Chapter 75: 75:Amazed By Breach Protector
Chapter 75: 75:Amazed By Breach Protector
Evan returned quickly after receiving Aria's call, without informing Maria. He didn't have the energy to deal with the demoness over the phone.
And so began another journey through the deadly cliffs, which kept Evan on the edge.
As soon as he entered BBSR, after the mind-boggling journey, he decided to get a check-up to ensure that all of his organs were still in their correct places.
Yes, that was also the primary reason why Evan was reluctant to get out of that place. The driver seemed to be driving with balls of steel, and it was too much Evan.
A few times, he had even seen small boulders passing at dangerously close distances from them and were large enough to shatter the windshield. But now that he had finished all his work here, he swore that he wouldn't be visiting this place anytime soon.
The next day, he visited his office, where the employees stood in respect and awe.
Evan's heart swelled with pride as he walked past them. After he left, soft murmurs and whispers filled the air behind him.
Initially, many wondered who he was, but as soon as the Security guard gave Evan a salute of greeting, everyone's eyes widened in shock.
Since its inception, it was the first time Evan came to the company. Except for the core people in the IT department and a few senior employees, most of the new staff hadn't even seen their boss.
"Oh My God, I can't believe that our boss is so young."
"Yeah, and he is too handsome."
While girls jumped up with infatuated gazes, a few senior men wiped the cold sweat on their foreheads, lamenting.
"My child is of the same age, but all he does is spend his days playing PUBG."
"At least, he's doing something, unlike my girl, who makes cringe videos on Tic-Tack or sells herself for reels.."
_____
Entering his spacious office cabin, which had been left untouched, Evan took a seat and called Aria.
"So, you are finally willing to crawl out of that place?" Aria asked coldly.
"Miss Aria, the place was quite good to settle in. It was a nice change of pace. Think of it as a mini vacation. Also, I have developed a new software."
Seeing her brows raised high, Evan then continued, "Unlike the CodeZipper, this can truly shake the world to its core and potentially make us a company worth multi-billion or maybe more…"
Aria's ear perked up at this and her professionalism kicked in. Putting aside other thoughts, she began inquiring about the software.
Evan pulled out his laptops and showcased the ins and outs giving Aria a brief demonstration.
He typed quickly and opened a file. With a few taps, he was connected to the office's mainframe server.
In the next moment, his expression changed…
As soon as Evan connected to the mainframe server of his office, the Protector system was initiated following which a series of blinking red dots appeared on his screen, indicating the potential threats that were being detected within the network.
Notifications flooded in, highlighting the discovery of malicious malware and trojans that were attempting to infiltrate the system.
"WHAT??"Evan's expression froze for a moment.
Evan's demeanor turned serious as he analyzed the alerts. His fingers danced across the keyboard, navigating through the detailed reports provided by the Protector.
Each notification revealed attempts of small-scale but potentially harmful attacks that were being aimed at exploiting vulnerabilities in the firewall.
[Identified suspicious network activity from an unknown IP address.]
[Potential non-harmful malware detected in incoming data packets]
[Flagged a minor vulnerability in the firewall configuration.]
[Detected a low-level intrusion attempt targeting server ports.]
Meanwhile, Aria, who had been monitoring the situation remotely, quickly sprang into action upon seeing the alerts from Evan's end. She quickly accessed the same system remotely from her secure location, leveraging the advanced capabilities of Breach Protector that Evan had recently developed.
"What the hell is going on?" Evan asked in bewilderment.
In a calm yet focused manner, Aria began to explain.
"Evan, these notifications indicate that our firewall was targeted by several non-harmful but potentially disruptive attacks. They were attempting to exploit entry points and test our defences. Luckily, our updated firewall settings and real-time monitoring had intercepted these threats before they could cause any damage."
She continued, her voice steady as she detailed the actions they had taken.
"I immediately deployed enhanced intrusion detection rules and activated additional layers of encryption to fortify our defenses. The malware and trojans were contained and isolated within our sandbox environment for further analysis. Our response protocols worked effectively to prevent any further breach to our server and maintain the integrity of our data."
Evan silently mulled over the details with an understanding look. After Aria finished her narration, he asked the question he had been curious about.
"Miss Aria, I understand we have done something great but it's not to that extent to attack so many and powerful troubles."
Aria chuckled hearing Evan's response.
"Evan, don't tell me that you haven't seen any app or software on pirate sites or any place other than the Play Store. Also, haven't you used mod APKs for premium versions of some apps?"
"But so pirate sites are trying to crack the code zipper, but…"
"I see..," Evan nodded with an understanding look.
Though he never used any pirate website to save tuition costs, he had downloaded some premium lectures from pirates.
Also, a few movies...
Yeah, he was guilty too...
Hiding his embarrassed expression, Evan adjusted his glasses and focused on the topic at hand.
"How is it?" he asked, trying to sound casual.
Aria, who was intently assessing the new software, looked up with wide eyes and a bright smile. "This… This is awesome, Evan. This is a revolution!"
Her excitement was palpable as she nearly jumped out of her seat, her hands clapping together. "Software firms, companies, and even the government would give us any amount we ask for installing this to their systems!" she exclaimed, her voice almost reaching the pitch of a shout.
Slightly taken aback by her enthusiasm, Evan watched her with a dazed expression. He blinked slowly, his eyebrows knitting together as he thought, *Did I really create something too big? Will it create trouble?*
"So, when do you plan to release it?" Aria asked, her eyes sparkling with anticipation.
Evan scratched his cheek nervously, his gaze dropping to the floor. "That… this thing is a bit too big to release globally. Why don't we do this? Miss Aria, try to contact companies and check if they are willing to buy a package. As for a specific price, we will need to negotiate."
Aria paused, her brows furrowing in thought. After a moment, her face brightened as a new idea popped into her mind.
"Evan, I have a few friends in the ULS. Since we are going there anyway, why don't we give them a try? They might be willing to pay us quite heftily."
Evan's eyes lit up as he nodded in agreement. "Hmm! We can do that!"
Just as they were finalizing things, they heard a loud commotion, followed by the door of the room being slammed open and a loud voice boomed.
"Where is he?"
