The Tale Of Kitsuna

Chapter 99

Chapter 99

Chapter 99:

“We will start the bidding at 400 gold co-.”

“3 000 gold coins!” I shouted, interrupting him while pressing the betting button.

“3 000 from VIP room 7.”

“3 100,” Grandenzil said from her VIP room.

“4 000,” I said, not waiting for a second to countered while glaring at Grandenzil VIP rooms windows.

“4 000 gold coins from room 7.”

“Fuck!” That was all we heard from Grandenzil.

“4 000 going once...twice... final and last call... Sold for 4 000 gold coins to room 7.” The announcer shouted point towards me.

.....

“Well, guess I got what I wanted for the night,” I said, sitting down again before looking towards Sammy, who was restrained so that she couldn’t do anything. Grinning, I stood up again while walking towards Sammy, who started to glare at me. “Well, I guess there is another thing I want.”

“Fuck you, let me go! Grandenzil would butcher you if she knew you are doing this to me.” Sammy shouted the instant I took the gag out of her mouth.

“Now, now, don’t shout like that. It hurts my ears,” I said, rubbing my ears while gesturing to the frozen walls.

“Like I care!”

“Whatever, I will give you a chance seeing as you brought me here with ease. Tell me about the crimson bandits and why they attacked the church’s carriages that were heading towards Armillian this afternoon.” I said with a mocking grin.

“How did you know that!?” Sammy shouted in surprise.

“Fuck woman, stop shouting. No one will hear you,” I said, punching her in the face.

“Ugh, fucken bitch how did you know they attacked the church and not the viscounts’ son,” Sammy said, still glaring at me through the pain.

“Well, because I fought against them to save the viscount and the church personnel. The weird thing was that their forces were more concentrated over on the church’s side than the viscount side when... my girl and I got there to save them.” I explain having a small blush because of calling Kayda my girl.

“You are blushing in this kind of situation, really! Ugh!” Sammy shouted just to receive another punch in the face from me.

“Yes, I am still embarrassed about being her soul mate, okay. It will take me some time to get used to the idea.” I said, punching her again out of frustration. “Now explain how the crimson bandits work and why where they so advance while still having low levels and uncommon classes.”

“Please stop punching me. It hurts a lot,” Sammy mumbled with tears in her eyes.

“Answer my questions, then I won’t punch you again,” I said, bending down looking down at her.

“The crimson bandits are a group of trained soldiers. We were orphans before they took us in and trained us. Like the leader said, ‘you must always be ready to run away, so make sure you are faster than them.’ That is what we grow up knowing.”

“Aah, I see, but you aren’t very fast. So, is that why you’re only a bartender?” I said, receiving a glare from Sammy.

“Not everyone can run fast, and I was better at remembering things. That’s why I am an info broker for an organization.”

“I see, I see, so you know a lot of things,” I said with an emotional expression.

“Yes.”

“Great. I would like you to tell me everything you know.” I said with an evil smile.

“Why should I do that?” Sammy said, struggling against the chains.

“Hmm, you sure you want to fight against me right now?” I said, making an ice dagger in my hand.

“Where did that come from. Now that I think about it, that weapons you put up also came out of nowhere.” Sammy said, looking at the ice dagger in my hand.

“you’re really slow on the uptake,” I said to bring down the dagger towards her foot.

“Augh!”

“Now, tell me everything you know and stop trying to stall. The auction will end after midnight, and you know that,” I said, making another dagger in my hand.

“Fucken bitch.”

“Na-ah, that’s not what I want to hear,” I said, stabbing her other foot. “Now start talking demon girl.”

“Augh! Fine, I will talk...”

(3 hours later)

“It seems the auction is finally over. That was a great chat, Sammy. I would love to talk to you again.” I said, walking out of the VIP room with my coat and full ice mask on, hiding my appearance. Looking back into the room, I saw Sammy hanged up by her arms onto the roof with multiple ice daggers stabbed into her and half of her face being skinned off. Smiling at my work, I added before closing the door. “That is if you survive tonight.”

‘I hope Kayda won’t be mad when I tell her all the info I got out of Sammy. Anyway, got to go get my items and money.’ I thought while walking down the stairs.

Humming to myself while walking down the stairs, I came down to the ground floor, where one of the employees walked up to me.

“I hope ma’am liked the auction. Will ma’am take your items now or on a later day.” The employee asked.

“I will take them now. Can you please guide me to the receptionist where I will be receiving my items?” I said in a kind voice.

“It will be my pleasure, ma’am.” The employee said, turning around and started walking with me, following him not long after. We came to a receptionist who looked at me with a confused gaze.

“Weren’t there 2 of you when you came in.” The receptionist said, looking at me confused.

“Oh, you mean that demon girl. Oh, oh yeah, she is still in the room. After I got the chakrams, I was in a really good mood, so we had some... fun, Hehe.” I said in a little seductive voice.

“You will have to pay for any damages or cleaning that must be done.” The receptionist said with a disdainful expression.

‘Well, damages are serious and cleaning... I guess that’s fine.’ I thought, remembering all the blood and destroyed chairs.

“That’s fine. Just let her sleep away and take 1 000 gold coins of my share to repair and clean everything.” I said, waving her of getting a more decided look from her.

“Anyways, out of the 15 weapons everyone sold, and you received 300 000 gold coins. We are taking 15% and 100 for the cleaning and repair work of the room. Then there are the 2 items that you bought for 74 000 gold coins. All in all, you made 180 000 gold coins.” The receptionist said, putting 10 cases on the table with a box holding my items.

“That is a lot of money,” I said bring the box closer to me before opening it. Inside you could see a white coat with a red outline and red buttons. Next to it, there were 6 chakrams stacked next to each other.

“All your items should be in there.”

“They are, and these chakrams look better close up,” I said, taking one of the chakrams out of the box. It was about 60 cm in diameter with one handle in the middle and 4 curved blades on the ends facing different directions, making it seem like the entire chakram is a blade itself.

What you won’t notice is that these chakrams have two functions. When it is spun clockwise, it will do clean cuts as the blades will move in a way that a person will use to cut things. If you do it anticlockwise, it will rip a person apart as that side has a gap between the base of the chakram and the blades.

Looking closer to the minor details, you could see there was small diamond shape carves in the chakram and perfectly placed so someone could infuse the weapon with an element without a problem.

“Of course, they would be good. A blacksmith king created it after all.” The receptionist said, annoyed.

“I didn’t know that,” I said, not looking at the receptionist. Taking out all the chakrams, I started to infuse my ice mana into it and froze the diamond shape holes of each chakram so that I can control them with easier.

“At least it seems you know how to use them.” A female voice said from behind, making me stiffen up before turning around slowly.

Turning around, I saw Grandenzil standing in front of me with a raised eyebrow with another female half her size standing next to her with a black mask and coat.

“Oh, you must be the other people who bet on these,” I said, keeping my calm.

“Yes, I was about to ask you to give us them but seeing you use them like that I think, miss peanut here will still need a lot of training before I get her a new set of chakrams,” Grandenzil said, tapping the girl’s head.

“Hmm, oh so her main weapon are chakrams? That’s quite rare to see.” I said, letting the chakrams go before they floated to my back out of my few. Turning around, I tapped all the cases and box, putting them into my dimensional storage.

“Dimensional magic?” Grandenzil said, looking at me, surprised.

“Well, ladies, I will be going,” I said, giving them a nod before walking past them towards the exit, still keeping the chakrams.

“Wait! What did you mean?” Miss peanut said, making me stop in my tracks, looking back at her confused.

“What do you mean by that?” I asked, tilting my head.

“What do you mean by its rare to see a person using chakrams. Aren’t you one as well.” Miss peanut said.

“I do use them, but they aren’t my main weapon,” I explain with a shrug.

“Might I ask what your main weapon is?” Grandenzil asked, intrigued.

“that’s a good question,” I said, taking a thinking pose.

“Why do you need to think about it?”

“Well, I am good at a lot of things, so why not think about it. I mostly know how to use any weapon that exists.” I said with pride.

“Tch.”

“Well, anyway, seeing as you are the first person I have met using them here is a present,” I said, taking out a large boulder of demon rock.

“What!?” Grandenzil shouted, surprised.

“As for my main weapon, I will say magic,” I said, turning around leaving them surprised.
