The Tycoon's Odyssey

Chapter 389 389:Back Deal

Chapter 389 389:Back Deal

Amidst the global cold war between Next Gen Pharma and the rest of the world, a small company managed to strike an unprecedented deal and secured partnerships to distribute the cure on an exclusive basis.

The conference room was a sleek amalgamation of modern design and cutting-edge technology, reflecting the high-stakes negotiations taking place within.

Steven Hook, the CEO of Pears, sat at the head of a polished, long oak table, His tailored suit and sharp demeanor exuded authority, but a hint of tension flickered in his steely gaze as he reviewed a series of documents on a holographic display.

The door opened, and a man stepped in, his stride confident and his face adorned with a friendly smile.

Experience tales at empire

"Mr. Daniel Biswas!"

"Ah, Mr. Hook," Daniel greeted warmly, extending his hand. "It's good to finally meet you in person. Video calls just don't capture the same atmosphere."

Steven rose and shook Daniel's hand firmly, offering a rare smile. "Indeed, Daniel. It's a pleasure. Let's hope this meeting seals what we've been working on for months."

Both men took their seats, while Daniel's secretary moved to a discreet corner, ready to take notes on her tablet.

"So," Daniel began, leaning forward slightly. "What's the verdict on the test reports? Do you trust me now? Is the cure original, or are you still harboring some doubts?" His tone was casual, yet laced with a touch of pride.

Steven adjusted his glasses and tapped a few buttons on his tablet to project a detailed report on the screen before them. "Yes, the results are impressive. The experiments confirm that the cure is effective. The recovery rates are astonishing, and the patients seem to be doing well so far."

He paused, meeting Daniel's eyes. "But…"

"But?" Daniel raised an eyebrow, the smile on his face unshaken.

Steven leaned back, folding his hands on the table. "The long-term effects are still uncertain. A cure of this magnitude requires time for comprehensive observation. It's groundbreaking, but we need to tread cautiously to avoid unexpected repercussions."

He then continued. "It might do well now but who knows about the potential side effects. However, both of us know what we are here for. We have already started supplying the cure to private hospitals and just as you asked for, we have only sold it to people who signed the contract that states they accept the risk in case something bad happens in the future."

Daniel nodded thoughtfully. "Understandable. Yet, the Federation is already preparing to move ahead. Are you confident that they won't cause us trouble down the line?"

At this, Steven frowned slightly, his fingers drumming on the table. "Most likely, they won't. With Evan making the first move, the Federation is already struggling to suppress the political movements all around the world. They'll have no choice but to roll out the cure if they want to maintain any semblance of control."

He leaned forward, his voice lowering. "This is where we strike first. You've provided me with this cure, and in return, I'll ensure you lead the charge. Together, we will dominate this field before anyone else even knows what's happening."

Daniel's smile widened. "Glad to hear that. Timing is everything, after all."

Steven nodded, and the next moment his tone grew more deliberate. "Before we proceed, you remember the deal we discussed, don't you?"

"Of course."

Daniel's expression was calm and assured. "I've already started the groundwork. The share transfers will be initiated within the next five days, as agreed."

Steven allowed himself a small smile. "Good. With our network and influence, this partnership could reshape the industry. Pears took a hit in the smartphone market, but this venture… this is our way back to the top."

Daniel chuckled lightly. "Smartphones are only the beginning. The hardware and software dominance of Next Gen Tech has set a benchmark that's difficult to surpass. But with this cure, we're venturing into a whole new realm."

Steven's smile faded, replaced by a pensive look. "True. We'll either innovate beyond them or dominate a new frontier altogether. And this cure… it's our godsend opportunity."

As the meeting concluded, Daniel stood and adjusted his jacket. Steven extended his hand once more. "I'll be expecting updates on the share transfer. Let's not waste any time."

"You'll have them," Daniel assured him with a firm handshake.

Walking out of the building, Daniel's secretary, a sharp-eyed woman with a military bearing, turned to him. "That went exceptionally well, sir. Your approach was flawless."

Daniel chuckled. "It's not mine alone. Evan's strategy is unparalleled. By letting rivals take the lead in the public eye, we stay shielded. Even if Next Gen falls, he can rebuild from the core. He's always five steps ahead. All we need to do is bring out the enemies and band them onto the board."

The secretary gave a crisp hod, admiration evident in her gaze. "Understood. Where to next?"

Daniel checked his watch. "We're meeting the representative from Great Royal next, followed by Youkou Technologies. And remember—no compromises on shares, no matter the pressure. We need their investment."

"Got it," the secretary replied, noting his instructions.

Daniel's expression grew serious, though his confidence remained unwavering as they headed toward their car. "This is just the beginning. The game is far from over."

The pharmaceutical industry was in a frenzy, a modern gold rush draped in the name of health and hope. Following Next Gen's groundbreaking breakthrough with the cure for cancer and AIDS, pharmaceutical companies across the globe leapt into a fierce race.

Laboratories in USL, Daxia, Great Royal, and USR scrambled to develop their versions of the vaccine or strike deals to distribute Daniel's formula. The vaccine's initial scarcity only fueled its demand, transforming it into a coveted commodity worldwide.

The previous cure paled in comparison to the one Daniel had produced, and so knowing that releasing their own now was like hitting a stone with an egg. Instead, many companies realized that it was better to just tie up with Daniel and supply it, hoard profits while biding their time to reverse-engineer his formula.

Despite Daniel's labs's enormous production capacity churning out a staggering 500,000 doses per day, the output fell woefully insufficient to meet the insatiable global demand. Countries scrambled to secure their share, and corporate representatives swarmed like predators, hungrily pouncing to secure distribution deals.

Daniel, juggling negotiations with various parties, struck agreements that would make his pharmaceutical channels the exclusive suppliers in these regions.

For an exhausting month, Daniel had been dashing from one country to the other like a madman without getting any rest.

Evan, however, always several steps ahead, had other plans in mind.

He instructed Daniel to deliberately restrict the supply of vaccines, creating a calculated shortage.
