The Scum Is A ***

Chapter 384 - The Scum Is Tactful

Chapter 384 - The Scum Is Tactful

"What…?!" they were stunned. "The Heilong Realm…" they muttered under their breath as they stared at Zuo Zhe, eyes wide in shock.

"So, this is it." Fan Wen spoke.

"What do you mean, shifu?" the Xinfaxian Sect disciples asked and looked at Fan Wen in puzzlement.

Xi Ling who also thought of something spoke. "The Heilong Realm was formed because of the abundance of the demonic qi. The creation of a new realm might have…" his voice trailed off and turned to look at Zuo Zhe.

But, Zuo Zhe didn't speak.

"Disturbed the heaven." Fei Lin continued for Xi Ling.

Xi Ling and Fan Wen nodded. Xie Lan didn't speak as he is contemplating. His mind is whirling very fast.

"'disturbed the heaven'…" Jing Cheng, Jing Bai, Jing Hei, Qian Lin and Zheng Yi looked at each other, their gazes talking. Meanwhile, Jing Kang's face is indifferent and his eyes are just on Lei Ling's, who was standing with his fellow disciples, figure.

Jing Rui frowned. Clearly, he dislikes this topic.

Meanwhile, Qian Tian has already recovered his calm. "Then, this Heilong Realm…" he spoke. "Why is Mu Jun ruler it now?" he asked.

Everyone started at his question. Then, they remembered that the Heilong Realm was originally the Wu Ran Kingdom. Wu Ran is its original lord – its king. So, how did it become Mu Jun now?

Zuo Zhe turned to Qian Tian. He knows that Qian Tian's real question isn't 'why' Mu Jun is the one ruling the Heilong Realm, since everyone already knows the answer – Wu Ran reincarnated as Ming Ye and disappeared for five hundred years. The real question is 'how' did Mu Jun become the Heilong emperor.

"This, I also wanted to know." He frowned. He also doesn't know the question. This question didn't even cross his mind, for he was also surprised that Mu Jun – or Hei Shen, became the Heilong emperor.

Everyone isn't stupid and could see that Zuo Zhe was telling the truth. He didn't ask him any further about the topic. They are already satisfied with what they have found out today.

Fei Lin sighed. "No matter who Mu Jun really is, as long as he won't be our enemy, then we…" are safe. He continued in his heart.

They all nodded in tacit understanding. Even if Mu Jun wouldn't be their ally, but as long as he won't be their enemy, then they can only focus in one enemy – Wu Ran.

"What about you?" Xie Lan suddenly spoke.

They all looked at him and saw that he is looking at Zuo Zhe.

"What about me?" Zuo Zhe asked.

"How about your power?" Xie Lan spoke. "You look like an ordinary human, but you are hiding your power. Where did you get that special power?" he asked.

Everyone turned to Zuo Zhe.

Zuo Zhe pursed his lips. "I'm not hiding it…" he muttered.

Xie Lan didn't speak and just crossed his arms, waiting for Zuo Zhe's answer.

"From my own hometown." Zuo Zhe finally answered. His power comes from the system and the system came from his 'hometown'.

"By 'hometown', you mean…" Xi Ling spoke. "… like Yu Sheng's, Bai Shen's and Hei Shen's 'hometown'?" he asked.

"Yes." Zuo Zhe nodded.

They all looked at each other, their gazes talking. It wasn't a lie that they are curious of Zuo Zhe's power. But, they are all tactful people and doesn't want to pry into Zuo Zhe's life. Everyone has their fair share of secrets that they definitely don't want the others to find out. And since Zuo Zhe isn't actually from their world… now that they think about it, there really is a sense of disharmony between Zuo Zhe and this world. From Zuo Zhe's actions, his words, his behavior…

They didn't ask anymore and resumed with their tasks. The disciples went to store their resources including the medicine in somewhere where they can easily access it. Meanwhile, the elders gathered to discuss some tactics on how to kill Wu Ran and his people. So, they didn't notice that after they interrogated Zuo Zhe, whom was left alone, Zuo Zhe fell into a contemplative state.

That's right… hometown. Zuo Zhe thought and blinked as he sipped his drink. The Devourer has devoured all the other worlds aside from the Bailong Kingdom and this world. So, wouldn't that mean that the world that I came from was also devoured? He thought and his pupils shook. Then –

"I can't go home?" he muttered in a low voice. Suddenly, he tried calling to the system. But, the system didn't respond. He didn't hear any sound inside his mind.

It was then that he realized that it has been a long time that he didn't hear anything from the system. What is going on? He thought, feeling bewildered. And also alarmed. His heart thumped loudly as he panicked.

"Xi Tong?" he called.

But, like earlier, there wasn't any voice that answered his call.

"Achoo!" the man, wearing beggar's clothes and a conical hat that was big it covered his face, suddenly sneezed when the wind blew. He sneezed hard and the conical hat on his head was almost knocked off of his head.

"Are you alright?" Cheng Shu, Cheng Sheng's uncle whom everyone has forgotten, turned to the mysterious man and asked.

The mysterious man who Zuo Zhe just called inside his mind, named 'Xi Tong', as well as the main system Jing Xian was talking about before that was helping the Devourer, raised his hand and was about to rub his itchy nose when he suddenly paused. He isn't a human to begin with, so there would definitely no snot on his nose.

So, he lowered his hand, which was wrapped by a bandage along with his body underneath his clothes. "I'm alright." He answered.

Cheng Shu nodded and didn't ask anymore questions. He just lowered his head and ate the noodles he bought for both of them. But, since Xi Tong said he doesn't want to eat, he just shrugged and ate the second bowl of noodles.

Xi Tong watched him eat. "Why did you help them kill those demonic cultivators in the Nanli Town?" he asked.

Cheng Shu finished chewing the food in his mouth before he answered. "I hate dirty people." He answered.

Xi Tong didn't react. The 'dirty' people Cheng Shu is referring here isn't the literal sense. Or else, Cheng Shu wouldn't travel with him – someone disguising as a beggar. The 'dirty' that Cheng Shu meant was the people who are sinners. In this world, they are the demonic cultivators. As well as the people driven by debauchery.

"Those people have plundered – both riches and lives and the innocence of the others." Cheng Shu spoke. "Killing them is my duty. And, wouldn't this help your plan?" he asked as he raised his head and looked at Xi Tong's non-human eyes. "Confusing them." He smiled. The 'them' he is referring to are Xie Lan's group in the Millennium Ship. "Also… my prey is only Cheng Sheng." He added before eh resumed eating.

Xi Tong didn't speak again. He just raised his head to look at the sky where Bai Shen resides. He knows that man… err, god, must be impatient again. "I'm leaving." He told Cheng Shu.

"En." Cheng Shu answered without raising head. He was engrossed with his food. By the time he finished eating and raised his head, he saw that Xi Tong was already gone. "Owner! Give me another bowl!" he yelled.

"Alright!" the server answered as he scooped the noodles along with the broth.

"Aiyo! How many bowls would that be?!" someone asked from the other table as they looked at Cheng Shu who was served with another bowl.

The commotion was loud and the noises were carried by the wind to the sky, passing by the Millennium Ship stealthily floating in the sky, hovering above the Stop By Town.

"Hm?" Lei Lin, who was sitting near the railings, muttered and looked down the ground. "They are so lively?" he asked.

"What is it?" Jing Kang, who just finished packing, asked.

Lei Ling turned and smiled. "Nothing!" he answered and resumed packing the medicines. "Is it time to go?" he asked as he looked around.

"Go!" Xie Lan who heard him ask answered.

"To the Shashan Pass!" Qian Tian spoke.

Lei Ling nodded and then looked at Jing Kang. Together, they formed a hand seal and closed their eyes, concentrating on maneuvering the ship using the Balance, Floating and Moving Talismans. They closed their eyes tight as they recalled the map in their mind, then guided the Millennium Ship as it started to move, facing the South.

Xie Lan, Fan Wen, Fei Lin, Xi Ling, Qian Tian and Jing Rui looked at each other. Their faces serious. Li Tian, Feng Mo, Lei Qing and You Rou held each other's hands. Jing Cheng, Jing Bai, Jing Hei, Qian Lin and Zheng Yi looked tense. After all, they are finally going to face Wu Ran.
