Chapter 36 The Ex-?
Chapter 36 The Ex-?
?On the smooth, tiled floor of magnificent Glorr Mall, Chris and Cathy walked. Cathy with a smile on her face, she tugged at Chris, urging him to walk faster.
'Ugh, why is she so happy about going to a bar?' Chris grumbled as she pulled his hands. Well she wasn't to be blamed, he had kept the secret wine stash secret from her. Of course she was looking forward to some nice drinks after so long!
Cathy pulled Chris into the best bar that was inside the Glorr Mall. //The TenDown Street//
"Well, have a seat, what would you like?" Chris smiled and gestured her to sit in an empty booth and asked.
"Bourbon! No, Scotch... wait! Maybe Gin and tonic?" Cathy relied excitedly, however, her excitedness just made her much more confused.
"Martini with gin and olives, stirred, got it," Chris chuckled and patted her, taking his leave, though he heard a feminine, "Yes that!" behind himself.
Chris went to the and ordered the Martini for Cathy and a Bourbon for himself, however, while waiting for the drink, his eyes suddenly caught sight of someone familiar, actually two people that were familiar!
The other person also noticed Chris and suddenly got up from his seat and came over.
"Chris! You didn't talk to me after your date!" the figure - Maximus- shouted and sat in front of Chris's seat casually.
"I was going to invite you to a bar and talk haha, who is she?" Chris pointed at the lady who followed behind Max and was she was shocked to see Chris here aswell, especially when he was so casual with Max!
"Ohh! She is Sarah, she is quite nice, I met her in the bar," Max smiled politely infront of Sarah, although he gave a sneaky wink to Chris, making him become sure of Max's definition of 'nice'.
"I didn't know you were into such type of girls, I expected better from you, sigh," Chris sighed looking at his ex landlord who had given him quite a lot of trouble.
"Hm? You know her?" Max asked with a weird look, Sarah was indeed a little older than them but, her figure was still intact and she was decent in looks aswell.
"Wait, no way... is she your Ex?!" Maximus asked in shock, his eyes widened to the limit as if he totally believed his bullshit claim.
"No! Why would I take such a slut as my girlfriend?" Chris denied venehemtly, disgusted by Maximus's claim, even if he dies, he wouldn't take a girl like Sarah as his girlfriend.
"Chris... it's bad to make assumptions on someone's dressing and appearance, you know," Max looked at Sarah's bold and revealing clothes that practically screamed of her nature, although Max seemed to find nothing wrong in those.
"Do you think with your D? Idiot, I told you I know her!" Chris berated, of course he wasn't shouting or was mad. Insulting between friends was common and nothing to be offended about.
"Ohh, Chrisy! How good to find you here! How is Cathy and Cassy doing?" Sarah quickly decided to act friendly and gave puppy-eyes to Chris, begging him to not ruin her new target.
"Ah, so you guys know eachother that well?" Max nodded, believing Sarah's fake attempt of acting close.
"Of course I know her well," Chris smiled making Sarah sigh in relief that Chris decided to let her go, but, "She is a famous slut from our old neighborhood,"
Sarah's smile vanished and her face paled, she still remembered how heavy penalty she had to pay last time she tried to mess with Chris! Now once again?!
"What?" Max squinted his eyes, unbelievable of Chris's truthful words.
"Indeed, she wouldn't mind getting laid with a pig if that's profitable," Chris sipped his bourbon and gave a side-eye to Sarah.
He had just some time ago learnt how much Sarah used to force Cathy into joining her vile business and how much bad comments Cathy needed to tolerate due to it, of course he still hated Sarah.
"That..." Max turned to look at Sarah who was red with anger, but, she couldn't do anything. The aura of an awakener wasn't so weak and mere that any random can mess with it.
"Don't speak lies, Chris!" Sarah hissed in rage.
"Oh my, I am so sorry Ms. Sarah, I shouldn't have revealed the truth," Chris apologized sarcastically.
Max hearing his words was in dilemma, yes, he didn't differentiate between the girls and didn't judge them by any means. Though, boys didn't recieve the same treatment from him...a fucking playboy.
But, no matter if it was a saint or a devil, no one's inner conscience will allow themselves to get together with Sarah. Especially if such words were confirmed by their trusted friend.
Max with a sigh, politely requested Sarah to leave him alone with his thoughts, although, unwilling, Sarah had no choice but to leave as she had no plans to anger Mayor's son.
Though she didn't go without mumbling some curses and glaring hatefully at Chris.
"Hey, I forgot to tell you about my date!" Chris utterly ignored Sarah and spoke in a cheery tone with Max, "Your advice helped a lot!"
"Ohh? Tell me in detail," with a last sigh, Max drunk all of the Martini Chris ordered for Cathy and asked.
"That... was Cathy's..." Chris pointed to empty glass and as if on cue, Chris heard some footsteps behind him and his name being called.
"Chris? Why are you taking so much time?" Cathy walked to him and kept her hand on his shoulders.
"Ohh! She is your new girlfriend? You sure got a catch! She is really pretty!" Max without knowing their sibling's relationship, praised Cathy wholeheartedly.
"She is my twin sister," Chris gave him a side eye that hinted, 'you better keep away, bastard'.
"O-Ohh," Max quickly sat back on his seat, embarassed.
"Your drink... Max drunk it... I ordered it again, have a seat," Chris gestured her to take a seat and she indeed sat on seat beside him with a pout, looking really cute even though she was angry.
"Sorry," Max apologized to Cathy, however his apology would be more genuine if he didn't have a grin on his face.
"Tsk, who is he?" Cathy harrumphed and asked to Chris with a pout, she was looking forward to drinking and yet her drink was stolen.
"He is Maximus, Mayor's son, he is my friend," Chris gave a short introduction with a shrug, and asked, "You don't have your bodyguard today?"
"Nope, he is too annoying and wants me to drink less, I ditched him and ran into the bar," Max grinned.
"Wait, his name is Maximus Flagon?" Cathy suddenly asked and Chris gave a little nod and confused look on his face.
"I see," Cathy nodded to Chris and got up, walking towards Max, she had the scary look on her face that Chris had witnessed sometimes... and he knew, that face spelt trouble...
