Chapter 429 Surprising The Enemy
Chapter 429 Surprising The Enemy
?
Meanwhile, the relentless winds whipped around him, whipping at his face and tugging at his clothing. The gusts seemed determined to suffocate him, stealing the very air from his lungs. It became a struggle just to stay on his feet as the howling winds threatened to sweep him away.
"This won't be…" Aion raised his hands toward the enemies and then prepared to use his gravity magic to crush them all, but then a shiver on his spine made him stop. "This feeling again… Damn, you."
Aion changed his mind and then enveloped the cloaked people in ice, making them unable to move. At the same time, he moved them toward his pocket dimension… until a powerful voice began to echo around.
"HHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!"
"Fuck you…" Aion muttered while he felt his head like it was splitting. "Mareia…"
Aion had a hard time returning to his pocket dimension. As soon as he landed, his father talked with him, but he had to heal his ears first since his eardrums were damaged.
"You found them quite fast," Lexus said.
"Them?" Aion furrowed his eyebrows and then clenched his teeth when he saw that his father had taken the hood of the prisoners. They were the wives of his brothers and Lexus' other wives. "They tried to make me kill them… I almost did since I couldn't tell that they were enemies."
"... You avoided that, and that is what counts," Lexus said. "By the way, you helped everyone, but it seems that things were getting worse again."
Aion's eyes widened with astonishment as he saw Mareia's voice cutting through the cacophony of battle. It was as if her words carried a magical essence that resonated deep within the hearts of her allies. A surge of energy coursed through their veins, revitalizing their tired bodies and reigniting the fire of determination within their souls.
With every note that escaped her lips, the spirits of their allies soared. Their attacks grew more powerful, their defenses unyielding. As Mareia's voice continued to echo across the battlefield, Aion's comrades fought with a newfound hardships. They knew that victory was within reach, but…
"I will kill that bitch," Aion said and then bit his lips.
Using the same thing over and over again had been tiring, but eventually, Aion freed everyone. He couldn't imagine that the enemies had other prisoners like that, but he had to be careful.
"Although I said that I was myself when I was being controlled, the memories are hazy at moments," Lexus suddenly said. "I don't recall the conversations between the enemies with precision, but I can tell that their goal is to enrage you. Be careful about that… as weird as it sounds, they will gain something by getting your wrath."
That didn't make much sense, and Aion had no idea why the enemies wanted that.
In the chaotic battlefield, Aion's enemies saw an opportunity to exploit his anger for their own advantage. They recognized that Aion's rage had the potential to disrupt his judgment and impair his decision-making abilities. They aimed to divert his focus from strategic planning and tactics by fueling his anger and provoking him further.
The enemies believed that Aion's anger would lead him to make impulsive and reckless moves. They anticipated that his unchecked fury would cloud his reasoning, making him more susceptible to falling into traps or making ill-advised choices. This presented them with an opportunity to exploit his vulnerabilities, catch him off guard, and gain the upper hand in combat.
Moreover, the enemies knew that Aion's anger could have a demoralizing effect on his allies. They understood that witnessing their leader consumed by rage could undermine their confidence and unity. By provoking Aion and stoking his anger, they aimed to create divisions among his ranks, weaken their resolve, and sow seeds of doubt and distrust.
Furthermore, the enemies recognized that Aion's anger could potentially alienate him from his allies. They believed that his intense fury might cause him to act independently, disregarding the input and advice of those around him. This fragmentation of leadership could be exploited, as it would disrupt the coordination and effectiveness of Aion's forces.
"This explains why they wanted me to kill them…" Aion thought. "Maybe that was how I met my end in the future that Arlana and Vangel know."
Aion couldn't recall a time when he fought such annoying opponents… moreover, the battle was over. In order to avoid Mareia's voice, Aion would have to be quick and deadly, so he took a deep breath before leaving out.
As soon as he returned, Aion looked for the sound of the voice, and he could tell that it was coming from the castle. He teleported a few times to get closer, but soon he was forced to stop since her voice was causing even more damage.
"Fuck… can't be helped," Aion thought and then began to use gravity magic around him.
The gravity formed a shield around Aion, and soon he found himself in a much better situation. Gravity can influence the speed at which sound travels through a medium. Sound waves may move slower in areas with stronger gravity, while in areas with weaker gravity, sound waves may move faster. This can affect the timing and perception of sound.
Gravity can act like a force that bends the path of sound waves. Just as we see the light bending around objects, sound can also be deflected or redirected by the force of gravity. This can cause sounds to be distorted or appear to come from a different direction than expected.
"I bet that she doesn't know this… let's make sure to surprise that bitch even more," Aion thought.
Aion was expecting that she would get tired of using her annoying voice, but there were no signs of that ever happening. So, he just approached the castle more and more with Teleportation. The closer he got, the more annoyed Aion got… Mareia made some modifications to the place as if she owned it. She took advantage of the ones that Aion had started.
