Chapter 100 – The Villain and the Male Lead are about to meet (3)

Her instant son was out with his little buddies, and her daughter was at her dance lesson. The Lin’s mansion had returned to its long-forgotten silence.

Lin Yiyi was bored out of her mind and decided to pay a visit to Number One.

Having her own restaurant could at least keep her occupied….

She finally had an insight into why the original owner was so clingy to Meng Yuran and even insisted on following along when he went to filming locations…

Because she was too bored!!

Business at the restaurant was busy as usual. It has been quite popular.

By this hour, the lunch rush had already come and gone. But after Lin Yiyi rolled up her sleeves and started cooking in the kitchen, she was kept busy for over an hour before it truly slowed down.

Truth be told, it didn’t really matter whether she went into the restaurant to help out anymore. She had already shared with her two executive chefs her few secret recipes.

She even gave each of them some ownership of the restaurant in order to keep them working for her….

It was a lot of work to earn a good reputation. It may not ruin the restaurant’s reputation if they were poached by a competitor, but it would still be a hassle for her.

And now, the restaurant was “their” joint business. That way they would feel more of an ownership of it.

Meng Yuran was taken to his school in his grandpa’s Porsche driven by Old Wang, the chauffeur.

Many areas of the international school were not opened to the public. Facilities like the tracks, basketball court, etc., whether it’s holidays or not, they were generally opened for use to the students. They would only need to book them in advance.

The school had joined many sports competitions within the district and the city and was ranked in quite a few of them. This was also part of the reason that the school strongly encouraged the students to focus on more than just their grades.

This was the first time the basketball team from the No. 1 High School in the city visited this school.

As opposed to the very academically-focused emphasis of No. 1 High School, the feel of international school was very refreshing.

As soon as one walked in, they’d see lush bushes and trees and little crooked paths. Looking up, one would see a few brand-new buildings erected in front of them. They took up so much room that, never mind No. 1 High School, it was the combined size of two to three high schools.

Truth was, No. 1 and the international school had never gotten along.

One of them was the best school in the city. It has high means among the students and high rate of acceptances into prominent universities. All these students were quite stuck up.

The other one was privately-run. Its tuition was outrageous. Most of the students there were from prominent families, and all standing at the apex.

In short, both sides believed they were the best.

Ironically, the two basketball teams ran into each other a lot. They may not like each other, but like nemesis, they’d always run into each other in the end.

“This is a pretty good school.”

Xi Ru toyed with the basketball in his hand and spun it on his fingertips as he looked around, “But, the school being great doesn’t mean their basketball team is strong. Am I right, Zhe?”

“Last time they lost to us, they insisted that it was because we had the home court advantage. When we beat them this time in a landslide, they’d know to get down on their knees and call us ‘daddy’.”

Someone snickered, “Right, plus we have Zhe this time.”

A young man in a white t-shirt with his hands in his pocket was walking leisurely on the crooked path remaining quite the entire time.
