Chapter 336 – Hormonal Imbalance
Luo Qiqi did not know what else to say to Gu Yi’an.
Why did that have to happen!
She spotted Su Jincheng watching her from the door as she scratched her head in frustration.
“What are you looking at!”
“I’m looking at a beauty! I haven’t seen someone as beautiful as you!”
Gosh, please stop it with your nonsense.
Luo Qiqi rolled her eyes and slammed the door behind her after returning to her room.
Su Jinyu poked his head out and looked up at Su Jincheng. “Daddy, what’s wrong with Mummy? Is she in a bad mood?”
“Don’t make wild guesses!”
“I’m not! I care about Mummy!”
“Okay! I think she has a hormonal imbalance. Can you tell me how to help her out? If you don’t have any ideas, then go somewhere else and play!”
Su Jinyu frowned as he walked back to his own room.
Su Jincheng was still standing in the same place when Gu Yi’an walked out with his suitcase.
Seeing Gu Yi’an, he said, “Sometimes, we can’t see it when we are the ones pushing ourselves into a corner. Just like how I was hesitant to come to terms with my own feelings when I knew that Qiqi had been in Interpol. I picked Ming Ruoyuan even though she was the one I loved. I wish I didn’t do that, but because of everything that happened after, I know what’s really important now!”
He then turned back and returned to his room.
Gu Yi’an stared into space for a while before choosing to leave eventually.
Su Jincheng and Luo Qiqi packed up and moved into an apartment in the Shallow Sea Area after Gu Yi’an left.
Gu Yi’an had arranged for the current apartment they were in for Luo Qiqi to recover in a comfortable place, but now that she was much better, they decided to move out.
Luo Qiqi replaced the broken fish tank with a new one before they left.
When Guan Zijue came knocking, he realized that nobody was in the apartment.
He frowned and asked Guan Zixuan for help in locating Luo Qiqi and the rest.
Guan Zixuan knew that it was Gu Yi’an his brother wanted to see, and he knew that Guan Zijue was still reeling from learning that Gu Yi’an was still alive. However, Guan Zixuan did not expect for his older brother to take the news so badly.
Luo Qiqi was still in the midst of unpacking when Guan Zixuan called, so she put the phone on speaker as she answered.
“What’s up? Did you upset Xia Zi again?”
Guan Zixuan laughed. “No, I didn’t! I’ve been very obedient!”
“Then what? Are you going to invite us for another gathering tonight? Last night was a disaster. Let’s not do that again. I’ll meet up with Xia Zi separately!”
“Where are you now?”
“At the Shallow Sea Area, I...”
Smacking her forehead, she said, “I forgot that you and A’zi are here too! That’s great. It’s convenient when visiting. I’m in Su Jincheng’s villa, don’t go knocking on the wrong door!”
After hesitating for a while, Guan Zixuan finally asked, “How about Gu Yi’an? He didn’t move in with you guys?”
“Why would he do that!”
“Oh, because there’s no one else at his place, so I thought all of you moved!”
“Guan Zixuan, get to the point please. You’re not interested in our location, you just want to know where Gu Yi’an went! It was Guan Zijue, right? Give him the phone, I’ve got something to say to him!”
Guan Zixuan gave an awkward laugh and ended the call quickly.
Knowing Luo Qiqi’s temper, there was no way he would pass the phone to Guan Zijue. He didn’t want to be caught in the middle if they got into an argument!
Luo Qiqi smirked. Hah, trying to find out where Gu Yi’an went? Dream on!
Guan Zixuan looked at Guan Zijue who was standing beside him. He was no help at all!
He failed at getting any information, and Guan Zijue was staring daggers at him right now.
Guan Zijue glared at him as he asked, “Anything?”
Shaking his head, Guan Zixuan said, “Nope!”
Guan Zijue’s gaze turned cold.
Guan Zixuan then suggested, “Bro, how about you go to the airport or the interchange? Gu Yi’an might be there somewhere!”
This seemed to remind Guan Zijue of something and he turned to leave immediately.
He left A City on the same day Gu Yi’an left.
Gu Yi’an did not travel under an assumed identity this time, probably because he did not expect Guan Zijue to actually come looking for him.
Su Jincheng told Luo Qiqi about Guan Zijue leaving A City after he got the news. “What I told him must have worked. Or else why would someone as intelligent as Gu Yi’an leave such a clear trace for Guan Zijue!”
Luo Qiqi rolled her eyes at him. “How can you be so sure that Guan Zijue went chasing after Gu Yi’an then?”
“It’s a man’s intuition. If Guan Zijue doesn’t know where Gu Yi’an went, I guarantee you he wouldn’t have left A City!”
“You’re so sure about that?”
“Of course!”
……
At an obscure village in the country.
Gu Yi’an was now a teacher in a village.
He had initially wanted to travel leisurely and go wherever the wind took him, but a storm caused him to get stuck on the road while he was in the mountains. Residents of a nearby village helped him out during that storm, and he thus decided to stay in that village for a while.
The scenery was amazing in the village, and the atmosphere was extremely relaxing!
After spending a couple of days in the village, Gu Yi’an realized that both education and healthcare were lacking there. The children were eager to learn, but they were not able to get access to proper education, and the villagers did not have the money to see a doctor when they fell ill.
He thus decided to open up a free clinic in the village and even took in a disciple. He trained this disciple in medical knowledge and taught him how to get the necessary medicine, hoping that the disciple would be able to take over his role as doctor after he leaves.
After setting up the clinic, he decided to sign up to be a volunteer teacher. Though there was a school in the village, the standard of education was too low, and the teachers were less than qualified.
Gu Yi’an thus bought textbooks, desks and chairs for the students, being a volunteer teacher and doctor at the same time.
Out of gratitude, the villagers addressed him as ‘Merciful An’.
Most of his time was spent either in school or in his clinic.
There was a resort nearby, but it was privately-owned and the owners did not allow the villagers to do any sort of business there, or else it would definitely have helped with the economic development in the village.
To reach the resort, one would have to pass by the village and the mountainous road was extremely dangerous during storms. There were already a few accidents which happened in the past.
Because of that, the villagers formed a volunteer group and they would always go take a look at the area after storms passed to see if there was anyone who was stuck and who needed help on the road.
It was raining cats and dogs today, and Gu Yi’an frowned at this. It was already the fifth time he had witnessed such stormy weather since his arrival, and this seemed to be the worst storm he had seen here so far.
His eyelid kept twitching, as if it was an omen of foreboding.
After the storm ended, he decided to follow the villagers who were on their way to the area.
The village chief saw him and smiled. “You’re coming too, Mr. Gu?”
