The Wife of Hades

Chapter 93 - The Interview

Chapter 93 - The Interview

After winter break, An Luxia did not want to return to school at all. When Mo Han brought up the suggestion of having her drop out, she seriously considered it but thought better of it.

She grudgingly dragged herself out of bed in the cold weather, extremely unhappy as she marched into the restroom to get ready for the first day back to school.

She had slept early yesterday so she could wake up early today without feeling tired, but of course Mo Han had better plans. She cursed Mo Han over and over again as she brushed her teeth, almost falling asleep standing up.

Then, she put on a thick white sweater and some jeans before rushing out of the house. She did not want to be late for the first day of school.

---

At school, it was evident that most people were extremely tired after the long break and many of them were also running late.

Seeing that there were still people outside, An Luxia calmed down a little bit as she waved goodbye to Mo Han and walked onto the school grounds.

However, as she walked over to the building, she immediately noticed that something was wrong. An Luxia looked around, unable to ignore the stares she was receiving, the unfriendly stares. She easily recognized it for she had experienced the same look before, when the rumors about her had spread due to Li Yilan.

Couldn't she have a month of peace?! Why do so many people have the same hobby of spreading rumors about her?

An Luxia pulled out her phone as she continued to walk, trying to reach her first class's building as quickly as possible. She pulled open the school forum and immediately furrowed her eyebrows together, refreshing the page.

The school forum was empty and the top post was still the post of school starting again after winter break. She scrolled through and was certain that there were no posts about her. So what had happened?

She entered the classroom and her doubts were once again proven to be right when several pairs of eyes landed on her again.

She quickly sat down next to Yu Xinyi, who waved at her upon seeing her, "What happened? Why are people looking at me again?"

Yu Xinyi was just about to open her mouth when An Luxia beat her to it again, "Don't tell me it is Li Yilan again."

Yu Xinyi nodded her head, "You haven't seen the news yet?"

"News, I didn't see any news."

"It came out last night," Yu Xinyi exclaimed. No wonder she didn't see it! She had slept early last night and obviously did not get any chance to see the news since then.

"You know how that disgusting b**** went to star in a movie?"

An Luxia frowned and thought for a few seconds before nodding, "Oh yeah, I remember. Why, what happened?"

How does that have any relation to her?

"Well, she got pretty famous and she went to an interview, which came out yesterday." Yu Xinyi lowered her voice as she began explaining what had happened, "And she said some things about you in the interview. . ."

An Luxia twisted her nose together in disgust as she pulled out her phone and began searching. At once, the news came out. Just by searching Li Yilan's name, there was news about her and even a picture of her in the headline.

She found a video of the interview, which was half an hour long in total, but only five minutes of it was actually about her.

An Luxia skipped through most of the interview until she stopped when a question was asked about Li Yilan's family towards the end of the interview.

Li Yilan sighed and looked down, folding her hands together on her lap, "Yes, my parents come from a poor background so I grew up in a poor family as well, which is why I am determined to work very hard and repay my parents for all that they gave me."

An Luxia frowned, thinking that Li Yilan was very fit for the job of being an actress. She was indeed very good at acting.

"However, I actually also have an older sister," Li Yilan said softly, looking up into the camera.

An Luxia narrowed her eyes, continuing to listen, "She is four years older than me and also goes to the same college as me. She was adopted by another family and goes by the name of An Luxia now."

An Luxia gripped the phone tightly, wondering if it was legal for this interview to even come out? How could they put out private information about her without getting in trouble?

"Ah," Li Yilan looked towards the interviewer pitifully, "Is it okay if I say something to my sister here? I'm not sure if she will hear it but I really hope she will."

The interview obviously agreed, "Yes, yes, for sure."

Li Yilan looked towards the camera, tears appearing in her eyes as they sparkled under the studio lighting, "I just want to tell my sister, An Luxia, something. I know you may still be mad at mom and dad, but they really didn't mean to abandon you!"

Li Yilan looked down momentarily, pretending to wipe her nonexistent tears before looking up again, "I know you are in a better family now after being adopted, but it is still wrong for you to not care about mom and dad anymore."

She moved forward on the chair, placing one hand over her chest, "If it is for the money, I have money now! I will give you all the money I earned from the drama I filmed."

She pressed her lips together, saying a little softer but loud enough for everyone to hear, "I know you found a rich man and you sleep with him for money, but you don't have to do that. Mom, dad, and I all don't want you to do something so. . . shameless like that. You don't have to forgive us and. . . I know you don't want to take care of mom and dad, but at least don't give up on yourself like that."

Then, Li Yilan suddenly started crying for whatever reason and the interview came to an end. An Luxia rolled her eyes, wondering how bored Li Yilan must be to waste her time on doing something like this.

Yu Xinyi blinked her eyes a few times as she watched An Luxia put down the phone calmly as the professor entered the room, "Are you not mad? What are you going to do about it?"

An Luxia shrugged, "Why should I be mad? By doing this, Li Yilan is just acting like a little clown hopping around me trying to make me angry."

She rolled her eyes, opening her textbook for the class was starting, "Don't worry about it, things will die down."

However, things did not seem like they would die down soon. Not only did this blow An Luxia up greatly, but it also blew Li Yilan up. For people who did not know her yet, they ended up knowing who Li Yilan was after the interview.

People all over the country were mad at An Luxia for being a "disgrace" to the country, and everyone was feeling bad for Li Yilan, even people who weren't her fans.

Under the interview, the comments were increasing by the second.

'Person 1: Being raised in a good family does not mean they will be a good person."

'Reply: Exactly! Although our Lanlan wasn't born in as good of a family as her sister, she is a much better person!'

'Reply: This is the deepest comment in this entire comment section hahaha.'

'Person 2: Who is this disgusting person?! An Luxia, is it? She deserves to go die in a hole! Get out of our country, you disgrace!'

'Person 3: Although I didn't know who Li Yilan or An Luxia was until seeing this, but I already hate An Luxia just from this half an hour interview. Even if you were adopted, that doesn't mean you should just forget about your biological parents that gave birth to you!'

Underneath, the comments against An Luxia and for Li Yilan were piling up as the interview was pushed up in the entire country so more and more people could see it.

Before long, the entire Internet was talking about Li Yilan and scolding An Luxia.

---

An Luxia looked through the comments as she walked out of school, ignoring the comments she was receiving. By now, the people in her school weren't scared to openly talk bad about her anymore, and they took pictures of her while trash talking her, a few of them even trying to throw things at her.

An Luxia clenched her fists together, wanting to fight back but thinking better of it since they were all filming, and it would only make things worse for her if she talked back right now.

The entire country was against her right now, so fighting back against a few classmates was utterly worthless.

She entered the back parking lot and the talking around her finally died down as she put away her phone and walked to the empty space, looking around for Mo Han.

However, before she could see anything, her head was suddenly covered by something and a strong force hit her from behind, knocking her out.

What in the world?! Not again!
