Chapter 381: Chapter 381: The Man who is Good at Acting
After the movie, the four of them came out together.

Yang Qingye still clamored for Luo Ziling, her prospective brother-in-law, to treat them.

Hearing Yang Qingye call “brother-in-law” so sweetly, Luo Ziling grandly waved his hand and immediately agreed.

“Then we’ll wait for you,” Yang Qingyin said without saying much more, pulling Luo Ziling away first.

“Sis, brother-in-law, I’ll come over in a bit,” Yang Qingye said, dragging the other pretty girl who didn’t dare to talk much and ran away.

“What’s going on? Weren’t we going to have a late-night snack?” Luo Ziling was utterly confused.

“He’s taking that girl home first,” Yang Qingyin pulled Luo Ziling away from the movie theater at a brisk pace, and seeing that Luo Ziling still didn’t quite understand, she whispered an explanation, “His flings never last long, just for the novelty. My parents would never approve of him being with such a girl.”

“Okay,” Luo Ziling sort of understood what was going on and didn’t ask further.

Yang Qingyin was in a very good mood during dinner, but as soon as she entered the movie theater and saw Yang Qingye with his “new love,” her mood plummeted rapidly.

Even now, walking hand in hand with Luo Ziling, she hadn’t recovered half the happiness she had at dinner.

“You’re not happy anymore?” Luo Ziling asked Yang Qingyin in a low voice, noticing the change in her mood.

“He always makes me worry,” Yang Qingyin said with a double meaning, “I’ll take the opportunity of him actively suggesting we have a late-night snack together to have a good talk with him.”

Luo Ziling didn’t say much, just took Yang Qingyin’s hand and went to a nearby teahouse to book a private room, waiting for Yang Qingye.

After waiting in the private room for about twenty minutes, Yang Qingye pushed open the door and came in.

“Hmm, sis, brother-in-law, the places you choose for a date are always so atmospheric,” Yang Qingye sat down and said with a chuckle, “So heartwarming and romantic, huh!”

“Yang Qingye,” Yang Qingyin’s pretty face turned red in an instant, and she scolded in a low voice, frowning.

Yang Qingye jumped in shock, immediately sitting up straight, and the smile on his face faded.

“If you dare to talk nonsense again, I won’t let you off,” Yang Qingyin commanded, both embarrassed and annoyed, puffing angrily, “Spill all your nonsense.”

“Sis, can I not say it?” Yang Qingye instantly turned into a pitiful boy, looking at Yang Qingyin with a pitiable look and after a few glances, turned to Luo Ziling for help, “Brother-in-law, if my sister hits me, you have to save me.”

Hearing Yang Qingye daring to call Luo Ziling “brother-in-law” again, Yang Qingyin’s face turned bright red, and she couldn’t hold back any longer, she stood up ready to hit Yang Qingye.

Startled, Yang Qingye swiftly got up from his chair and hid behind Luo Ziling, then said with a chuckle, “Brother-in-law, save me quick, or my sister is going to kill me.”

With Yang Qingye still calling him that, Yang Qingyin grew even more infuriated, looking like she wouldn’t rest until she beat Yang Qingye half to death.

Luo Ziling caught Yang Qingyin’s arm, laughing as he tried to calm her down, “Senior sister, your brother is just joking with us!”

“Let go of me,” Yang Qingyin was held by both her hands by Luo Ziling and couldn’t break free, so she could only threaten, “Let go, or I’ll bite you.”

As a result, Yang Qingye, who was hiding behind Luo Ziling, gave him a strong push.

Not expecting the younger boy to play dirty, Luo Ziling’s body naturally lurched forward. Fearing he would knock over Yang Qingyin, he quickly extended a hand to steady her.

“Oh, showing off your love in front of me, huh!” Yang Qingye said with a mischievous look, dodging to the side to tease them.

Yang Qingyin’s face grew even redder, but trapped in Luo Ziling’s embrace, she couldn’t break free and could only threaten him with a flushed face to let her go.

Luo Ziling released his arm from around her but didn’t let go of her hand. Instead, he led her back to their seats and sat down.

Then he said to Yang Qingye, “Qingye, why don’t you sit down too?”

“Sis, I am sitting down!” Yang Qingye giggled and sat next to Luo Ziling.

Without waiting for Yang Qingyin to say anything, Yang Qingye leaned his head close to Luo Ziling and asked Yang Qingyin earnestly, “Sis, who do you think is handsomer between the two of us? I think my brother-in-law is just a tiny bit handsomer than me. How about it, help us take a photo to commemorate this moment?”

“Humph, a pair of ugly freaks,” Yang Qingyin’s face was still flushed, but she didn’t bother to correct Yang Qingye’s impudent use of “brother-in-law” and said, “I can’t be bothered with you.”

Luo Ziling didn’t mind and simply chuckled before starting to drink his tea.

“The movie today was really exciting; it got my blood pumping!” Yang Qingye changed the subject, “Soldiers fighting for their country really earn my admiration. Even though it’s just a movie act, it feels like you’re right there in the thick of it. It makes me want to join the army, the special forces. Hehe! Brother-in-law, don’t you want to join the military too?”

“I’ve never thought about joining the military. But I know that the stories depicted in movies aren’t necessarily fiction. Many soldiers are carrying out tasks we can’t know about. They fight for the country, get injured for it, and even sacrifice their lives. They are truly worthy of respect,” Luo Ziling replied, thinking of Lin Lan and her comrades.

Members of Dragon Rise are elite special forces who can’t reveal themselves to the public, but they are always silently fighting for their country, where getting injured is a common occurrence, and sacrifices are often made.

Only by interacting with them could one understand their hardships.

Luo Ziling knew that what was shown in movies fell short of the exciting experiences Lin Lan and her team had been through.

Yang Qingyin glanced sideways at Luo Ziling, knowing what he was referring to.

But she didn’t want to talk about that and instead asked about Yang Qingye’s interaction with the girl they had just met.

Yang Qingye confessed honestly that he had broken up with his previous girlfriend because she was vain and always wanted him to buy her things, and she would show off in front of her classmates. Laughing about the girl just now, he said, “I haven’t considered her as my girlfriend yet; we’re still in the getting-to-know-you phase. I’ll decide whether to continue dating her after I understand her better.”

“Don’t let her think you’re just a playboy who enjoys toying with women,” Yang Qingyin sternly warned, “If you don’t fancy her, you should make it clear soon. Don’t play with her feelings. Better be alone than in bad company, understand?”

“Sis, I understand,” Yang Qingye nodded vigorously and then chuckled, “I’m actually quite envious of you two, a perfect match made in heaven, love at first sight. If I could have a romance as touching as yours, I’d willingly hang myself on a tree.”

As Yang Qingyin was about to become angry from embarrassment, Yang Qingye fiercely warned Luo Ziling, “Brother-in-law, let me warn you, don’t you dare bully my sister. You must treat her well and do so for the rest of your life. Besides my sister, you can’t be close to any other woman. If I find out you have wronged my sister, I will never forgive you.”

Yang Qingye’s righteous words left Luo Ziling utterly gobsmacked.

Yang Qingyin, who was about to lash out, was also left with her mouth agape.

However, his speech had successfully dissipated the annoyance in Yang Qingyin’s heart, and she didn’t scold Yang Qingye again.
