Chapter 299 299: Ring A Ring A Prison II

The world seemed to pause, but just for a moment as Cole used a measly 50 energy points to activate the skill, just enough for him to see what it could do. Vibration la visible to the eyes crossed the air and hit the fish man, causing him to pause as he spat out a mouthful of blood and fell to his knees.

But Cole was not in a merciful Moore as his right knee met the bridge of the Fishman's nose. The creature was blasted backwards, his body turning head over heels before coming to a stop, smashing his head against the ground and leaving a bloody smear on the ground. But this guy was good rank, and perhaps even at a higher rank in his stats than Cole, there was no way this was enough to bring him down, So Cole unceremoniously followed up his attack.

He leapt up into the sky, eldritch black and red energies wrapped around his blade as he utilized [Black Cut] powered by the refinement of gold rank energy, it was much more powerful than before, so much so that it seemed as if the Silver rank blade was almost unable to handle it as [Black Malakai] shook vigorously in Cole's hand.

The Fishman looked up just in time for Cole to land and cleave his skull in two. His defense would have been such that the silver Ranked blade would not have been able to destroy him. But Cole was the one using it, and augmenting the blade with his good rank energy was enough to finish the deed as the Fishman crashed to the ground, very much dead. Cole flicked the blood off the blade as he huffed, turned around and broke into a run.

There were four rings, aka four floors to the prison within the Naughty Nurse. Cole crossed the second one rapidly as he reached the third, only to find a literal army of pirates waiting for him. He brought himself to a halt as he observed all of them. He was not so sure that they had witnessed his previous fight, but even if they did there was not a hint fright or fear in their sights. These were people who were used to hunting entities way stronger than they were, Cole was not going to scare them and they were more than willing to prove and show it to him.

They were all in a formation and without hesitation they let loose all of their harpoons, covering every square inch of area in front of Cole without even giving him so much as a little bit of space to escape. But Cole was already really powerful as a silver rank that an attack of this level would not have been able to slow him down. They were dealing with a being, a person who made a living beating and going against the odds, this was child's play.

Cole raised his hand as he used [Gravity] bringing all of the harpoons heading his way to a stop. Then relying a bit on his [Telekinesis] Auxiliary he turned the harpoons so that they were pointing in the direction that they were coming from, and with a small smile on his face sent it flying back.

The fishmen all released a variety of skills, each of them trying to find a way to stop the attacks from getting to them. But as far as Cole was concerned, everything they tried do was futile as the Harpoons moved as if there homing beacons, curving around the skills that were utilized to defend against Cole's counter attack. Each harpoon hit home, taking off a head or going through a throat.

In mere seconds all that was left was a floor of dead bodies as Cole moved forward. He was hoping back so that Black Malakai could absorb the souls it needed to evolve. Of course based on previous scenario, Cole was sure the blade already had the levels it needed to level up. But be that as it may, he had to be sure.

He did not face any other enemies on the prison floors until he got to the door that would lead him outside, right behind the elevator that was tightly locked. The security for the Naughty Nurse was really High, and it was understandable as this was in order to keep the prisoners secured. He Observed the Elevator and the door beyond that would take in into the crew's section of the ship, and most definitely where he would find the pirates. And it seemed they were already waiting for him.

"Give it up Punk! I don't care how powerful you are, you're not getting through that gate. So surrender and I might consider not taking your fucking worthless life." Cole sniffed in response as he looked at the hologram that had popped up in front of him. It was crystal clear and showing the captain and his surroundings, surroundings that were at the moment devoid of anyone but the Captain, and just good enough for a Cole to take Action.

[Shadow Dance]

Cole vanished into the ground, swallowed by his own shadow as the captain who had been watching through the ship's surveillance was shocked. He kept on changing, looking through different feeds in order to find Cole, but no matter how hard or where he searched, there was no sign of Cole.

The captain was a very paranoid person. Having an enemy within his domain that he couldn't track was enough to drive him crazy. But he couldn't stop though, he couldn't stop. If he did not find this trouble that they had fished out of the sea, then perhaps he would really get thrown into prison or worse….he was going to die. And the thought scared him, it scared him a lot.

"hmm…. You know it doesn't matter how many times you change and refresh those images you would not be able to find me, do you know why? Well why don't I enlighten you. It because I'm here, right here, with just you, here! Where I I'm going to kill you in the most painful way ever, do buckle up! Hehehehe -Hahahahaha!"
