Chapter 359 Temporal Trick
Chapter 359 Temporal Trick
After moving around like that for an hour, Aion noticed that he was getting more experience all of a sudden… the ice tornado also was starting to get more red.
"I guess I am getting closer… even if this can be seen for hundreds of meters, the pulling force is the same as that distance," Aion thought. "Even small fries shouldn't be able to…"
Aion suddenly felt a shiver, and at first, he assumed that it was due to the cold. However, he raised his guard, and then an earthquake suddenly made the ice tornado lose its balance. After not so long, a tsunami almost engulfed Aion and his spell… he quickly flew to escape the waters, and once he did it, he canceled the spell and grabbed his weapon.
A massive shadow approached from the distance. Eventually, Aion saw the Sahuagin jumping from the ocean and trying to stab him. It was amazing that they could jump and almost fly in the air at two hundred kilometers per hour with that impulse alone.
"Not bad… but not nearly enough," Aion said and then fired several earth spears that pierced through the monsters.
The massive wave of monsters was wiped out before they could even try to attack. The shadow was still far from over, though. More and more monsters came out from the water to attack him. While that was a waste of time, it was an accessible experience for Aion, and he didn't refuse any of it.
All of a sudden, Aion saw a massive pillar of energy emerging from the ocean and then crossing the sky, and then Aion readied his guard again… it was time to stop fooling around.
Still, the massive pillar of energy disappeared, and then Aion only saw an enormous hole in the ocean that was quickly filled.
"Was that time magic?" Aion thought. "A lot of water was suddenly moved, and… something of that size had to be akin to the capital of the Zaera kingdom."
The monsters kept coming, though. It seemed that their master decided to abandon them… Aion was confused. What the hell was the goal of the woman with all that?
"It seemed that she wanted to measure your abilities and decided to retreat once she learned enough to know that she couldn't defeat you as she is now," Arc said.
"I guess that makes sense, but…" Aion said while he still kept attacking the monsters, "I wonder where she went…"
Aion had enough time and monsters to kill to make the Necromancer class reach another high level. Still, he couldn't bring himself to feel that excited about it. The enemies were finally starting to play the game seriously… and Aion could see himself getting outmatched after considering some scenarios.

Once he was done with the hunt, Aion went to check the place where the pillar of light emerged, and he found an exact spot of the ocean perfectly wide and even… almost as if a large chunk of the area had been perfectly cut off from the ground. If that wasn't a sign that a large-scale time magic spell had been used, Aion didn't know what it was.
"I need to know which period of time this is…" Aion furrowed his eyebrows. "If it is too far in the past, I wonder why she didn't start her domination plan to flood the entire world…"
Aion returned to the continent and the coast of the Zaera kingdom, but he didn't find any signs of ports. Did he really go that far in the past? After flying toward the capital, Aion only saw small villages that looked really primitive… they were all basically made of straw, and the people were only wearing pieces of fur that belonged to animals to hide their parts.
At first, Aion thought that he had missed the capital, but as it turned out, he didn't miss it… there was nothing there in the area that it was supposed to be.
"To think that seeing the world this far in the past would be possible… how intriguing," Arc said.
Aion also went to check the Milleris kingdom, but he only found a large desert and no signs of people there. He even went to the country beyond the desert, and he only found small tribes as well… he was way beyond three thousand years in the past.
"This is kind of cool, but I am getting ahead of myself…" Aion scratched the back of his head. "I need to return home and then prepare for the future… it seems that I won't have much peace in the following months."
"I have an idea… to test the theory that all of your actions are something that is supposed to happen. Why don't you do something here that will benefit you in the future?" Arc asked.
"... Such as?" Aion asked, visibly interested in the subject.
"Like hiding a treasure or a rune underground," Arc said. "You learned how to make self-sustaining runes from Seris, and you can use that in your favor."
Aion wondered if such a thing would be possible or that convenient. Won't that attract monsters or give the birth of a dungeon or something?
After thinking for a while, Aion decided to summon a skeleton mage. Then he gave it the sword that he had made using his own blood, and then he made it stay in the desert and hunt all kinds of monsters… nonstop.
