The Supreme Level Up System

Chapter 263 Cooperation

Chapter 263 Cooperation

The next few floors, nothing major happened, but Aion was starting to suffer some scratches here and there. In any case, he ignored those and focused his resting time on developing a new technique… it was the best use of his free time.

Aion was focusing his stamina on his right arm while holding his stamina and trying to increase his arms strength before throwing it. Actually, Aion already had a skill similar to that, and it was Power Shot. However, he could only use it when he was using the sniper class, and he never tried to learn by himself…

"More training between battles?" Sauros asked. "You sure are diligent."

"What do you want? Don't beat around the bush," Aion said.

"Just talking a bit to pass the time since the tension between the group had been difficult lately, and it isn't the right type of tension," Sauros said. "After this mission, I think that we won't travel around the world that often, so I don't want this journey to end on a bad note."

"Are you going to retire before turning thirty? Your tribe is that lax, or are you that lazy?" Aion asked.

"No, I am going to keep traveling, but only once or twice a year, with trips that won't last more than two or three weeks," Sauros said. "I am settling down as well, and my wife wants some kids."

"That is certainly something that I didn't want to hear in detail," Aion shrugged. "It seems that you are surrounded by people that don't follow the norm when it comes to your work."

"Well, things can't stay the same forever," Sauros said. "Besides, I guess things were fine like this. Someone that was more stuck to the rules probably wouldn't have become allies with you, even for a while."

"Someone that sticks to the rules also wouldn't have been caught by slave traders," Aion said.

"You got that right," Sauros laughed.

"The breeze of the sea has to keep working, and I thought that Seris would eventually develop a more outgoing personality, but that didn't happen," Sauros said. "She stays most of the time in her cabin working, and she isn't suited to be a captain."

"I never said that I wanted to take your place," Seris said.

"I guess I will look for someone to do my job now and then," Sauros shrugged. "I hope that the next five years will be peaceful enough for us."

That topic wasn't something that Aion was interested in, so he decided to stay quiet about it. He wanted to travel the world with his mother, but he had learned enough by watching Sauros.

Aion wondered if, by that time, he would have found a wife… it felt like Artemisia would rather watch Aion getting a child than travel the world. Maybe he had to change his plans a bit.

In any case, Aion was having a hard time controlling his stamina while moving. The effects of the strengthening were there, but he couldn't see the point of the technique if he couldn't charge it while walking. Power Shot could work while he wasn't moving since he could use it to snipe the enemies, but not the technique that he wanted now…

Aion changed to the sniper class and used Power Shot a few times to get a good feeling of the technique, and he understood the trick behind it. The energy from all over his body was moving toward his arms and some mana as well…

"I don't want to use mana, but I guess it is that hard to make stamina alone enhance an attack that doesn't belong to the system…" Aion thought.

That was another thing that Aion had to improve… in any case, it was hard to be certain without seeing the actual numbers or the description of the skill, but Aion felt that his strength increased by one point for every point of stamina he used. The rate didn't seem bad or good… considering his strength, Aion would need to at least double his attack power to kill the targets in a moment, but he could only charge it for thirty seconds while walking… It will take time before he can master it. Unless he stops to train for several hours.

When the group reached the fifteenth floor, Aion raised his guard since, once again, he had the feeling that the power of the enemies would increase, and his intuition didn't fail him. A monster showed up… and since the creature wasn't wearing a cloak, Aion could see it completely… It was a magma golem.

The temperature in the room began to increase just with the presence of the monster alone. While the beast was slow, it could burn the floor with each step in a matter of seconds. Eventually, the enemy pointed its hands at the group, and that forced Seris and Sauros to wake up and point their weapons at the creature.

The beast fired Magma Bullets, and the electric bullets hit those, making them cancel each other… actually, the magma bullets began to win the exchange since they had some weight aside from power.

They kept firing attacks at each other until Aion ran out of patience since neither side was winning. Sauros and Seris had the numerical advantage, but the monster apparently had more mana.

In any case, Aion charged and then used Sonic Throw on the monster's head, and the creature moved its arms to block them. Aion's spear pierced them, but it didn't reach the head…

Sauros and Seris used that chance to attack the monster, but electricity didn't work that much on enemies that were half made of earth.

The heat coming from the enemy's body made Aion sweat, but that didn't prevent him from charging at the enemy. In the next moment, Aion grabbed his weapon, and then the object began to freeze alongside the monster's arms.

When Aion pulled the spear, the arms of the golem began to fall apart…
