Chapter 439 Time Dilation
Chapter 439 Time Dilation
?
Vangel swung his sword slowly, but even so… The sword sliced through the air, cutting into Aion's left arm with a sickening sound. The pain was immediate and excruciating, shooting through his body like a lightning bolt. Aion's arm hung limply at his side, blood gushing from the deep gash.
But Aion wasn't one to give up easily. With a surge of determination, he quickly retrieved his severed arm and held it firmly against his wounded shoulder. He focused his energy, channeling his mana into the injured limb.
The healing process began, a faint blue glow enveloping the torn flesh. Aion's brow furrowed in concentration as he willed his body to mend itself. Tendons, muscles, and bones started to knit back together, piece by piece.
The pain gradually subsided, replaced by a dull throbbing. Aion flexed his fingers, testing the movement of his reattached arm. It responded, albeit weakly, but it was a sign of progress.
A sense of relief washed over him as he realized his arm was saved from being lost to the depths of the ocean. The experience only fueled his determination to face Vangel and overcome the challenges that lay ahead.
"That is it! Timeless Sword!" Vangel said while smiling. "It isn't that hard to use once you see it in person."
Aion couldn't deny that the enemy copied Malon's skill as well… after seeing Aion moving his whole body following the same principles, he probably understood everything behind it. It was really a problem.
"What about this? Does it bring back memories?" Vangel asked.
Vangel's sword gleamed with an ominous radiance as a vibrant aura enveloped its blade. The air around the weapon crackled with energy, and a combination of red and blue hues danced along its surface, casting an eerie glow.
The red aura pulsated with a fiery intensity, representing the destructive power contained within. It seemed to flicker with malice, as if hungry for chaos and destruction. Its presence alone sent shivers down the spines of those who beheld it, a menacing warning of the imminent danger it posed. It was Lexus' technique… one that Vangel used agaisnt Aion in the tournament.
Contrasting the fiery red, the blue aura emanated a cool and ethereal brilliance. It shimmered with a tranquil yet potent energy, embodying a sense of control and order. It seemed to whisper promises of clarity and focus, hinting at the calculated precision with which Vangel wielded his weapon.
The merging of these two contrasting energies created an unsettling and mesmerizing spectacle. The red and blue hues intermingled and swirled together, creating a mesmerizing dance of light. It was a symbol of Vangel's power, the fusion of chaos and control, a force to be reckoned with.
Aion knew what the enemy would happen, and there wasn't a single thing that he could have done to stop it… combining with Timeless Slash, Vangel attacked Aion. The strike destroyed the iceberg and created a massive hole in the frozen ocean that reached its bottom.
Aion tried to teleport away, but Timeless Slash was practically a sure-kill hit, impossible to dodge. Before he could do that, he was sent downward by the blast of energy… his sword blocked and absorbed some of the mana. However, he still ended up feeling his body being ripped apart, but all the remaining didn't have time to absorb it.
"Not even using Timeless Slash to counter it worked…" Aion thought while clenching his teeth.
As Aion descended into the depths of the ocean, the weight of the water pressed upon him, causing his body to ache and his movements to slow. The force of Vangel's attack intensified the struggle; a single blow reverberated through the water and threatened to shatter Aion's body.
In the midst of this watery battlefield, Aion felt the full impact of Vangel's skill. The water around him churned violently as Vangel's attack sliced through the liquid, creating powerful currents that battered Aion's body. Each collision sent waves of pain coursing through him, testing his endurance and pushing him to his limits.
Amidst the turmoil, Aion's senses heightened, allowing him to perceive the looming threat of Vangel's power. Still, before he could do anything else, he hit the bottom of the ocean…
Aion's body was healing thanks to Inner Release and the constant use of Quick Healing, but even so, that barely could keep up.
