Chapter 651 - Dream On!

Yvonne's feet, which were moving in the direction of the stables, came to a halt when she was standing in the middle of the grazing field that was close to Demon's stable.

Staring up at the bright afternoon sky, she glowered when something came to her mind.

The script that she had read was being changed and while she might be a cause for this change, she nonetheless felt that things were moving in a strange direction which she was not too pleased with.

She had worked so hard to stay away from the Royal family but in just one day, she had met so many of them and learned about many new things from them too.

'Is this what he meant by saying 'Let the punishment begin'?' Yvonne wondered with her eyes narrowed at the sky.

What she was working towards was beginning to crumble right before her eyes which was making her seethe in anger.

Therefore, with that animosity and hostility bubbling up in her heart, she glared at the sky.

"You think that by dropping me in this backward-ass world, I'm going to approve of your work?" She snarled at the bright sky..

She had been working hard to stay away from the plot by keeping her name anonymous when helping the King but the King had used her name in order to elevate the status of women in this Kingdom.

She was all for the cause but she still hoped to stay out of the public's eye and away from the members of the Royal family.

However, now that seemed to be a pipedream that would never come true, especially after everything that she had seen today.

Therefore, it was understandable that she was frustrated and right now, the one on the receiving end of her lashings was the God who had sent her to this world.

Demon had felt his Master close by so when Yvonne was still in the grazing field, he had already made his way towards her.

However, he stood at a distance and watched as she muttered something incoherent while staring at the sky.

He could not understand what those words meant but he could grasp that she was not in her usual mood.

She appeared to be miffed at the sky as a deep sense of anger radiated from her little body.

As he continued to watch her in silence, the little girl raised her hand as she pointed her middle finger at the sky.

"Dream on!" Her childish voice echoed in the surroundings before she turned away.

Demon and Yvonne's eyes met when she turned in his direction and the little girl coughed to alleviate her embarrassment for being caught while doing something so absurd but soon shook her head.

'He wouldn't even be listening to what I just said.' She scoffed at the God who dropped her here and had vanished into thin air.

However, the loud rumbling that echoed in the sky proved her thoughts wrong.

A certain God had been pleased today when he heard a large group of people praying with an earnest heart to him, for his benevolence and continual protection.

Thus he had been lingering around to see how things would pan out.

Therefore, when he saw this little girl speaking against him and even displaying such a disrespectful gesture, the God of flight and thunder almost puked blood.

'Looks like my punishment wasn't enough!' He growled causing the clouds to darken and thunder to rumble in the skies.

Demon felt his body trembling as this was an aura he was quite familiar with.

'Lord Asmodeus!' He recalled as his crimson eyes gazed at the darkening sky.

Yvonne too stopped in her steps as she turned to look at the sky which had transformed from bright and warm to the dark clouds threatening to dampen the ground with its thunderstorms.

One child and her etcher were the only ones in the grazing field and with no one around them.

The thundering skies appeared out of nowhere and had disrupted the serene afternoon but it looked like no one had noticed this strange phenomenon.

For, no servant or another soul came out to take a look at the sky.

What was even more strange was that these clouds seemed to be only focused over the grazing field while the surrounding areas continued to have the usual bright skies.

Yvonne could not observe this strange phenomenon for too long as another sight had caught her eye.

With only two witnesses around, two figures descended from the sky that had parted to give way for them to enter.

Demon's head was already lowered to pay respect to those who appeared while Yvonne leered through the blinding light that had surrounded the two figures amidst the dark clouds.

Two birds, one bigger than the other, descended from the parted clouds and came to a halt before the little girl.

A pair of grey eyes were fixed on the child who seemed to have too many grievances against him.

Yvonne had seen only one of them so her curious eyes were more interested to know who the other figure was.

Therefore, even when the God of flight and thunder himself was right before her, she would rather look at the other bird than at him.

'Cute!' She marveled at the sight of the pure white bird whose eyes were the shade of sparkling red, a color which she had not seen in any other's eyes ever before.

Even Demon's eyes were a deep crimson while Marquess Samed's was a pale vermilion.

The only pair of pure red eyes with no other shade in it that she had seen was in the bird hovering in the air next to the annoying God whom she had met a few times in the past.

This new bird was prettier which made Yvonne's frustrated heart melt at its sight.

Asmodeus had been away on vacation for a long time and only recently had he returned to his heavenly abode.

He and his disciple, Theo, had experienced a blissful vacation during this time and when they returned, they spent their time doing absolutely nothing.

Being sentient immortal beings, they had a lot of time but nothing to do with this time.

Therefore, Asmodeus had used this time to train his disciple who was weak enough to faint during the last time that they had met his long-time nemesis, Neo.

Theo had been undergoing torturous training by his Master but he did not complain since this was for his betterment.

Just today, when they had completed their training, they had heard prayers being said to the God of flight and thunder.

Therefore, they were both in a pleasant mood and were enjoying the fresh produce that the Goddess of harvest had sent over for them.

However, that went down the drain when they heard a not-so-friendly voice snarling at the God who was high up in the skies.

This had managed to infuriate him enough to make an appearance in broad daylight.

Thankfully, Theo was now powerful enough and had even learned how to exercise control over these powers.

Thus he cast a spell over the estate of the St. Claires so that no one would notice the anomaly in nature that their abrupt appearance had created.

This was the reason why no one had stepped outside to check why the weather had shifted so drastically in just a few seconds.

The entire estate was under a trance where they found nothing to be odd and would carry on with what they were doing, not bothered about the rumbling skies that seemed to have surrounded only the St. Claire estate.

The rest of Amarthea had clear skies while only this portion of land had cloudy skies which were aimed in only one area of the estate.

Asmodeus had appeared out of nowhere but the child was more concerned about the disciple flying next to him.

"Eyes on me!" He fluttered his wings, sending a gust of wind towards Yvonne and succeeding in bringing her attention over to him.

Demon was surprised to see their God attacking his Master but sighed when he saw that no harm was done to her.

Yvonne only felt a slight breeze tap against her cheek, turning her head in the direction of the other bird whom she had been ignoring until now to gaze at the pretty little white bird whom she had seen for the first time today.

"What?" She glared at the culprit who had turned her away from that glorious sight.
