Chapter 122 (Men Stay Here!) Lin Wenxi Was Attacked When He Returned to School
So many students in a class ran away, but at last they couldn’t swathe flames in paper. Under the strict orders of the university counselor, several other boys were on duty for a few days, but eventually, they went back one after another because nothing serious happened.
Later, Gu Xi could not hold up. Instead, he was taken care of by others due to sickness. He dared not stay there but ran back to school secretly and silently, which made Lin Wenxi uncomfortable for a long time.
Zheng Kai was worried about being attacked by someone during the daytime, so he chose to be on duty with Chen Wanxin during the day. His kindness was ridiculed by Lin Wenxi that he was a single dog driven out of the door in a snowy day, watched the owners fall over each other under the window and shed tears. Zheng Kai was surprised at why Lin Wenxi was so mean. At last, he was saddened by the clear picture in Lin Wenxi’s words, and lit cigarettes in the window.
Shu Xiaoman was more and more depressed. The three girls in her dormitory had dependent but she had not even seen the hope of germination. She thought that if she tried her best to treat Lin Wenxi, she would be able to wait for the day when the clouds and mists were cleared, even if not, she could accept that he was with Zhao Yuan. But this boy would try his best as long as it was beneficial to Zhao Yuan, and would avoid everything that was unfavorable to Zhao Yuan. He was even afraid that his loud voice would affect Zhao Yuan’s sleep. Surprisingly, he knew that Zhao Yuan and Chen Wanxin was sleeping in another room, but he could guard at the door of the ward without showing his emotion.
More than once, she felt that she was seemingly farther and farther away from the boy. When she left the hospital, Lin Wenxi had not been retained her at all, nor had she ever been sent out.
“Wenxi, you should go back to school.” Zhao Yuan suddenly sat in the bench in the hospital corridor, by Lin Wenxi’s side, and said before he kept silent for a long time.
“Did I disturb your two-people’s world?” Lin Wenxi bowed his head and played the only game, Snake, in his mobile phone, and said absently.
“Wenxi...” Zhao Yuan took Lin Wenxi by the shoulder and held him in his arms. “Do you know? Sometimes, it’s the only way I feel like I’m still alive.”
“Yuan... I am sorry... I don’t know your situation, or I’ll never ask my dad to ban the boxing gym.” Lin Wenxi shrank in Zhao Yuan’s hug and whispered.
“I don’t blame you. It’s me who is useless.” Zhao Yuan gently patted Lin Wenxi’s back. “You must be tired these days.”
“Since you have met your darling, how can you not be overjoyed?” Lin Wenxi smilingly said, “Anyway, you don’t understand.”
“They are Gu Xi’s two dishes. One is red bean porridge mixed with something, called ‘since you have met your darling’ and the other is a heart-shaped pair of stewed chicken wings, called ‘how can you not be overjoyed’. I have known it for a long time.” Zhao Yuan smiled wearily and said, “You and him are literary and artistic young fair boys.”
“Did my mother contact you?” Lin Wenxi asked. He knew that once the university counselor called his family and his mother couldn’t contact him, she would go to Zhao Yuan, which became a routine when Zhao Yuan first called his family. Lin Wenxi didn’t know that Zhao Yuan had been scolded before he came.
“Well, if you don’t go back to school, your credits would be negative,” Zhao Yuan said.
“We can repeat the year’s work together, and we stay in school for another year.” Lin Wenxi laughed and rubbed in Zhao Yuan’s hug, feeling dissatisfied, rubbed again. Then still dissatisfied, he like a cat generally rubbed directly under his neck. Zhao Yuan could not help kissing him. When they were amused, someone coughed slightly beside them. It was Zheng Zihuan.
“You’re not afraid that something happened to your father since you did it on duty!” Zheng Zihuan said sternly.
Lin Wenxi blushed to his ears. He recalled that they couldn’t hold their feelings and made such a move in the corridor. Obviously, Zheng Zihuan was looking straight at them.
“Uncle Zheng, what’s wrong?” Zhao Yuan asked.
“What were you doing? You are two boys.” Zheng Zihuan turned around to look at Lin Wenxi.
“We were training on how to do artificial respiration,” Zhao Yuan said.
“How about helping me have a try?” Zheng Zihuan said with a poker face.
“Zheng Kai can do it, too,” Zhao Yuan said.
Lin Wenxi almost laughed. Zhao Yuan could be rascally at any time, which was really puzzling.
“I’ll rotate with you, beause your university counselor had called several times for urging. A’kai, have to go back to school...” Zheng Zihuan said with some embarrassment.
“How come? His credit ranked the first. It’s all right for him not to go to school in half a year,” Lin Wenxi said in surprise.
“His credit was used for more important things,” Zheng Zihuan said briefly.
Zhao Yuan and Lin Wenxi looked at each other and suddenly came to realize, so they got up together to find Zheng Kai.
“All three of you can go back for the time being. I’ll stay here with A Yuan,” Zheng Zihuan said to Chen Wanxin who was rubbing her eyes after waking up.
Chen Wanxin of course refused, but her phone rang. It was an unprecedented scolding by her mother Deng Yifei. She also knew that if she didn’t want to repeat her grades in disgrace, she had to attend the intensive examinations of these days. Since she asked others to take the examinations for her and she was caught once. According to the school rules, she should have been deducted a lot of credits and kept in school but placed under surveillance. If it hadn’t been Mo Qian who calmed down the matter, it would have been difficult to deal with it if it hadn’t been passed on to her father.
There was a professional course examination the next morning, so they three dared not delay much, but rushed to Jifu University overnight.
The rented car came to the city in the late evening. They three was walking in parallel in the underground passage. The lights were somewhat dim, and there were few pedestrians. If at ordinary times, even if Lin Wenxi alone was walking in the tunnel which could absorb all voices, and could not help being scared.
On the other side of the tunnel suddenly came out of several tall young people, who were all wearing masks and holding sticks in their hands, and surrounded them as if they knew them.
Zheng Kai believed that he could win if he fought alone. But at that moment, it was hard to protect his beloved girl and his roommate, Lin Wenxi, equal to half a woman.
Zheng Kai looked eagerly at them, escorting Lin Wenxi and Chen Wanxin behind him, and said loudly, “Bro, is it my Zheng Kai’s fault offend you, or is there something else? One should answer for what he does himself. You can aim at me. You can’t be real men if you bully the girl and kid.”
They ignored it.
Lin Wenxi, suppressing his fear, smiled and said, “We are only students. We haven’t dealt with any of you. Do you mistake us for somebody else?”
“Would you like to fight with him? I will also respect you as a real man even if you lose it!” Chen Wanxin said with a smile.
The leader of them said in a low voice, “Men stay here, and the girl gets away right now.”
Zheng Kai giggled, and said on purpose, “First teach us how to get away!” He kicked one person to the side, and seized the stick in his hand. He handed it to Chen Wanxin, and pushed her behind him. “You go first, and call the police.” He pointed to Lin Wenxi and said, “He is also a woman.” So he protected Lin Wenxi to rush out.
Chen Wanxin handed back the stick and turned her head very simply. She never believed that the police would come faster than Luo Yang.
