The Villain's Little Cat

Chapter 22

Chapter 22

Chapter 22: Visiting Kate’s Parents

Honestly, Kate was tempted to find these crystals on her own.

But on the second thought... she decided to not do it. Her current ability was nothing more than having a space warehouse and also being a cat.

Tell her, how should she kill enemies with these abilities?

Knowing full well that it would be impossible, Kate decided that it would be better for her to just follow Kyle obediently. She simply watched as Kyle cleaned up the street in their way towards Kate’s house.

He didn’t try to attract more of these mutated animals.

After all, Kyle’s abilities were still somewhat limited. He didn’t want to tire himself out as he already felt the burden in his body after using his ability a few times on the way. Absorbing crystal helped him to recover and increased his ability, but most of the crystals he gathered were not compatible with him.

These rats mostly produced either blue colored or yellow colored crystal.

.....

It was truly unsuitable for him.

Soon, they reached the residential area. This place was incomparable with the areas where Kyle lived, but Kate was excited when she saw it.

This is the areas where she and her parents lived.

She will be able to see them again soon!

The excited Kate was moving back and forth on the dashboard. Even Kyle was speechless when he saw his cat was being so excited coming here.

Did this cat forget who’s her owner?

His eyes narrowed slightly.

The little cat, Kate, shivered when she sensed the cold gaze from behind. She turned her furry head around and tried her best to look as innocent as possible.

She’s impatient to see her parents, alright?

It has been such a long time...

Alright, not that long.

Kate was more worried about whether something happened to her parents or not, which was why she was so excited when she was about to reach this area.

After making sure that Kyle would not be angry with her, Kate kept on looking outside.

‘It didn’t seem that there are a lot of battles...’

It didn’t take long for them to reach Kate’s house.

Kate jumped down from the dashboard to the chair and then looked at the door. She really wanted it to open so quickly.

Kyle sighed deeply at this ungrateful cat and picked her up. He truly wondered just why in the world he chose to keep this cat who kept on currying favor with others and not him.

Opening the door, Kyle walked out of the car and stopped in front of the gate.

Ding! Dong!

The bell rang.

“Yes?”

There was a female voice and then scurrying sound sounded from the house.

Kate’s eyes lit up. It was her mother’s voice. There was no way she will mistake this voice with anything else.

Kacha!

The gate opened a bit and Kate could see her mother was looking outside. She looked a bit cautious when she saw that it was a stranger.

“Hello, I’m Kate’s teacher.” Kyle then took out Kate’s student card that he brought with him. He also brought her bag along in case it was necessary.

“That’s Kate’s!” Kate’s mother was stunned when she saw the card and quickly extended her hand through the small gap to take it. Kyle was not stingy and let Kate’s mother take the student card.

Kate’s mother sighed deeply. She had been so worried about her daughter because it was rare for Kate not to go home. Her daughter has been the ‘go home’ type of student and didn’t like to participate in many activities in the university.

So they expected her to go home last night.

But their expectation only caused them to be even more worried when they realized that she didn’t come.

“Kate... where is she?” Kate’s mother asked worriedly.

Kyle originally wanted to say that he didn’t know but seeing Kate’s mother was like that, he took a deep breath. “I don’t have information about her whereabouts, but she’s fine. She asked me to give the card back to you because it’s inconvenient for her to come back.”
