The Strongest Conquest System

Chapter 232: The Monster Ranks

Chapter 232: The Monster Ranks

.....

The Old City Lord was probably the only human in Asterion who knew that RiverBloom was merely meant to serve as an appetizeran appetizer to make the human race of the Azure Blank continent fear the second coming of the Monster Race!

And as soon as the monsters learned that the first step of their fear tactic had failed, they would without a doubt send even stronger forces than Early Unity Form Synthesis Realm Monsters to make the humans feel 'Fear'!

However, for what reasons they were going through all this trouble was something that even the Old City Lord didn't know

"Listen, youngster" Eldric began his retelling of the details.

....

A few minutes passed by

"Is that so?" Azmond began to speak with an amused tone.

"Monsters have their own ranking system, and that 'monster wave' was just the first of many to come," he muttered with an imperceptible smile growing on his face.

"???"

The City Lord became confused over the reaction made by the youngster. Shouldn't he be anxious about the perilous situation he had inadvertently thrown himself into??

Why did he instead seem excited over such a terrible revelation???

On a side note, the Old City Lord had informed Azmond of all the ranks the monsters of this worldat least the semi-intelligent onesfollowed.

It's the ranking system they used to designate just who had the highest authority among themsimilar to how the dragon ranking system functioned.

And the ranking system went like this, from descending to ascending order

1: Minion (Body Refinement Realm)

2: Low-Class Soldier (Qi Condensation Realm)

3: Mid-Class Soldier (Foundation Establishment Realm)

4: High-Class Soldier (Core Formation Realm)

5: Low-Class General (Golden Core Formation Realm)

6: Mid-Class General (Nascent Soul Realm)

7: High-Class General (Soul Transformation Realm)

8: Low-Class King (Void Refining Realm)

9: High-Class King (Unity Form Synthesis Realm)

10: Emperor Class (Tribulation Transcendence Realm)

11: Great Emperor Class (Mahayana Realm)

Azmond had put two and two together and surmised that these 'Nine Monster Emperor's' of the 'Nightmare Council' likely saw themselves as 'Emperor Class' monsters.

However, the ranks were extremely generalized, and there could be massive differences between two monsters in the 'Emperor Class'. Considering that you would still be an 'Emperor Class' monster if you had reached the Half-Step Mahayana Realm.

An Emperor Class monster at the absolute top of the rank could very well take out millions of newly advanced Emperor Classes!

Now, what did this mean for Azmond?

It meant that he could 'luck out' and get stuck with a few newly advanced Emperor Class monsters being the top figures of the 'Nightmare Council'.

Not that he could take on even the weakest Tribulation Transcendence Realm monster right now. But it would sure as hell help him close the gap!

Now, why was he so adamant about finding and ultimately taking this 'Nightmare Council' out by its roots?

Well, that's because the Old City Lord had told him that the 'monster waves' to come would not end with a 'meager' ten million monsters.

Eldric said there were tens of billions of monsters of varying ranksall at the beck and call of the Nine Monster Emperors and their high-ranking generals!

Think about all the people who could be in imminent danger! Think about all the innocent organisms that would be squished out of existence when put up against such a mighty force!

Think about the tens of billions of Fucking Experience Bags!!!

Err He meant to say, 'Think about all the innocent bunnies!' or whatever!

(...)

...

"So, do you still plan to head out, even after I told you of your almost guaranteed death if you do go through with this suicide mission?" The City Lord inquired with an expectant expression.

He knew it was wrong of him, but deep down, he was hoping that Azmond would still decide to storm the Nightmare Council.

After all, that was the only way Eldric could save his Ariana

What the basilisk and the High Ranking Monster Queen had told him weren't lies. There truly was a miracle drug in the possession of the Monster Queen!

The City Lord had seen it for himself, and he knew with just a glance that it was the real deal!

There was no question about that.

But Eldric now had no way of getting that miracle drug from the hands of that particular Monster Queen, considering that he had burned all his bridges with her...

There was, of course, the option of taking it by force; however, even he, who was at the Half-Step Unity Form Synthesis Realm, could not discern a single thing about her cultivation base!

All the City Lord knew was that she was way out of his league in terms of strength.

So, his options were thus narrowed down to letting his Ariana die due to an unknown ailment. Or he could try his luck with this powerful youngstera youngster who was capable of killing two Early Unity Form Synthesis Realm Monsters.

And which one did Eldric ultimately decide to work towards? Well, wasn't it obvious? He would latch onto the young man's legs, even if it killed him!

"Hmm Do I plan on heading out, you ask?"

Azmond's smirk widened to a disproportionate degree for the first time in what felt like forever.

"!!" A shiver went down the City Lord's spine.

"Well, of course I plan to go," Azmond ended with a toothy grin.

"I-Is that so?" Eldric asked with an uncomfortable expression.

Although he was a little taken aback by the 'unique attitude' the youngster had toward their current 'predicament', he wasn't one to lose his composure so easily.

After all, the City Lord had already been alive for nearly four thousand years!

"Yes, that is so. But I have something to take care of, first," Azmond responded as his gaze traveled to the koala-like beauty latched to his chest.

He didn't know how much longer she could stay 'pent up' before she exploded in the middle of a battle!

That was not a day Azmond looked forward to experiencing in the slightest
