The Villain's Little Cat

Chapter 53

Chapter 53

53 Returning

“I don’t know him.” Jake narrowed his eyes.

“He’s a politician who seems to be pretty lucky.” Kyle knew that name, but he was not that familiar with that person either. It seemed to be one of the politician who was pushed forward for the sake of a certain politician group.

He honestly didn’t know who that person is.

“Tsk, the strongest person... didn’t he know that a certain little cat is faster than him by two days?” Jake sneered.

Kate looked away.

Well, it was true that she was faster because she had her fifth minor awakening two days ago but after that, there was no sign of any major awakening no matter how much crystal Kate had been absorbing so far. It seemed that it would need a lot of crystals to be able to advance next.

Kyle shook his head and focused on the radio.

“Ah, this made me want to go and fight.” Jake stood up and cracked his fingers. “You’ve already had your fourth minor awakening, right Kyle? How about if you take more crystals so that you can hurry and have your fifth minor awakening?”

Kyle laughed lightly. “Let’s just go and hunt.”

.....

“Yes!”

Turning off the radio, the group was even more energetic than before. It seemed that they didn’t care about what was said in the radio anymore.

These minor awakenings were only some rapid improvement of their abilities, which could be noticed, but it wouldn’t change their ability as much as the major awakening that would only occur after every five minor awakening.

The only exception was when they were first level one.

For some reason, the number of minor awakening they needed were different. It might be related to their talent or something like that, but they were not totally sure about that.

...

By the time it was evening, they were on their way back and Kyle had already finished his fifth minor awakening in the third rank. He realized what Mr. Yuri meant was that it seemed as if their core was a bottomless abyss.

No matter how much he tried to absorb the crystals, the improvement has been extremely slow.

This was a bit strange.

“Is the third-five the highest limit?” Kyle mumbled to himself as they entered the city again.

With Jake’s parent’s card, the soldiers turned blind eyes when they saw this group and allowed them to enter.

Still, the soldiers couldn’t help but talk to each other.

“Should it be reported?”

“Well, as long as they didn’t break any rules, I don’t think it’s worth it to deal with those people...”

“True.”

“Let’s just pretend that the one who allowed them to come in is our friend.”

“Good idea.”

They didn’t want to deal with the follow up problems, so these soldiers pretended that they didn’t know anything.

Anyway, nothing actually happened.

“We’re back!” Jake happily jumped down. He stretched his hand and looked at Kyle. “Are you still worrying about that improvement thing? Don’t worry so much, it’s only been 10 days since the first time you awakened. You still have a long time ahead.”

“10 days?” Kyle caught that phrase and looked at Jake. His eyes narrowed.

“Yep. If you count it from the time when you wake up, calling us and everything, it has been 14 days more or less?” Jake didn’t really think too much and walked into the house. “Hey, your garden is more alive now. Tsk, tsk, earth and wood elements were truly most suitable for plants, aren’t they?”

Kyle didn’t pay attention to Kyle and instead turned to look at Dylan. “Are you still communicating with your parents?”

“Yes.” Dylan nodded.

“Good, then asks them whether there will be another red raid or not. Based on what those damn researchers said, there will be another red rain after 10 days because of the cycle of something.”

“Ok.”

Dylan walked inside and took out his phone to contact his parents. He didn’t like talking, so he simply typed the messages of what he wanted to say and sent it as fast as possible to his parents.

Anyway, sending messages could also encrypt them so only his parents will be able to see his message.

Soon, a reply was received.

“What did they say?”

“Possible.”

Kyle nodded. Dylan’s parents were not like Dylan to only reply with one word, but when Dylan was asked to convey what they said... he will definitely only use one to three words.

“In that case, go to rest early today.”

“Yes.”

Jake was also informed. Even though he was more skeptical, he still followed Kyle’s arrangement to sleep early.

On the other hand, Kate ran to the kitchen to find her mother and Kate’s Mother happily gave her some small pieces of bread. Kate ate them carefully and rested on the counter as Kate’s Mother happily made cake.
