Ruan Xia checked out Song Tingshen’s office. It was smaller than she had expected. After all, a CEO’s office would be super big and might even have a separate lounge area in TV shows.

This office was about 20 square meters, and its layout and interior decorations were on the simple side. Other than the chair, desk, and bookcase, there were only a set of black leather couches and a few green plants in front of the floor-to-ceiling windows.

Actually, this office reflected Song Tingshen’s usual behavior and style very well. He was always very low-key. He wasn’t the type that liked to be in the spotlight.

“I thought you would come later.” Song Tingshen sat in front of the desk and said to Ruan Xia, “I still have some work left. It should only take 20 minutes.”

“Just continue your work. You don’t have to rush. It’s too early to go to eat dinner anyways.”

Little Wang tugged on Ruan Xia’s hand. “Mom, I want to drink orange juice.”

Ruan Xia threw up her hands. “Mom doesn’t know where the orange juice is.”

“I know where it is.” Little Wang had come to his dad’s company several times and had a deep impression of this place. He pulled his mom out of the office.

There was a dedicated breakroom on this floor. The employees would put their lunchboxes in the breakroom’s refrigerator. The company also supplied free black tea, green tea, coffee, and other drinks.

When Ruan Xia went into the breakroom with Little Wang, they happened to meet a few employees that were there getting water.

The employees didn’t know how they should go about greeting her and scurried out with their glasses of water. Ruan Xia hadn’t encountered this type of tactical retreat before. She couldn’t help touching her face. Did she look that scary?

Little Wang was harboring a little scheme. Wanting orange juice was just a ploy to trick his mom into leaving his dad’s office. He was especially lively today as he dragged his mom all over the office to look around. Whenever they met an employee that he knew, he would raise his little chest high and very proudly introduce, “This is my mom. Isn’t she so pretty?!”

Ruan Xia: “...”

When Ruan Xia finally saw through his plot, she dragged him by his chubby arm back towards Song Tingshen’s office.

“Mom, are you angry?” His mom was holding him like a little wayward chicken.

Ruan Xia deliberately put on a stern expression. “It’s because you’re bothering them from doing their work. It’s work time right now. If they don’t finish their work, they might have to work overtime tonight.”

“Oh.” Little Wang currently had no idea about things like work and overtime. Looking at his mom, he said in his quietest whisper, “I just wanted everyone to know that you’re mom.”

What did he mean by that?

Ruan Xia doubtfully looked at him.

This chubby kid had been acting strangely today.

“Little Wang has a mom. Little Wang’s mom is here.” As he said these words, he hugged his mom’s waist. Like a little pig, he rubbed his little head against her body.

Perhaps, this was simply an inclination for young children. They liked their moms a lot, so much so that they wanted to let the whole world know how wonderful their moms were.
