Chapter 196: Loulan Star Field Development.
Inside the Og Empire Palace, Augustus looked at Aska with a terrified expression on his face.
“Did you just say that apart from the Affiliated Civilizations, all of the other Civilizations in the entire Loulan Star Field have been cleansed by the Human Federation?”
Augustus was slightly trembling as he spoke. The news was terrifying.
“Yes, Your Majesty. According to the official information released by the Human Federation, 3,007 Civilizations have been cleaned up this time. Currently, only the 48 Affiliated Civilizations of the Human Federation are left in the entire Loulan Star Field!”
“Too ruthless, simply too ruthless!”
Augustus wasn’t able to recover from his shock for a while.
Level 1 and Level 2 Civilizations had not realized the cruelty of the universe yet. This thing would be taken for granted and was not worth getting surprised for.
“Your Majesty, there’s more!”
“What, there’s more? What more terrible things did the Human Federation do?”
When Augustus heard Aska’s words, his heart almost jumped out of his chest.
“Your Majesty, after the Human Federation cleaned the entire Loulan Star Field, they obtained more than 5,000 Star Systems. Except for around the 1,800 that they took for themselves, the rest are open to all Affiliated Civilizations, which can be exchanged with points! The Affiliate System has also been updated, and there’s now the exclusive Star System Exchange Interface of Loulan Star Field!”
“Huh? Points for Star Systems?”
Augustus was shocked once more.
“Quick, open the System and show me!”
“Yes, Your Majesty!”
With Aska’s operation, the exclusive page for the exchange of the Star Systems was soon projected in the room.
It showed the Star Map of the entire Loulan Star Field. From the map, except for the shadow covering the middle area, the other areas were all available!
Among the available areas were 48 green dots. These green dots were where the 48 Affiliated Civilizations of the Human Federation were located.
Enlarging a green dot, Augustus took a closer look and found that the territory of this Civilization had now covered 2 Star Systems.
Obviously, this Civilization had already started to exchange Star Systems.
Seeing this, Augustus immediately looked at the area where the Og Empire was located and began to check the Star Systems around him. Soon he found that the exchange price of each Star System was different, making him have some doubts.
“Your Majesty, the Human Federation has divided all of the Star Systems into ten grades, based on the amount of Life Planets, Resource Planets, etc., in the Star System. The higher the grade of the Star System, the higher the price!”
With this, Augustus’ confusion was cleared.
If he remembered correctly, the Og Empire should still have 3 million points. Thinking of this, Augustus immediately clicked on a nearby Star System.
[Grade 2 Star System: 1 Life Planet, three modifiable Planets, 11 Resource Planets.]
[Exchange Price: 2 million points]
After reading the introduction, Augustus looked at the other two Star Systems: one was a Grade 1 Star System that had a price of 1 million points, the other was a Grade 4 Star System that had a price of 8 million points.
The three Star Systems add up to a total of 11 million points, while Augustus had around 3 million.
“Aska, let’s take the Grade 1 and 2’s near us. We can then use the mined resources to exchange for more points, and further expand our territory!”
Augustus said to Aska, after thinking for a while.
After all, the Og Empire had exchanged for numerous warships and equipment, such as Energy Shields and Warp Engines before. They had enough transportation power to transport personnel and equipment to these newly exchanged Star Systems in a short period of time for large-scale development!
As long as the resources were properly developed, part of it could be used for the development of the Empire, while the other part could be used for buying more Star Systems. Basically, it would be like compound interest and they would be able to rapidly expand their territory.
“Yes, Your Majesty, I’ll go do it now!”
Just as the Og Empire decided to start their snowball development plan, the other 47 Affiliated Civilizations also had the same idea. This caused a big rush. On the first day, the various Affiliated Civilizations had already exchanged a total of 149 Star Systems.
Interestingly, the technology that the Civilizations had kept in the past and was not uploaded to the System was now being used.
Wave after wave, different kinds of technologies have been uploaded to the Affiliate System, making the Human Federation’s Verification Team busy.
After buying the Star Systems, the Affiliated Civilizations immediately proceeded with their development plans. Everyone had more or less exchanged for the warships from the Human Federation or Warp Engines, so they could easily send people and equipment to the Star Systems.
With the enthusiasm of the 48 Affiliated Civilizations, the development of the Loulan Star Field was in full swing.
- ×?×?×?
In the blink of an eye, five years had passed.
In the area near the starless void, the space suddenly shrank and a fleet appeared out of thin air.
“What’s the matter, why did you stop warping?”
Babaweiler immediately asked the captain, after he came to the bridge.
“Lord Babaweiler, I also don’t know what’s happening. The entire fleet just suddenly exited the warping state together, and could not re-enter. However, it is already being investigated!”
“Huh?”
Babaweiler was confused.
It doesn’t look like their Warp Engines had malfunctioned. After all, how could more than a thousand warships break down at the same time?
Could it be that there’s something wrong with the space here, making it impossible to warp?
The more he thought about it, the more likely it was. He decided to test whether it was what he thought.
“Turn the course and try to warp in the opposite direction!”
“Yes, Lord Babaweiler!”
Soon after the fleet made a turn, a short-range warp was initiated, which succeeded without incident.
But when they turned back to their original course again and warped in the direction of the starless void, they failed again. After the warships warped to the edge of the starless void, they were immediately forced to exit the warping state.
This made Babaweiler convinced of his guess and that there might be some kind of abnormality in the starless void, making it impossible to warp through!
“Captain, go along the edge of the starless void. Try to find a few more points to see if this problem also arises in other areas. Is this a problem in the entire starless void?”
“Yes, Lord Babaweiler!”
