Chapter 414 Lesson Learned

?

"I guess I should study the other classes that I mastered as well; the only problem is that I can't guess with one hundred percent accuracy the skills of the classes that I hadn't mastered yet," Aion thought. "Still, there is a way to deal with that."

"Aion, we cleaned things up here; we can look for Philip now," Henri said while pointing to a pile of bodies of Onis.

"I can keep analyzing the classes as we go… all right, lead the way," Aion said.

Henri didn't understand those words, but he could tell that his brother was busy doing something important. He could feel that something inside him changed and made him stronger… he had no idea what it was.

As for Aion, he felt the same way. He also felt a bit troubled… he still felt his body a bit sluggish, and he felt like his spirit was chained by something. That was the feeling that he felt when he woke up, and apparently, it wasn't planning to let him go.

"This must be because I suffered too much damage in that battle agaisnt those assholes, and everyone was forced to burn their souls as energy to defend me and keep me alive," Aion thought. "It was energy way beyond what my body could handle at a time."

It didn't take long for them to find Philip and the survivors of the area… their group was a bit large. They actually had one hundred people with them, but a lot of them lost their limbs in battles agaisnt the Onis. At the same time, Philip didn't look that happy to see Aion.

"I guess he blames me for this… not for everything, but for a good part of it," Aion thought and then began to heal everyone while making them head to his pocket dimension. "Explain the situation to them; we will keep moving. I don't have mana to restore the limbs of everyone, but it should be possible before we reach our next destination."

"... Roger," Henri replied after he blinked several times after he saw Philip's right arm being restored.

It seemed that Aion wouldn't be able to fight with more than just one hundred people on his side. He will have to unseal the mage class as soon as possible and then the necromancer class to make sure to create a massive army while they fight. That was the only option that they had… people would look at him with suspicion since Necromancy wasn't a common thing in that period of time, but he didn't care. Reputation is useless if he can't protect those he cherishes. He can live with the same if that helps him save his mother, Seris, and Arlana.

Aion was pushing himself… thanks to that, they reached the next city where George was hiding at nightfall. Henri told him a bunch of times that he needed time to rest, but Aion knew that he wouldn't be able to rest properly until everyone was safe. Besides, he slept for a month, and he could stay awake for a few weeks.

Still, much to everyone's surprise, or maybe not, they found a city filled with soldiers, guards, and giant monsters. The monsters were giant lizards that towered over the landscape, their massive forms a combination of reptilian grace and imposing strength. Standing upright on two muscular hind legs, they possess a menacing presence that demands attention. These creatures boast scaly, thick skin that varies in color, ranging from earthy browns and greens to fiery oranges and deep blues.

The others were the human soldiers, clad in darkened armor, radiating an unsettling aura that set them apart from the average warriors. Draped in shadowy hues, their armor is meticulously crafted, exuding a foreboding presence. The soldiers' helmets are adorned with intricate designs, often depicting fierce creatures or ominous symbols, adding to their intimidating demeanor.

"It seems that Vangel sent some of the mutated people here…" Aion said.

"What? Already? why?" Aion asked

"Vangel knows that the Heradins are on my side, they also captured the sister of their current leader, so he decided to reinforce this city that is the closest to the port of the kingdom," Aion explained.

Things were going to become serious now. With that many people, it will be impossible to capture the monsters and kill them in his pocket dimension and remain unnoticed. At the same time, they will have to kill people as well, the morale of the group will decrease, and the fights will get harder for numerous reasons.

"Things will get harder here, and I am sure that our actions will reach Vangel… we need to be quick and precise with the fights," Aion declared.

Things could end faster if Aion joined the fight. Still, he had to capture all the enemies in his pocket dimension first to avoid any message leaving the city. That will be risky, but it was their best option.

"Prepare as many traps as possible inside the pocket dimension; the pace will be even higher now," Aion declared.

Aion was only able to analyze a single class, even though he waited inside the pocket dimension… Still, the next time, he will analyze the Necromancer class, and that will make things easier for everyone. The only downside was that he felt that he was inclining too much to magic, and that would make Aion a lot less durable… and he learned his lesson after facing the enemies in the dark dome.
