The Typhoon's Dangerous Wife

Chapter 112 - Zhang Han

Chapter 112 - Zhang Han

"We meet again, Mr. Zhang Han," Zhenyi said with a smile.

"Thank you for signing me, ma'am. If not for your keen gaze, I would have missed such a grand opportunity. And now I believe, you must have another offer or task for me too." Zhang Han said, all polite and professional.

"I like intelligent people," Zhenyi said as her observing eyes locked on his face. "And it's my good luck that I come across a beauty with a brain like you. "

Zhang Han had no idea how to retort Zhenyi's comment about beauty with brains. He just let her spoke whatever she wished because like everyone else he also didn't know how to engage in a verbal contest with a person such as her. Or he didn't want to. At least not until he gets what he wanted and what he wanted was the question of another time and certainly of great importance.

She put on another file before him and asked him to read it. Zhang Han frowned seeing the contents of the file while Zhenyi put a hand under her chin, her eyes still reading his face.

She must admit he was a very handsome lad. Well, more than her brother and husband but his beauty was somewhat angelic and her husband's looks screamed danger. One just knew that they couldn't stir up trouble with him.

But there was something in this Zhang Han that Zhenyi couldn't put her finger on. A skeptical impression that she needed to be careful of him. And her intuition was never wrong.

Zhang Han looked above the file and his gaze rested on Zhenyi as he said, " That's...."

"Your cancellation of the contract with Moonlight Entertainments," Zhenyi informed him.

She paused and then continued, "You have gained many followers and fans on social media but you need time and promising resources to get famous and to achieve what I know you will one day."

Just because she was pushing him to Du Zheng's side didn't mean she would never bring her money cow bag.

"I don't understand." His beautiful brows furrowed up.

"You don't need to." Zhenyi smiled. She then asked him to turn to the last page as she said, "You are canceling the contract with Moonlight entertainments and joining the Du entertainments."

Understanding hit him as he spoke, " Ah, I get it, Ma'am."

He had to do what Xu Ming Yue was doing as Du Zheng's woman.

"Indeed, beauty with brains," Zhenyi commented.

"Lu Xinyi will give you a list of operations that you need to carry out. Go to any lengths, Zhang Han. And you know better what I mean by it," She further added.

"I do. I think I need to call back manager Su," said Zhang Han with a smile.

"You shouldn't have declined his offer in the first place," said Zhenyi.

Like all the artists of Moonlight Entertainments, Zhang Han was also approached by the rival company but he declined their offer. The man called Manager Su was hell-bent on snatching Zhang Han from his company for whatever reasons only he knew.

"I'm happy with less money if it means I'm getting selected for my talents not otherwise. "Zhang Han stated.

"What do you need in return?" Zhenyi asked him directly. There was no meaning in running around the circle.

"Umm..." He hesitated.

"I know it's not money which you truly desire. What do you want, Zhang Han? What's your benefit in it?" Zhenyi asked again as she stood up from her chair and walked towards him.

"My grandfather was Master Yichen's music, Guru. He used to say that no better disciple of his can play Guzheng better than Master Yichen," He spoke and waited for Zhenyi's reaction when he saw her nod he continued, "I want nothing but few hours of Guzheng session with him."

Zhenyi put her hands on the desk and solemnly replied to him," I do not make decisions on my Ba's behalf. If he agreed, you will get what you desired. But if he doesn't, ask for something else."

Zhenyi could ask her father anything pertaining to the music, especially Guzheng. And what Zhang Han's grandfather said was true but it didn't mean she would agree just like it. Moreover, Ryuu's strict orders were to involve their father in some new hobbies. He didn't want their father to live alone at Xin mansion with the memories of their dead mother. He would neither move on nor forget her.

Zhang Han smiled at her and picked up the file from her desk. "I want nothing else," he said. "Even if he doesn't agree, I'll carry out the task."

He was about to leave her office when his eyes fell on another person sitting on the couch with a laptop on her lap. It seemed she was engrossed in whatever she was reading it looking at the screen.

And for a second his feet were stiffened on the spot. He wanted to walk in her direction and touch her as if to feel if she was real or just a part of her imagination. Then again, imagination couldn't be this beautiful.

And he would have walked in her direction and cleared all his doubts if Zhenyi's voice didn't stop him from doing so.

"And why will you do that? " The question was explicit and expected by him.

He turned towards her and said, "Because I know President Xin doesn't like owing to people. No matter how much you love money, you never accept freebies. "

"You have me all figured out," Zhenyi spoke to herself in a low voice. "Very well."

Zhang Han left the room satisfied with the result. There was a smirk playing on his lips for whatever reasons even this author doesn't know.
