Just as Bai Chuwei said that, a sleek black car steadily stopped by her side.

The impeccable-looking man seated inside frowned and his gaze on Bai Chuwei contained a wisp of doubt.

Why… did she call him Tang Monk’s flesh yet again?

The evening sunlight shone through the car’s window, making Duan Feihan look increasingly handsome. His facial features appeared noble, causing passers-by to suck in cold air.

“Uncle, you’re finally here. Doctor Bai doesn’t wish to check up on grandfather’s illness.” Duan Xingye went over and complained.

The door opened and a pair of slender long legs came out first, followed by his tall upper body, and almost every single frame could be used as a screensaver.

Duan Feihan’s slender fingers straightened his cuffs and he stared at the petite Bai Chuwei who was giving off an outstanding demeanor. “Miss Bai, my father is gravely ill. Regardless of the price, I earnestly request you to treat his illness.”

Bai Chuwei had an indiscernible expression on her face as she said, “Regardless of the price?”

Her gaze was currently sizing up the man.

As expected of a man that the female lead, Tong Qingyan, pursued but failed to acquire, he was so handsome to the point that he was flawless.

In the original novel, the man whom the female lead initially liked was the Duan Family’s fourth young master, Duan Feihan. But, he was a workaholic who only loved his career and turned a blind eye to Tong Qingyan’s adoration. As a result, she was emotionally hurt due to dejection and thus, turned to the male lead’s embrace and they worked together to deal with Duan Feihan.

Duan Feihan wore an indiscernible expression and his low, yet magnetic voice slowly replied. “What price does Miss Bai wish to ask of me?”

Duan Xingye was confused as he sensed the weird atmosphere. What were they talking about?

Bai Chuwei’s fingernails gently scraped her chin and she smiled suddenly. “Let’s go. We’ll talk about it after I look at the patient.”

She agreed! Moreover, they had yet to even talk about the remuneration. True to the rumors, she was very moody.

His fourth uncle personally opened the door for Bai Chuwei, and Duan Xingye wondered if it was due to the respect he had for her.

Bai Chuwei did not even blink as she accepted the gesture, matter of factly and sat in the back seat.

Duan Xingye was about to follow suit, but was suddenly kicked on his ankles. Duan Feihan’s chilly voice sounded in his ear. “Sit in the front.”

Duan Xingye: ?? Huh? He had to sit in the front again?

Duan Xingye could never disobey his fourth uncle, so he did as asked, in a resigned manner.

Duan Feihan made his way into the car and the faint traces of spiritual energy leaked out from the Buddha bracelet on his hand. Bai Chuwei took in a deep breath and could not help but say, “You smell so good.”

Duan Feihan: …

He disliked using perfume, so how in the world would he smell good?

Duan Xingye, seated in front, suddenly realised something and asked. “Fourth Uncle, did you meet with an important client today?” His uncle was dressed rather sharply, as if it had been specially prepared.

Duan Feihan glanced at Bai Chuwei. Her expression was normal, not bothering to notice whether he was dressed differently compared to the previous time, in the mountains. He then lowered his head and said faintly, “No.”

Duan Xingye scratched his head in doubt. Was that right? His Fourth Uncle usually didn’t behave like this!

The black car slowly drove away from the school entrance and passed by a white car.

Bai Yinyin seated in the white car rubbed her eyes and suspected if she had seen wrongly. She seemed to have witnessed Bai Chuwei seated in that car.

Didn’t that car belong to the Duan Family?

Bai Chuwei, that country bumpkin was acquainted with the Duan Family? What nonsense!

Soon enough, Bai Chuwei’s phone rang from within her bag.
