Chapter 218 218: Plans II
There wasn't much that Cole and Tehilla could talk about that she had not mentioned already. But still she had made all of the necessary moves, and everything that they had ran from when they left earth would have sorted itself to a degree. Of course his aunt was still after him, but short of rescuing Cassandra and her son, there was nothing else that would or could keep Cole in space.
She was right about the fact that land on earth was always being sold at a premium, e en of it ended up in a place as unsavory as the slums. Having land meant he had a lot of power at his disposal due to the lack of housing and the sheer fact that Earth was having an over population problem. But never the less they need to find and industry to sink their teeth into that would withstand not just the test of time, but whatever it is the system universe would throw their way.
The luxury space cruisers would bring in big bucks from the elite, but there was only so much money and importance a luxury space vehicle could bring in a new world that would definitely bring havoc and destruction in it's wake. So they narrowed down their options, they would focus on technological and magical research along with weapons manufacturing and cyber enhancements. All of these were based on assets that Cole current had, or will be gaining. And then as a side hustle they could try their hands in the winery and brewery business, whether their universe ends or not, people would always drink alcohol, and Cole now had access to the facilities required to make some, and not just ordinary wine or alcohol, but magical ones…. Ultimately it was up to him.
He agreed with her wholeheartedly. And then after all the talk of business they moved on to the problem that was now ahead of Cole. His grandparents were obviously trying to manipulate things. They tried to have him killed because he would not fully conform to their vision for him and the future. He wouldn't lie though, on some twisted level these two cared about themselves, if not they would never have banded together in order to use and control Cole for their now perfect vision of the future.
They were still family though, but still the sting of betrayal would be hard to remove for the foreseeable future, Cole would have to confront them. And that would most definitely bring his gallivanting adventure through space to an end. Besides with the fifth floor about to open he definitely needed to hurry back, and make sure that things were under his control. Dungeons would be appearing on earth once the fifth floor opens up, allowing many forces a chance to come through, and attempt to weaken the very foundations of earth and build a base until it was time for them to the universe's to match…. Cole was not ready to let that happen to him or his people.
To be honest he wasn't being chivalrous, the entire universe could burn for all he cares, but. Whatever it is that affects the majority would most definitely touch the minority….. he wanted to be prepared and above whatever conflicts that would be thrown his way. Also once the fifth floor is made accessible and he gets into it, after seeing just how much time he has to himself, he intends to spend most of his time building up his territory and his whatever company or industries he had to cultivate on earth.
"Aren't you running late?" Tehilla asked him as he leaned back against her bed watching her getting dressed. It was a very arousing sight, but ultimately he was just taking the time to appreciate the curves and contours of her body. But he shrugged his shoulders and said.
"Cassandra and Farida are there. They should be able to hold their ground if they fight together. While they can't beat me individually, should they join forces they would most definitely force me to retreat from the fight, at costs to themselves but, they can push me enough to the edge that running away would be the only way to avoid our mutual destruction." Cole responded as Tehilla nodded her head.
"It's a good idea that you've decided to take the time to develop your territory, the women around you should be good enough helpers to keep unsavory characters away from you. And Phonenixborn clan that you were talking about, they can become an elite police force to patrol your territory. Never the less all these are things you would need to take one step at a time, but ultimately you do still need administrative help, so do hurry up and make those dungeons so that I can pass through and save you from a disaster."
Cole scowled, he had a very good head on his shoulder, he didn't see why Tehilla had to bring him down every opportunity she got, but then again perhaps she was trying to keep his pride in check, that annoying but sexy tilted smile of hers said everything about the situation.
He shook his head as he waved her bye, he had things to deal with as it is. And they would soon be coming up on Cassandra's and her Son's location. He needed to make sure he was done with his required ten waves, because after that it would be an epic battle waiting for him in real life, and any wrong move would mean the end of himself and his allies. He needed to be ready, Cole logged in, basking in the multiple flashes of different colored lights before he reappeared, right in the middle of a horde of undead Banelings.
He couldn't really see anything as this group of Banelings were quite taller than him and by a significant margin to. They were bulky, and every step they took was a march as they seemed to cause vibrations that created debilitating shockwaves that seemed to function much like [Vertigo] did. This was an army formation, even more highlighted by the fact that each and every single one of them was armored and with weapons….. from the looks of things shit had been taken up another level. But then again the best way to deal with an army like this was to drop a bomb right in their center, and right now, that's exactly what Cole is…..a bomb….. with shrill thrill [Black Malakai] slid out of it's sheathe and the slaughter began.
