Chapter 113: 113:Seeking New Lab

BANG!BANG!BANG!BANG!

The screen flashed with a burst of explosion, radiating smoke and dust as Evan unleashed a rapid series of shots from his machine gun.

The shooting game hit the spots of gamer enthusiasts and it was designed with meticulous attention to detail, unlike anything ever witnessed before.

Unlike other games, when you shoot a random wall and blast it, the wall would show cracks, leaving bullet holes behind. The trees would catch fire and burn realistically when vehicles are blown apart with explosions.

The level of detail was enough to blow one's mind and all this was packed into just 700 MB. In truth, despite being a very big game, using CodeZipper it had been squeezed expertly.

Its name was Ode Of War.

The second game was a fantasy RPG.

To create this, Aurora meticulously studied countless system novels and games, deriving their strong breaking point and integrating them into this creation.

It was going to be released in parts, featuring an expansive ancient map. The graphics were impressive enough that would make anyone wonder if it was even possible to ensure this level of detail.

"It's good..." Even praised.

[Of course, after all, who made this.]

A proud voice responded from the other side.

Nodding his head in satisfaction, Evan glanced at the massive machine behind him.

"For the next step, I need to upgrade the VR. I already have everything but I need more qubit chips and a few other components to make it seem real."

Evan paused and fell into deep thoughts for a moment.

For worse, Indra technology lagged behind, not because of the lack of geniuses in the country, but rather because most of them had left the country due to poor opportunities.

In every core research group of big companies, you can find someone from Indra, but when it came to their own country, it was a whole different story.....

Understanding Evan's thoughts, Aurora listed a set of companies that had quantum Computers:

IBM

Eaggle

Macrosoft

Rigetti Computing

IonQ

D-Wave Systems

Yobaba

Xanadu

Honeywell

PsiQuantum

[...]

Looking at the long list, Evan considered his options.

"For now, assess the top 5 and find out where I can easily get an entry."

After conducting a comparative search through all things available on the internet, Aurora found it.

_____

In the Next Gen Innovations.

Everything was gradually returning to peace—not because nothing significant was happening, but because everyone had already adapted to their work life.

The new app, System Manager, was another hit, reaching 200 million downloads. However, what caught everyone's attention about the app was that its premium version was 3 USD for Android but for Pears users, the premium price was 13 USD.

Aria and the team felt that it was a bit pricey and Aria was worried about potential backslash from Pears, but Evan was firm on keeping the price.

After all, the people buying Pears phones were dead rich, there was no way they couldn't afford 15 USD, which was like a small drop in the bucket for them.

As Aria typed on the computer, she suddenly saw a pop-up out of nowhere and noticed a small chibi version of herself appearing on the computer.

Her face paled and she almost screamed, thinking that her computer had been hacked and that too by someone who was far beyond her ability to handle.

[Miss Aria, please don't panic. I am Ria, your AI assistant, programmed by Evan to assist you with your everyday work.]

"AI…Assistant...What?" Aria screamed louder in bewilderment and even wondered if she had misheard anything.

"AI...Evan even managed to create an AI?" Aria froze in disbelief. Creating AI wasn't as simple as typing a few lines and codes to run the program; rather, it required a very vast amount of information and data to train an AI, followed by regular updates.

"Did Evan create you?" she asked, her voice trembling.

[Yes, Ma'am. My master was created to oversee and help Next Gen Innovations in day-to-day tasks.]

"But how?"

[I am sorry, but I can't disclose that information.]

Just then Aria's phone rang, and seeing the name, she directly picked up the call.

"Evan, what the hell? You…?"

Aria's fingers trembled slightly as she picked up the phone, her mind racing with questions about the AI assistant, Ria.

"Evan, what's with this AI assistant? It just popped up on my screen, and I'm trying to wrap my head around it. Can you explain?"

There was a brief pause on the other end before Evan's calm, measured voice came through. "Miss Aria, I understand your curiosity, but I can't go into details right now. I need you to focus on a couple of things."

"Wait, Evan, this is important. How did you even—"

"Trust me, it's all under control. Right now, I need you to release two new games. They're ready and I'm sending you the files in a while. Make sure they're launched as soon as possible."

Aria's confusion deepened. "Two new games? Games....how? When did we enter the gaming market? It's a different line. We don't even have the experienced personnel to take over that."

Seemingly unfazed, Evan spoke, "Then just hire them. The games are already finished, no need to worry about the graphics. It's the best of the best. Both can be played offline."

Just as Aria was lost in deep thoughts, wondering what was going on and how did he even come up with this all by himself.

"And," Evan continued, snapping her out of her thoughts, "I need you to contact IBM. Strike up a deal to access their lab for a brief period. We need access to some advanced tech."

"Haa! But what could we possibly offer in exchange for the deal," Aria asked in bewilderment as if this was absurd.

"I will provide you with a file detailing the vulnerabilities in their database and in return, we will offer them something similar to Wall Protector."

Before Aria could respond, the call ended and she could only stare at the phone, feeling both baffled and overwhelmed.

As if on cue, her computer chimed with incoming files. She clicked and opened them to find game packages along with Evan's precise instructions for their release.

"Alright," she muttered to herself, shaking her head in disbelief. "I guess I'd better get to work. And I suppose I'll figure out the AI assistant later."
