Chapter 263: Instruction From God

“Good morning, sir.”

“Ah... Good morning, Mr. Kimura.”

“Sir, good morning.”

As the Head of the Disciplinary Committee, Kimura Kazuki showed up very early in school. Today was the day of the final examination. Of course, it was just another ordinary day to him as he viewed examinations as a form of revision and learning.

As he stood in front of the school gate, Kimura Kazuki looked like Sakura Kyu High School’s door god. If this were to happen in the past, every student who wanted to enter the gate would look at Kimura Kazuki and hush themselves in fear. When they passed by Kimura Kazuki, a silent territory would be formed.

However, most of the students who saw Kimura Kazuki now would probably just greet him. Those in their freshman year had heard about the fame of Kimura Kazuki, but it was only limited to hearsay. After spending a semester in school, what they knew about Kimura Kazuki would be completely different from their seniors.

From the seniors’ perspective, Kimura Kazuki would be a devilish person, but from the juniors’ perspective, Kimura Kazuki was the symbol of Sakura Kyu High School.

After Kimura Kazuki had led the Kendo Association to rise as the champion of the Jade Dragon Flag Competition, his reputation hit another peak in Sakura Kyu High School. The victory in the competition had caused Kimura Kazuki to gain a huge number of new fans.

Kimura Kazuki’s Fan Club also became a trend among the societies. It was fortunate that Natsui knew the difficulty of managing too many members, hence one would have to pass through a series of strict reviews to join the club.

Looking at the youngsters in their freshman year, Kimura Kazuki relaxed his taut expression. He would nod his head in response to those who greeted him, and of course, he would not show any mercy to those who violated the school’s dress codes.

“Good morning, senpai.”

Having heard the greeting voices from a few students, Kimura Kazuki searched for the source of those voices and saw Harunaka and the others. He nodded slightly and replied, “Good morning.” Then, he said after a pause, “All the best for your exams.”

“Don’t worry! I’m confident that I can do well.” Akino snapped her fingers, clearly full of confidence for the exams.

Harunaka and the other two looked at each other without saying anything.

Kimura Kazuki did not look down on them. He found out from Furuhashi Sakurakyu that Akino had been suppressing herself in concern of the feelings of Harunaka and the other two. In fact, Akino had always been a high achiever. This made Kimura Kazuki speechless. Now that he looked at Harunaka and the other two, they were obviously still kept in the dark.

If the results of Harunaka and the other two are still bad, would she continue to hide her ability in the college entrance exams?

Anyway, Kimura Kazuki could never understand.

In contrast to Akino’s confidence, Harunaka and Fuyuno seemed distressed.

Although Harunaka and Fuyuno had already taken extra classes, the classes’ current stage of learning was focused on the knowledge from junior high, and the knowledge from high school was not involved. Hence, their final examination seemed to be at risk.

As for Natsui, she said confidently, “Don’t worry, senpai. I’ll give you a surprise after the exams.”

Akino and the other two looked at Natsui with suspicion after hearing her words.

Harunaka, in particular, glanced at Natsui doubtfully and said, “Natsui, did you happen to go to the extra classes?” Just as she finished her sentence, she noticed something, and covered her mouth immediately, but she realized that this would seem even more suspicious. In an instant, she froze on the spot.

Fuyuno rolled her eyes at Harunaka after hearing what she said, while Akino stared at Harunaka suspiciously.

On the other hand, Natsui was not aware of the hidden message behind Harunaka’s words. She giggled and said, “Not at all... But I’ve organized a few study groups following senpai’s Sword Believers’ Club. Our society is full of talented people, and many of them are also outstanding in their academics!” The tuition fees of Sakura Kyu High School were rather low, hence many financially difficult families had chosen Sakura Kyu. Most of the students with poor family backgrounds would tend to be hardworking when it came to their studies.

This was because they knew that their families would not be able to support them after they grew up. They would need to take care of themselves and be independent. Hence, the only way was to do well in the college entrance exam. Their goal was to get into an elite school, enter into the society, and find a decent job. This was especially true for the girls who had average appearance. They worked harder than the others, because if their results were not good as well, their future would be worrisome.

Kimura Kazuki’s Fan Club was made up of many outstanding students. Hence, Natsui had been learning humbly from the club members ever since she established the study groups. Since Natsui was the club president, the members were more than happy to help her out. They would tutor her on anything she could not understand.

Kimura Kazuki nodded to her words. “All the best for your exam.”

“Don’t worry, senpai. I’ll be your junior in university, too.” Natsui was confident.

Due to her words, the students who entered the school looked at Natsui in a strange way.

Kimura Kazuki was someone who had stepped half his foot into the University of Tokyo...

As for Natsui, she was not publicly known, but all of them had the same thoughts.

Is the University of Tokyo somewhere anyone can enter?

Realizing the stares of the people around them, Harunaka and the other two started to feel bashful. “Senpai, we’ve got to go! All the best for your exams!” After saying this, they pulled Natsui and left.

The examination began when the clock struck nine in the morning. There were two exams in the morning, and another one in the afternoon.

When Kimura Kazuki had just come to this place, he put in a lot of effort in order to get Sakura Kyu High School’s scholarship. Although he had to handle a lot of affairs recently, and was absent from many classes, he was not behind on his studies.

Hence, the exams in the morning were rather easy for him. After skimming through his answers, he began to rest his eyes until recess time.

When the invigilator saw that Kimura Kazuki was so at ease, he walked over out of curiosity as it was the first time he had invigilated Kimura Kazuki. Having noticed Kimura Kazuki’s gaze, the invigilator smiled, and pointed to his exam papers. “Kimura-kun, may I have a look?” Generally, the teachers in Sakura Kyu High School should all know about Kimura Kazuki, if one did not, it might be hard to be a teacher in the school.

As expected, Kimura Kazuki did not refuse.

The invigilator went through the entire paper in only a few minutes. In the end, he put it down, and gave Kimura Kazuki a thumbs up without saying anything.

Kimura Kazuki, who was on the upper floor, had finished.

On the lower floor, three out of the four sisters of the Furuhashi family were distressed.

This was particularly true for Natsui. She felt that when she was doing the papers in the extra classes, everything came at ease to her knowledge, but the questions turned out to be totally different in the exam. Natsui could only stare blankly at the questions on the exam paper.

The same went to Harunaka and Fuyuno. Their minds went blank as they looked at the papers. The words were all understandable when they stood alone, but they were not when connected.

Fuyuno rubbed her head, and made a decision at that exact moment. From the next semester onward, she would not come to school anymore, but take extra classes to learn from junior high first. This was what Harunaka had decided too. Right now, she was wishing more desperately than anyone to be able to swim in the sea of knowledge.

In the next class, Akino looked at the questions, and took out her all-sided dice that she had made herself. She spinned the dice on the table, and the invigilator looked at her dumbfoundedly.

Akino looked at the dice, and it showed the side with four points.

Akino sighed and mumbled, “Ah, the answer for this question is actually A, but since the dice showed four points, I shall go for D. This is an instruction from God.” As she talked to herself, she happily jotted down the wrong answer on the paper.
