapped out amidst a burst of earthen yellow lights and directly tore apart the previously amputated person.

"How is this possible?!" The remaining three were shocked at Chu Feng’s performance. The latter was as powerful as those peerless experts with six severed shackles.

According to their knowledge, Chu Feng was supposed to be at the level of four severed shackles, but now it appeared that even the Black Dragon Crown Prince might not be a match even at his peak. Their intelligence was wrong!

"Run!"

The three remaining generals gave up trying to fight. Their scalps went numb as they turned around to flee.

"Do you think you can escape?!" Chu Feng sneered. How could they escape with Chu Feng chasing them down at five and a half times the speed of sound?

Upon the main peak of Mount Sanqing.

Hei Teng had just sent off the three-eyed man and was enjoying the morning sun.

Flood dragons especially enjoyed the warmth and comfort of sunlight. At this time he was feeling extremely comfortable.

His true form was revealed—the hundred meters long body stretched across the summit with almost half the body dangling from a cliff. His entirely black body shone with a sable glow as the sun shone upon him, the faint scales on his body seemingly refined from black gold.

It was an intimidating scene to behold such a long serpent stretching across the mountain. Any normal person might faint from the shock.

Hei Teng was unaware that the enemy was fast approaching. Even if an expert did come, he wasn’t afraid at all. And rightly so because he himself was a marine race expert with six severed shackles. He was completely unafraid of anyone from the continent.

Now that he had already recuperated, he was even more arrogant and placed none of these people in his eyes.

"Hmm? Something’s not right!"

Hei Teng was extremely powerful. He was even able to hear the cries and sense the raging aura of a powerful expert within the distant forest.

Boom!

The black dragon immediately leapt up from Mount Sanqing like a black heavenly dragon and shot through the skies towards the area.

At his level, he was able to jump from one peak to the next at four times the speed of sound as if he was riding on the clouds and mist.

Although he couldn’t compare to Chu Feng’s speed, it was nonetheless an alarming velocity.

Very soon, he had arrived at an area less than ten kilometers from his target and was approaching fast.

"What?!"

Within that single moment, the scales on Hei Teng’s body all opened just like how the human hair would stand on end. He was both shocked and enraged.

He saw the four sea generals dead with their blood staining the mountain woods. They had all reverted to their true forms which were gigantic sharks.

What made him even more furious was that he saw a man standing there. It was actually Chu Feng and it appeared that he was alive and well after executing his four sea generals.

"Chu Feng!" Hei Teng was furious.

Hei Teng coiled his gigantic body into a serpentine hill and looked down upon Chu Feng with incomparably cold eyes, his killing intent surging to the skies.

In the distance, Chu Feng was roasting shark meat in leisure, but soon he began to frown during the process because the fishy smell was too strong.

"You reckless fool!" Hei Teng was absolutely furious at this point after seeing Chu Feng roast his second brother’s subordinates in front of him.

"Scram, stop bothering my breakfast!" Chu Feng didn’t even get up and was in no rush to kill Hei Teng. He simply continued to roast his shark meat.

"You’re looking to die!" Hei Teng erupted with rage. He had been harboring a grudge since the last battle where he was virtually cut in two. His heart was full of resentment and anger—it wasn’t that he couldn’t beat Chu Feng, but because he was wounded at that time.

Now that he had fully recovered, he could barely wait to search for Chu Feng and slowly dismember him.

But Chu Feng’s performance had indeed shaken Hei Teng, and as such, he didn’t rush into battle.

"Cough..." Chu Feng almost choked and teared up.

Hei Teng was puzzled at the scene. What had happened?

Chu Feng couldn’t stand the taste after taking one bite and had to spit it all out amidst dry coughs. The taste was simply too...

The taste had completely turned his stomach upside down. It was sour, bitter and extremely fishy. It even had a hint of urine-like odor.

"Damn your father!" He really wanted to beat someone up. He had never tasted such disgusting king level meat before. It was so unpalatable that it made him curse out loud.

Chu Feng couldn’t stand it anymore and tossed the shark flesh into the fire before fishing out his communicator to check why this meat was so disgusting.

He soon found the information and it turned his face green with exasperation. He was totally regretting it now because, apparently, sharks urinate from the surface of their bodies. As such, the amount of urea in their flesh was exceptionally high and hence the odor.

"Blurgh!"

Chu Feng vomited once again and his face was almost green.

At this moment, he felt quite unwell. He repeatedly coughed and tears were falling down from his face.

"Damn you sister... Oh dammit!" Chu Feng shouted. As a glutton, he had tasted countless king level entities and all of them tasted extremely good. This time, however, he encountered such an incident.

"Hei Teng, damn you! You must’ve found these four sharks intentionally just to harm me?!" Chu Feng roared, ready to fight it out with him.

Hei Teng could make neither heads nor tails of it. He was supposed to be the furious one after having his four helpers killed, but he didn’t even get a chance to vent his anger before seeing that brat act as if he was the victim! Hei Teng could take this no more and rushed out to kill the enemy.

"You, surnamed Chu, prepare to die!"

"Black Snake, you’re the one who should die! You dare harm me like this—I’ll definitely beat you to a pulp!" Chu Feng was truly angry at this point. He wiped off his tears and coughed a few more times before sallying forth for battle.
