Chapter 167 167: Singularity In The Apocalypse
Chapter 167 167: Singularity In The Apocalypse
?But even if something was wrong, there wasn't anything that Cole could do about it at that very moment as they were still being attacked by Zombies. He raised an arm up and created a blast of [Gravity] that intercepted what seemed to be a pink energy beam that had flown at them from within the crowd or rather the horde of zombies. Cole did not even want to know what that beam did, he wasn't sure he would have enjoyed finding out anyways.
He reached out an arm and placed it on Irma's shoulder, the flames seemed to react to his proximity, flaring up and swallowing up his hand in an attempt to burn it to dust just like it had done for the other Zombies. Cole pulled his hand back in shock, but all that could not compare to Irma gritting her teeth as she spoke top no one in particular.
"I will not let you hurt him!" there was just so much pain, struggle and hatred in her voice that Cole for a moment forgot that he was in the middle of a fight, but the zombies did not as they rushed forwards, however a momentary lapse of attention was not enough to bring Cole down, after all he has his domain to fall back on in case things crept up on him.
He moved his head to the side as a zombie who seemed to be made entirely of rock…. If rock was rotten and fetid. The rocky fist? Wheezed past his ears with enough force that the wind itself was displaced. But all of the energy from that punch dissipated harmlessly as Cole had evaded it. He smashed his right hand backwards, Black Malakai still held in a reverse grip as the sword plunged into the throat of the Zombie, followed quickly be an upwards slash that once again spilt the zombie's skull in two.
Cole shifted his attention back to Irma and noticed that she was doing better. Back on her feet and using a whip made of fire to fight her way through the Horde of zombies. Cole followed right on her heels, but they were not moving even nearly or perhaps a quarter as fast as he would have preferred for them to move, which means it was upon to him to try and clear the path…..but the flying super powered Zombies would not even give them so much as a chance to get through.
Another eye beam came flying their way, speeding through the distance with the force of a falling star with as much heat to melt steel to slag in seconds. Cole responded as he flung a [Chaos Blast] in the direction of the beam. The ensuing explosion was so powerful that Both Cole and Irma were blasted forwards, their bodies scraping the quad as they were thrown forwards akin to bowling pins.
It would be a lie if Cole said it wasn't painful, but thankfully they were not the only ones that had been affected by the clash of energy and abilities. All of the Zephyr collective zombies, except for the buff dude with the insane ocular beam were already on the ground. Cole envisioned that perhaps he was this universe or perhaps this side of system's universe superman. So perhaps tangoing with him would not be the [proper thing to do.
Especially without his access to his movement and teleportation skills. He dragged himself up and summoned [Chaos Blast] again, this time though he enforced his will on the skill, reshaping it from its explosive sphere form and scattering it in his grasp until it seemed as if he was holding on to a black Hole in his hands... and then that was when Cole got the idea.
What happens if per say you unceremoniously mix the power of gravity and chaos together? Cole happily wanted to find out as he restructured the [Chaos Blast] back into its original form, but this time infusing a lot of [Negative energy] and as much of the power of gravity as he could squeeze into the Baseball sized vision of destruction and energy.
Immediately Cole felt the weight as his hand dipped to the ground with such force that it smashed the earth below to pieces. Wind picked up around them as the ball of energy began to rotate fiercely, and started dragging and drawing every little thing in the vicinity to itself. For some reason the skill drew the attention of every single Zombie in the vicinity.
This also spoke volumes of the level or presence of intelligence within this Zombie horde, they were definitely not like the traditional zombies that Cole had already gotten in contact with. Or not gotten in contact with per say, but ultimately you get the gist. But there was no time to think, another ocular beam came flying his way, but it was unceremoniously sucked into the now rapidly expanding orb of blackness within Cole's hand.
"I think you need to ditch that fucking skill and let's get the fuck out of here!" Irma called out from behind him, already running as she was made her way towards the vent. The zombies on the other hand were all acting as if they were entranced, and while Cole had no idea why, he still knew how to take a good advice when one has been given to him. He flung the orb, and turned without even caring to see what happened next, and he paid the price for it as a beam lanced into his back and out through his chest, burning a large hole through his body.
[Chaos Curse Triggered]
Cole screamed out loud, a more resilient body meant that injuries like this no longer killed him immediately, it would be a slow burn to either death or recovery as his body healed itself, but this was a lot worse than being stabbed or shot, a hole the size of a bowl was burnt into his body with his flesh still sizzling as micro particles of whatever energy laid in that ocular beam still burned him.
But Cole was nothing if not a fanatic for pain, the things that would bring any other person down to their knees in pain would make this fledgling world breaker smile and chuckled, so he turned, anger etched on his features as he ignored the literal black hole expanding over his head as he infused more than half of his energy into Black Malakai, causing the blade to vibrate intensely as he swung out, using [Black Cut] as a wave of black energy surged outwards, reaping scores of zombies before reaching the zombie with the flight and laser beam eyes.
The zombie had already been brought to the ground from the triggering of the [Chaos Curse] the wave slashed into its chest, nearly splitting its body in half as it was thrown back, all of the flesh from its waist excavated with the only thing remaining intact being its spine. Cole's eyes widened in shock as he realized something….. All this time that Zombie had been toying with him.
He turned and took to his heels, and not too late either as the black hole picked up speed in its rotation and began to draw in thing that were a lot large than the norm…..aka the zombies. He ducked under a wild swing from a zombie that we being dragged through the air. Cole was confused as it seemed to him as if the attractive force of the black hole did not seem to work on him.
[Gravity + Chaos Blast= Chaos Singularity]
Cole had his eyes widened in shock as he finally realized that this was not a black hole…. It was much worse, and it was still growing, expanding to encompass and swallow even more than what Cole expected. He ran then leapt into the air, right after Irma's flame trailing form, sliding into the vent in one swift move. He noticed her waiting for him and could not resist screaming at her.
"Run!"
And run she did as she quickly picked up speed moving through the vent while Cole followed as quickly as possible. Massive sounds of groaning and loud crashes coupled with the wild screeches and moans of zombies filled the air. The entire building itself seemed to shudder as a force of unimaginable power had been born within it.
As they rushed forwards it seemed as if the vent itself was now being dragged in as the sounds of groaning was coming from it being pulled back into the [Chaos singularity]. He suddenly bumped into Irma who had paused for God knows what while they were running for their lives. However he had bumped into her hard enough that she was pushed forwards and out the side of the building with Cole following not to long after as they both fell out into open air thousands of feet in the air down to their impending doom.
